A very poor experience with Carol Simmonds at Davis & Sons.
My partner and I inquired and viewed a property with the intention of renting. Placed a holding deposit down and started referencing. They stated we required a guarantor who owns a home and earns £45k a year. We couldn't provide a guarantor so requested our holding deposit back.
This is where the problems started.
They began with saying we lied about our income, which we didn't. Then changed it to not providing accurate employment information, which we provided accurate info. Then finally after threatening to take it to a small claims court decided we lied about our credit history?
Now we must push this to a small claims court and report them to the financial ombudsman to try and claim our hard earned and hard saved money back.

An utterly devastating experience all around, as a young couple trying to put our trust in an estate agent this has left us feeling very betrayed and taken advantage of.

Our experience with Davis & sons, caldicot has been excellent. We have used their services over the past 10 or more years and never been disappointed or let down. The girls in the office are professsional in dealing with any queries, and are a pleasure to deal with;

We bought our new home through Davis & Sons and had a really positive experience. Louise was super helpful from start to finish — always quick to respond, happy to answer any questions, and keeping us updated as things moved along.
She made the whole purchase feel a lot less stressful and was great at keeping everything on track. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

Huge shout out to Marisa and Louise at Davis & Sons, Caldicot! Incredibly professional and kind, we felt so well supported when we started house hunting! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to buy in the area.
