We bought a property through Galloways and I has been an experience full of pressure.
First of all, they sent someone to the property who does not know a single thing about the property. It seems she had to cover for his colleague, I don't blame her, but from the company side does not look great.
During the offer process I could see how they were trying to milks us as much money as possible, they were describing it as "I tried to convince the owners", "I put a good word for you", BUT "we have more viewings", "you will loose the property etc... Clearly they did not put a good word because as soon as we did not want to give more money, they accepted in a matter of hours. They were just scheming how to take all the money the could.
During the purchase process, they were calling ALL the time complaining about my solicitors, I felt forced to get involved when it was contrary to what my solicitors said. It is supposed to be a process managed between solicitors, but they had to even threat us with losing the property because our solicitor was not happy with their replies.
Now at our property, we have seen there might be a mould issue and suddenly a hole in the floor. Our surveyor did not spot this, however, if this agency knew, they did not say anything.
After speaking with several people (we are first time buyers) this is what all the state agents do, I guess we could consider they did what they were supposed to do.

I have been looking to rent a flat in South East London. I registered with Galloways because I knew they were a local independent agent with good knowledge of the area. Aston arranged a viewing on a flat in Penge. He let me take my time to walk around the flat and take photos. He was also very patient in answering my many questions. Penge is not an area I know well, so Aston thoughtfully suggested if I wanted to get a coffee there is a cafe and garden centre in the area, he showed me on the map and even walked me in that direction. This was such a thoughtful and helpful thing to do, and helped me to get more familiar with what is available in the area. Very different to some agents who seem to be in a rush to get to their next appointment and dont have time to answer all my questions. I have already recommended Galloways to a friend who might be looking to sell her house and buy something else in the area.

Superb.
We were let down by another agent and came to Galloways to see if they could sell our property quickly. They went above and beyond and managed to secure a seller for more than originally asked.
If you’re selling in Penge, it’s a no brainer to go with Ryan, Steve and their team. ????

Great experience with Galloways & Excellent service from Aston Laing. Prior to meeting Aston we had been on several viewings to find our new family home but did not receive the service we expected. Aston was very professional when dealing with us and made sure that we had all the resources needed to make an informed decision. We are grateful for the this experience. Thank you!
