16th Jul 2019 (4 years ago)They informed us about a change in our move-in date less than 12 hours before the original date of the move. The new date was pushed by two weeks. Therefore, as we had already switched all utilities to the new apartment, we had to survive without utilities in the old apartment for two weeks. Moreover, the estate agent we were in contact with was behaving in a very unprofessional and disrespectful way on the phone as we called him to explain the issues. He was shouting at us on the phone and blamed the situation on us, the clients. Furthermore, the agent did not inform us about other issues we faced regarding the move and when asked about it, he claimed to have been in contact with us regarding the problems, which was not true.
6th Apr 2024 (6 weeks ago)The team at Toomey looked after one of my properties (rental) and helped with the sale of the same property after a few years. It means I got to work with Laura (and Kim) on the rental side and with Frank during the sales process. Suffice to say the entire team are consummate professionals who provide a very unique and custom service all round. Having moved the property from a larger franchise estate agent, the service provided by the team at Toomey was by far better and value for money. Laura and Kim oft go over and beyond what they're supposed to do and on numerous occasions helped solve some pretty tricky issues. The sales process was equally professional and friendly with Frank demonstrating good knowledge of the housing market in the area & an uncanny ability to match buyers and sellers effectively. His commitment to both buyer and seller is unparalleled and he remained engaged throughout a very tricky sale. It's a bitter sweet moment that our contractual relationship with this team has come to an end. I unreservedly recommend the team at Toomey and wish them all the best for the future.
23rd Jun 2022 (1 year ago)KFH is a very efficient, proactive and pleasant team to work with. They did a great job organising viewings and finding a buyer. They then did a great job managing the sale process.
24th Feb 2024 (12 weeks ago)I was disappointed with outcome and received no second viewings or even an offer on my property. I decided to withdraw my house with that particular estate agent.
24th Feb 2024 (12 weeks ago)Sadly we put our mothers house up for sale some time after her passing, all of the staff at Hawke and Metcalf were amazing especially Greg Metcalfe, they were always so helpful and caring giving us advice and informing us on matters more than the solicitors were. We were amazed when the property had an offer after only being on the market for three weeks i'm sure this was down partly to the wonderful team at Hawke & Metcalfe i would highly recommend them

9th Apr 2024 (6 weeks ago)I walked into his office today and he yelled at me what are you doing here? I replied this is a shop. I don’t want people in my shop he continues to be aggressive towards me I said ok and turn around to walk out. By the time I got to the door he yelled at me what do I want and I replied nothing from you. Then he said good and locked the door when I left and this had to be the most bizarre thing I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t recommend this guy to anyone unless you want to be yelled at…..

I had to chase mostly for feed back on viewings and I never felt that communication was as it was promised in the beginning. It’s a difficult market so it’s hard to say what and how the flat would have sold price wise and time wise in a better market overall I would say average

They were extremely professional and helpful throughout the transaction and we purchased our new home from them too. We would thoroughly recommend their services to anyone needing an estate agent in the Worthing area. Thank you for all your help, Ian & Richard.

Ben's local knowledge and experience have been key to getting the sale to completion.He was able to recommend an excellent solicitor to handle the extension of the lease on the property which had to be completed at the same time as the sale. Excellent.
