Overall the experience was satisfactory after we changed our initial estate agent.
We had an independent RICS surveyor value the property prior to listing, and when we met with the Director for Fletchers, we agreed to place the property on the market for said value.
Our estate agent, Issam, asked us to reduce our asking price by 20% within 8 weeks of listing. This proposal was repeatedly asked despite strong objections from us. Our working relationship failed, and we were transferred to another estate agent within the firm - things went smoothly from this point on.

Absolutely appalling .. my flat was returned in an dreadful state and shown with faeces floating in the lavatory and rotting food in the kitchen. I was told it was in a good condition when the tenant left. Dishonest and exceptionally unpleasant to deal with . I trusted them to act professionally and had to bear the costs to get the apartment back to the condition it was handed to them as I was overseas dealing with a family emergency. And I lost 2 months rent .. and always a gaslighting reply . Poison !!!!

After going through hell for a year of trying to buy in 2023, and multiple different agencies and estate agents, I was so lucky to have Issam assigned to my purchase! Not only was he patient and clear with explaining everything to a first time buyer, but he was efficient, and always available for a call. Honestly, I was ready to give up, but he made everything so easy. I previously did not have the fondest opinion of estate agents after being lied to and tricked so much, but Issam restored my faith, was so professional and honestly, just a decent person trying to help everyone achieve a sale as smoothly as possible. I was only selling a property, not buying. It turned into a rather tortuous process due to a number of problems that arose. Throughout it the Fletchers team were very supportive, stayed on top of all the developments, and kept me informed. I found each of the personnel that I dealt with friendly and professional, and I would say they went beyond their duties to help me. I have some criticisms, which may have been more like bad luck, but I need to state. The first was that the solicitors that they recommended let me down, at least in the early months. Then, I was told that the end of the process was close to completion, when in the end it was another six months away. These are minor issues, but sadly they caused me unnecessary problems, so I can't give the four stars that they probably deserve. I chose Fletchers over some strong competition on Chiswick High Road. I am sure I made the right decision.

I had an excellent experience from beginning to end with the sale of my flat and can't recommend Fletchers high enough. Having had a very different experience in the past with an agent that was very keen until they were instructed, made me value their service even more so. I received an honest and realistic valuation, really quick turn around, a good amount of viewings which resulted in a good offer. The other side solicitor made the process pretty challenging but Issam went above and beyond to ensure the sale would go through according to agreed timelines. He proactively kept me up to date and stayed on top of solicitors and management company with a solution orientated mindset and can do attitude. Arranged a viewing with Issam. Was delayed because of traffic and called and emailed to let him know. No response. Sent a friend to meet him who arrived 15 mins after the agreed time but Issam was not there. He claimed that he emailed and called me but he hadn't. Then he lied again and said that he had waited for 45 minutes when he hadn't. Truly unprofessional behaviour. Won't be using this agency when I sell my property.

My overall experience with Fletchers was very positive, but it was James’ upbeat attitude, professionalism and dedication that is singled out for praise.
James demonstrated initiative, always owned his problems, and often went the extra mile owning other people’s problems, chasing the solicitors to ‘up their game’ and get them to ‘show urgency’, in order to move matters forward.
Fletchers is a very successful Estate Agency in the West London area. It is no surprise with James, a Director, as a benchmark for others to aspire to.

James Cox handled my flat sale from inception to completion. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to sell a flat or home. Throughout he has provided seasoned advice – from the pros and cons of investing in improvements before putting the flat on the market to pricing (pitched just right to encourage sealed bids) to the transfer of a shared freehold involving a complex and prolonged exchange of emails and documents between lawyers and the freeholder who was in China and struggling to understand what was required of her. He never threw a problem back at me, but dealt with all of the participants, calmly, and when required, firmly. And I will always be grateful that he kept my buyer informed and reassured when the transaction was in danger of dragging on, creating frustration on all sides. i have used Fletcher's some years ago and received good service. I therefore had no hesitation in asking them to come and value my house just after lockdown, with a view to getting it on the market quickly. James did just that, viewings by carefully selected buyers started within 2 days and I accepted a fair offer, on Fletcher's advice, within 4 days in total.

I just bought a flat through Fletchers and i just wanted to say a massive thanks to Karen and Stuart for being there for us, i know i have been a big pain calling everyday,but they have been extremely friendly and helpful every time i called and guided me step by step. First we agreed a price, then after i couldn't afford that price and I thought we lost the property, Karen and Stuart managed to get the price we could afford. Thanks again and hopefully i can be in position to do business again

I've been renting a flat managed by Fletcher's for last two years, and so far, they've been great! Whenever I've had any issues, I call Agata (who is the person responsible on the property management team) and it's been taken care of incredibly quickly, always without any hassle - she's fab! I highly recommend them!

Terrible service. They take responsibility for just nothing, I am not sure what exactly they do apart from taking your money. Trying to receive my deposit back for over a month and the only response is they tried to contact the landlord but are not getting a response. Completely unprofessional.

Stuart and the team at Fletchers have been exemplary. Having engaged a number of estate agents in Chiswick, I can honestly say that Fletchers provided us with a service far superior to any of the others. The sale of our property involved a difficult buyer and lots of complications, throughout which Stuart was attentive, fair and committed to getting a good outcome for both us and the buyer. He was never aggressive or pushy and always went above and beyond what I would expect. I could not recommend Fletchers highly enough for anyone looking for an honest and reliable agent to help sell their property.

Stuart and the team were really helpful, both on the buy and sell side of things. Albeit the process was long and painful, it wasn't the fault of the Fletchers team. Stuart was authentic, genuine and had great local knowledge, as well as a good working relationships with the other agents. He was also proactive in speaking either our solicitors to try and push things along. Lastly, even after the first couple of viewings / exchange, he was happy to accommodate additional viewings on the weekend, evening though they were extremely busy.

We had the pleasure of dealing with Stuart from Fletchers who provided us with a fantastic service, throughout the entire process of selling and buying.The service was very professional, friendly and honest. He kept in touch with us more than our own sales agent did and was always updating us with the progress, as well as taking over and helping in sorting out issues that we had with our property management agency. The whole team at Fletchers were friendly and amenable throughout the sales process of my house in Chiswick. I want to particularly thank Stuart MunGavin who was my 'agent'. He went beyond his role to give me advice regarding legal issues, my survey and even on my onward purchase. He was always measured and happy to offer solutions at every stage. He even came round to my house to fix a cupboard that was to be included in the sale. There was a genuine sense of cooperation, fairness and involvement always, almost as though I gained a new friend.

Rented a property from this agency. They charge you for preparing the contract as all estate agents do, but then when it comes to adhering to the contract they are oblivious. They rang me to start arrange viewings 3 months before my tenancy ended, when I pointed out the contract stated this was not until the final 2 months they quickly retreated.
When viewings did start, I suffered constant phone calls from them asking to carry out viewings with less than 24 hours notice, even though this is clearly stated in the bleeding contract. At one point they rang and also turned up at my property asking if they could do a viewing in 30 mins time.
After check out they were incredibly incompetent, it took well over the stated 10 days in the contract to get a decision on my deposit being returned, when they are looking to take money off you they'll be proactive but when they have to do work themselves they are hopeless. Would definitely NOT recommend to anyone looking to rent in Chiswick.

I rented a property through Fletcher Estates once, and found the whole experience to be very average. They were quick to take my deposit, but much less enthusiastic about rectifying any issues, and instead always referring me to the "owner".
Whenever I phoned, the staff had a nasty habit of screening calls for each other by always saying the person I wanted to speak to was "out" and asking instead to take a message - although they always magically appeared within seconds upon finding out I was phoning about a payment or something else they wanted from me.
Before the lease ended, I was sent a letter informing me of a rent increase of £20/week in order to stay in the property. I queried this with the owner, and he denied asking for any increase. Maybe he was lying, maybe Fletchers wouldn't have told him and would have just kept the difference.
I declined to renew, and when the lease was over they charged me for a check-out report (this had been agreed when the tenancy commenced), but they were sneaky by not specifying any price for the service. I suspect they made up a figure much higher than what it actually cost them.
Whilst there's nothing I can single out that was very wrong with Fletchers, I wouldn't use them again to lease or sell a property, nor would I recommend them to anyone.
