I'd previously dealt with Forsyth's in Haddington and decided to engage McDougall McQueen, when they took over that practice, to handle the conveyancing for the purchase and sale of two properties in Gullane and also the updating on our wills. The conveyancing expertise, guidance and advice given by Bobby Fife and Elizabeth MacNab played a key part in allowing us to successfully complete both the house purchase and sale transactions. We received a similarly excellent level of service and support from Bethany Rafferty in the handling of our wills. The process started very poorly. After contacting them in September about purchasing a new build, things were smooth initially and I was told on 24th October that my case would be passed to the conveyancing team and they’d be in touch within 7–14 days. Unfortunately, I didn’t hear anything for over a month. Multiple calls resulted in promises of callbacks that never came, which was very frustrating during such a stressful process. However, once the case was eventually picked up, the service improved significantly. Communication became much clearer and the team were helpful and responsive - Rhona in particular was absolutely fantastic, went a long way to patch up the terrible start, and is the reason I am amending this review....
