13th Oct 2017 (7 years ago)Our flat was on the market for 9 months, our experience was up and down with selling with castlehead. I feel like we could have been listened more, issues would have been resovled sooner. Job done in end, house sold in the end????
3rd Nov 2023 (1 year ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.

However the process of having many stakeholders in the mix, like conveyances, their solicitors, legal vendors etc made the process very laborious. There ought to be a system where the potential buyer and seller can speak to each other from day one after price has been settled. There seems to be a strong resistance for this to happen presently - not good. JCC

21st May 2025 (22 days ago)I had to move at very short notice and Belvoir staff have been very helpful throughout the leasing process, especially Lisa, who helped me when we ran into any bumps along the way. £250 deposit to reserve a property is also quite reasonable, considering some of the other letting agents in the city ask for the full month's or more. I'd recommend them highly! So far, so good!
