No communication. I needed to ring to get any updates one viewing in 6 months. Shop only open till lunchtime on a Saturday. Went 3 times to speak with them, on a Saturday and the shop was closed. Before lunchtime reduced price one week later went into the shop to tell them that the property was still full price in their window. paid nearly £900. For pictures and one media post on rightmove. So not good value for money.which I cant get anything back I needed to ask for my contract which they emailed to me after six months,to find out that no money would be given back not told this when I signed. Property does not sell its self need a good agent to push your property and tell you full details before you sign agreement.

From the moment my property went on the market I never heard from Dowen again other than to tell me if I had a viewing. I might aswell have put the house up for sale myself. £1200 for what? Putting it on Rightmove? Photos were terrible, he said he would come back when it was sunny to take some more. Never heard from him... Appalling customer service, no call backs just nothing, no personal touch at all.
Would never use again, there are plenty of better local estate agents out there who would take much better care of you for a lot less money.

We chose Dowen in April 2023 after they gave a middle valuation compared with two other agents.
MD John Nicholson did the valuation. He was sincere, enthusiastic and realistic.
He gave us good advice on photography and marketing of (mum's) house.
Service was quick: the house was on the market within a very few days and we accepted an offer within two weeks.
Special thanks to Georgina in the Sunderland office.
She kept us informed about how the sale was progressing and she was our point of contact with the vendors' solicitor.
She also gave us advice on necessary actions after the survey was done.
She was easy to contact (phone or email) and very happy to help. Thank you !!

Rented same flat 18yr never missed rent once am 77 yrs old given section 21 and left without hot water 10 weeks is this how you treat good tenant's

Signed for a no fee deal including legal fees. Paid £200 up front. The buyer of my property dragged on for months resulting in me losing my house purchase. Dowena then refused to pay the legal fees despite the agreement costing me over £400 in fees for nothing. Very immoral company.

Complete satisfaction with every aspect of the service provided, valuation, initial contact (Sarah) , office function (David), fee structure, brochure, photos inc overhead, feedback all excellent. Highly recommended, best we have ever used in 50yrs. Anyone selling their home must get a quote.
