Right from the beginning, we were impressed by the way in which Whitman & Co personnel go about their business. They are clearly highly experienced and know the local market well and their advice is clear and sound. At the same time, they did not try to put pressure on us with exhibitions of how brilliant and vigorous they would be on our behalf if only we were to sign up with them. On the contrary, James, for all his wisdom and expertise, engaged us in a relaxed, frank and amiable conversation, which told us all we wanted to know and, remarkably, made it clear that Whitman would act for us without our having to enter into a contract. Thereafter, all those we came across were friendly, responsive and very helpful. Denise, with whom we have been most engaged is terrific. Most of the time she was immediately available, but, if not, she got back to us very quickly. We were astonished by how many viewings she arranged, and delighted by how easy she made this for us. Her steering of us through the various procedures required as the sale progressed was brilliant, and we were constantly reassured by her good judgment, leading to our accepting not just the best offer, but the one least likely to be hampered by complications.
