I had a disappointing experience with Keatons Stratford.<br><br>Throughout the tenancy, the agents were largely hands-off and difficult to get hold of when issues arose. The biggest problems came at the end of the tenancy when it was time to return our keys and recover our deposit.<br><br>They initially withheld part of our deposit and attempted to charge us for blinds that had been damaged before our tenancy even began (which was clearly documented). We were also charged £20 to replace a single light bulb, which felt excessive, as well as a cleaning fee that had never been clearly explained or communicated upfront at the start of the tenancy.<br><br>When we challenged these charges and tried to discuss the matter, the response became increasingly hostile and unhelpful rather than constructive. Although we eventually managed to resolve the situation, the process was far more difficult and stressful than it needed to be.<br><br>Overall, there appeared to be a lack of transparency around costs, with charges arising at the end of the tenancy that had not been properly disclosed from the outset. Combined with the difficulty of getting through to the office by phone and the poor handling of our concerns, it left a very negative impression.<br><br>I would encourage anyone considering renting through Keatons Stratford to carefully review all fees and documentation and to keep detailed records throughout their tenancy....
