1st Apr 2025 (18 days ago)We recently sold our house through Pocock and Shaw. From start to finish they have been professional and efficient. Magnus talked us through the process and got our house on the market within 2 weeks. We had a very tricky journey with the sale falling through once and the whole process taking a year. However, the process would have been more stressful without their involvement. Elen was amazing with communication and was always able to give us regular updates on what was happening in the chain. Would definitely recommend them.

I am very thankful for her and all of the kind staff- 3rd Apr 2025 (16 days ago)I previously likened Susan from William H Brown Lettings in Newmarket to “Carlsberg” probably the best in the world. I like to think I’m a good judge of character but unfortunately I was way off the mark with this. I’ve done Sue a chronic disservice and can only apologise. She should be compared to a Chateaunerf du pape! The finest of wines. My rental became unexpectedly available and one call to Sue, who answered even though it was her day off and within a week she had multiple viewings and offers. I’ve used her exceptional services 3 times now and in the past 5 years my property has been empty for about a total of 3 weeks. She is brilliant and I can’t recommend her enough. Thanks you

The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, showing great interest in helping me find the perfect place. They took the time to answer all my questions and made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a supportive and attentive lettings service!- 9th Apr 2025 (10 days ago)The team at William H Brown supported us with a very quick sale of our property as we were on super tight timelines. The process has been very efficient and, although we are still pending completion we are very confident our timelines will be met. In addition the team provided us with both mortgage and conveyancing services as well as mortgage insurance. The mortgage through William H Brown was better than the deal that we offered by the bank as it was aligned closer to our requirements. Thanking Charlotte, Ruby, Brad and Joe for their support and would highly recommend them for one stop shop for these services.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Matt and Dawn’s communication throughout the process start to finish was brilliant (Matt even gave us the heads-up about our house before it had come on to the market, and when it came back on due to the first sale falling through) and we couldn’t fault them at all. Because of their efforts, we were able to secure our dream home, and complete just before the stamp duty increase, saving us loads of money as a result! Thank you again to Matt and Dawn, we greatly appreciate it!
