Most rude staff members EVER! They come around to do their business with their tenants and park their car on my dropped Kerb. They ignore the ''no parking'' sign and guess what? They even ignored me when tried to talk to that young ''lady''.
NCP is on it's way and a complaint is opened with the Countrywide Residential Lettings Limited.
As a landlord I will NEVER, EVER make business with them, NEVER!

It has been a pleasure to deal with Harriet.
I was genuinely surprised by the level of customer service we were provided as it made us feel important in the eyes of the agent.
Viewing and application to the property was smooth and they answered all our questions when asked.
We were in a hurry to get a new place due to certain circumstances and the cleaner had not visited our new place yet but we were more than happy to clean the property ourselves even thought we were offered that a cleaner will come if we wanted so. Couple days later we did ask if it would still be possible to arrange a cleaning for certain things and this was no problem.
I would highly recommend this agency branch all due to my personal experience with them so far even thought it has not been long.

200 mile, 4 hour round trip for a viewing and the agent neglected to state on the property details that the landlord would not consider pets...
I had even spoken to the agent a few days before and stated we had a pet, agent said they would get back to us to see if the landlord would reconsider, we have not heard from them.

The Ely Tucker Gardner Team (Owen & Lauren) have been brilliant with my house sale. I had 3 estate agents provide valuations, and chose Tucker Gardner because Owen was so down to earth and not ‘pushy’ at all like some of the other estate agents. I was a bit nervous selling my first house, but he was very knowledgeable and completely put me at ease. One word for this team, "Outstanding" Owen the Branch Manager leads by example, professional, honest, responsive, and just as important, customer focused, and when he says he's going to do something he does it, as does his team. I have used 4 different Estate Agents in Ely in 20yrs, and TG are by far the best. They gave us a valuation that reflected the market and demand, and didn't undervalue it to get a quick sale. Excellent customer service and you feel they are really rooting for you and doing everything they can to make the process as stress free as possible. If you're wavering on who to use, contact Owen, he won't let you down.

DO NOT RENT FROM TUCKER GARDNER.
Where do I begin?
* refused to fix issues with damp (caused by broken pipes, tried to blame us for daring to close our windows)
* house was put up for sale without anyone informing us, prospective buyers were taken into the house without anyone asking/checking with us
* Tucker Gardner lied during the checkout process and tried to blame us for pre-existing damage
We had to appeal the deposit deductions, and due to more lies from Tucker Gardner some of their deductions were allowed: they refused to provide copies of emails, in direct breach of GDPR, and cheerfully admitted such! Ultimately we had to bring them to small claims court, where (again) they lied and denied throughout the whole process before finally offering a settlement just before the court date, which we accepted. Rude, incompetent, arrogant and dismissive. DO NOT RENT FROM TUCKER GARDNER. Doubtless they'll respond to this saying "please email us to discuss this further" - well, we tried their formal complaints process already, and they just ignore you when you have evidence which proves them wrong. Essentially they know they can get away with anything as they know very few people will have the time or inclination to bring them to court.

I became a tenant of one of their managed properties 2 months ago. They were very prompt in my request for a viewing, and were very friendly and professional throughout. Since I became a tenant nothing has been too small for them to help with. I was really surprised with the low reviews, they've been nothing short of excellent to me, especially Elliot at the Ely office.

Honestly where i do i start. Still trying after a month of leaving a rented property to get our deposit back. AVOID at all costs as I've never dealt with cowboys sooo bad in my life. They fail to even read the most basic of emails and let alone Acknowledge that you have contacted them. Had a serious mould build up in the house took over a month before even anyone came to look, then nearly 3 months later no work carried out still just emails of we are waiting for a quote..... like hell they are. Will be raising a dispute of the fess they charge for leaving (and we didn't leave our agreement early) i advise any one to seek legal help or raise a dispute once you do leave as they will surely try to charge you fees that they can not.

Communication between us and them was a mess. We had in those 18 months probably 3 reps who were ment to manage our property, none of whom spoke to each other.
Typical estate agents who treat "renters" like the lower end of the scale of importance.
There was an issue with our boiler at one stage, not sure exactly what it was but it messed up our gas meter reading and then we had to pay a large bill with British Gas because of it. TG refused to offer any assistance.
When we came to buying a house we specially avoided any house being sold via TG.

1 star is too generous.
Unfortunately we rented a property through Tucker Gardener.
There were a whole host of issues which the agent exacerbated by basically being rubbish or lying, some were probably due to the landlord.
The initial property review wasn't complete and the issue missed was later used against us when we moved out claiming for cleaning fees for things that weren't our fault.
During the tenancy we had problems with the shower leaking and it took them over 4 weeks to resolve and required 3 days of work missed to accommodate the plumbers.
Other issues such as horrendous smells from the drains were just ignored.
On leaving the property, it took over 4 full months to get the deposit we were owed back, which included going through the independent arbitrator (who found in our favour), during this period Tucker Gardner consistently didn't respond to messages or basically lied to us, including withholding the whole deposit even through only just over £200 was disputed.
Thankfully we were in a position to not be bullied by the underlying the threat that they would with hold the full amount until a small portion was resolved (which is against legislation/guidance).
Delighted to never have to deal with them again and it would do everyone good if they failed as a business.
@ scott - saw your reply, what's the point? All your positive reviews are from landlords and new tenants, ALL of your negative reviews are from tenants who have left and experience and all cover how awful your company is, clearly this is systematically how you treat tenants when they leave properties you rent to them, there is no attempt to improve this or appetite to change so providing more feedback is a waste of everyones time.

In particular Owen, whom I can't thank enough for his hard work and determination in making my sale run as smooth as possible. Communication was second to none, always very informative and keeping in touch once a week whether there were any updates or not. Had a nightmare experience renting a flat in Witchford for two years with TuckerGardner. It got worse when we moved out to our own home last year. The check in and out reports were done by themselves. The huge amount of mould in the washing machine was not recorded in the check in report. The gas meter reference was also wrong (recorded as the neighbour's one). We provided washing machine photos and corrected the gas meter with them and had their email confirmations. The flat was not professionally cleaned (apart from carpet) when we moved in. We removed the dirty mould in the washing machine and always kept the flat clean and airy. When moving out, we had the carpet professionally cleaned and we cleaned the whole flat in and out before giving the keys back. However, we couldn't believe they wanted us to agree to pay for cleaning invoice with NO clear figures. We're stressed enough for our home buying process but we had to investigate into their check out report which was very difficult to compare with the check in report because they're not in the same layout. The gas meter reference was still wrong. The removal of mould in the washing machine didn't count anything. After giving page numbers of the evidence from their check in report, we managed to delete half of the items that they wanted to charge us. However, we're still waiting for weeks for the cleaning invoice figure which they never gave us. At the end we had no choice but apply for dispute for our deposit.
I wouldn't give one star but I have to for writing review...

AVOID using Tucker Gardner when renting! Extremely poor property management, communication and customer service at Tucker Gardner Ely/Cambridge, if there was a 0 star rating, I would definitely choose that.
We rented with them in Ely for 6 years and had many many issues with the agency both in Ely and in Cambridge (as our Property Manager was based in Cambridge). When something breaks, they will first try to make you pay for it (issues that are their/landlords` responsibility to fix) or they just simply ignore the issues you raise.
When we handed in our notice in line with our contract, they wanted to overcharge us for an extra month`s rent and then ignored our daily emails requesting evidence to support their request. Finally, they sent us a document they claimed was `evidence` but it was full of factual mistakes and wasn`t even signed by us. Also tried to overcharge us in relation to some end of tenancy cleaning bills. Luckily we queried these and suddenly we saved over £100!
Moving out and getting our deposit back was an extremely stressful experience as we had to constantly argue with Tucker Gardner who kept making mistakes and making up stories which changed every time we queried something.
This is the worst agency we have ever come across and cannot believe that this is an acceptable standard in 2018! Advice for tenants: Check your contract when you move in and out carefully (+take pictures of EVERYTHING) and make sure to ask for official quotes of any cleaning bills relating to your end of tenancy bill, don`t accept a vague figure in an email.

The sales team were so helpful with my search for properties in Ely and the surrounding towns/villages! Coming up from South End to be nearer my daughter that moved to Cambridge for work, was quite daunting as my husband and me aren’t familiar with the area at all. Lauren, Tamsin and Owen greeted us instantly as we walked into their branch, and were so welcoming and helpful with giving me great information on each of the areas and really helped with our search. We were in there for almost 45 minutes! Will hopefully be viewing some of their properties soon!

Friendly staff, but they seem quite disorganised. Agent didn't meet us where we agreed or call to let us know the change, and we couldn't actually view one of the properties because builders had the only set of keys. I have rented with TG of Cambridge before and my experience was fine, but I'd be hesitant about renting from this agency as you may find your broken boiler never actually gets fixed. Read more reviews though from actual tenants!

What a wonderful experience from this high street agent! Staff were both enthusiastic and knowledgeable. They kept me up to date every step of the way and took care of a lot of the worries for me!
On the day I moved in I realised I had not arranged utilities, and I began to panic. Upon ringing Tucker Gardner they informed me that this is all taken care of as part of there service and is already in place! Really saved me there.
Special thanks to Elliot for all his work on the let along with the lettings manager (sorry the name evades me) who both had fantastic knowledge and professionalism!
In general I cannot recommend Tucker Gardner enough! And will certainly use them in the future when I look to buy!

Having recently split from the OH I felt I was going back 15 years , venturing back into the world of renting. Having checked out the internet I decided to drive to Ely and check out the local villages and then parked up and walked into the centre . Having visited all the estate agents, I have to say Tucker Gardner really did stand out. I did actually feel that Elliot wanted to help me. Although short notice he arranged a couple of viewings and off I went. Another young guy showed me round and although he couldn’t answer all my questions he was a really happy chap and rang me back the following day. The application process was not straight foreword, but that was my own fault for filling it in wrong, but Liam seemed to sort out with little fuss. The fees were higher than expected but I have to admit I had a good experience with this company and as I sit here in my new house, I am happy to put finger to keypad and write this review. Keep up the good work and most importantly keep smiling as many of your competitors are so grumpy.

As stated before, is a really unprofessional company and takes a long time to communicate with them. Every time you try to contact them they will pass you to a different agent who have no idea about the issues you have been trying to solve. It will take months and 20 people to get something done!
Also, they do not offer any help to the tenant. It has been 3 weeks since I left the flat and I still do not have my deposit back, claiming some cleaning fees that are not fair!
For the past two years I rented with them and I never felt they did a proper job, so I will not recommend this to anyone, avoid if possible!

Any communication took months before getting an answer...and i rented an apartment for 4 years...and it was always painful to communicate with them. Any time new people to talk to and always without a clue on anything. ...
I left the property weeks ago in good conditions and I still have to receive an answer about my deposit... called 2 times but the answer is always that someone got sick or out of the office...it seems they are making joke of you....
Very unprofessional people...if the market was based on service quality they should have closed a while ago!

I have never come across a more unprofessional company. The staff in the ely branch lack any communication skills. I’ve been passed through many agents who have no idea what I have been talking about. I do not understand why I was ever charged an admin fee as I was the one chasing around doing their work. And as for trying to receive my deposit back it’s been ridiculous. They use a cleaning company in order for them to retain a profit. They really are a joke! I advise you not to use tucker Gardner. And I will be seeking legal advice.
