I moved out of a flat I was renting through Wright and Co over a month ago and they are holding my deposit hostage without any explanation.
There is now another tenant in the property and I still haven't had my deposit back or an indication as to when I will get it. This is a very disappointing experience as I paid my rent on time every month and left the flat in very good condition.
I try not to post negative reviews but after trying several times to talk directly to someone at wright and co about my deposit and getting fobbed off each time, I decided to voice my frustration here.
I wouldn't have been able to set foot in the property without first paying my deposit so I'm not sure why it's ok to keep it from me once I've left, all while renting the property to someone else.

I used Wright & Co to sell my flat and the service was provided by Chris Young, which was excellent. The communication was very good. Chris was attentive and professional throughout the process. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Service
We had the pleasure of recently moving home with Wright & Co Rentals based in Sawbridgeworth.
Moving home can be stressful enough, but due to the support given by Chris on the rentals team, things went so smoothly.
His attention to detail and knowledge around the finer points of renting were exceptional.
We would highly recommend Wright & Co for renting and buying, they add such a personal touch to the whole process and we even received a call from Chris to make sure we had settled in ok. ????
A visit to the offices in Sawbridgeworth is a pleasure too as they welcomed us and made us feel very comfortable.

Avoid Renting, Purchasing was fine.
We have both rented and bought a house through Wright & Co.
On the rentals side, staff are friendly but it was extremely difficult trying to get repairs or maintenance. Emails were ignored without a reply, and we had to chase things up repeatedly. This left us with problems left unaddressed for months.
They also failed to reign in or advise the unproffessional landlord of the Market House. He tried to demand excessive deposit deductions. This eventually went to the Tenancy Dispute scheme, which sided in our favour.
Purchasing was fine though, everyone was friendly and proffessional.

We purchased a house with Wright and Co with Stuart being our sales person. Truely amazing service and we cannot thank Stuart enough. He listened to what we wanted and was always available when required. He even messaged us on the day of his holiday to wish us a happy move!

Wright & Co. sales team could not have been more accommodating and pro-active when it came to dealing with my house purchase.
As a result, I was introduced to the Letting Team and I have been totally blown away with the service, attention to detail and overall competency of the staff, in particular, Chris. He has made me realise how terribly mismanaged my other properties are.
A pleasure to deal with, you will not be disappointed.

You're spoilt for choice for estate agents in and around Sawbridgeworth but you needn't look further than the team at Wright & Co.
From the purchase of my first house in 2016 to its subsequent sale and purchase of my new property this year Stuart, William and the guys were always open and transparent, realistic and extremely patient as the search went much longer that we'd anticipated. It was always an easy conversation, despite the somewhat stressful nature of the subject and they were professional throughout. Even on days off Stuart was very prompt at keeping the chain updated on movements and did as much as they could to help move the pen with solicitors.
I would have no hesitation in engaging them again should the need arise and can whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone else needing this sort of assistance.

I cannot thank the team at Wright & Co anymore than I possible can. The whole team have helped us push to get our dream home and when ever there were issues in the chain, they were sorted asap. When the lower chain issues occurred, Stuart was amazing! He was in contact every day, even on his days off, with the mortgage broker to get us an extension or chasing lower chain solicitors. Stuart is the most amazing agent and we truly are grateful for everything. And I write this sat in our new dream home!
