FANTASTIC service from Peter and Alan for helping my mum when selling her home. Always in contact and extremely helpful. I was especially pleased because they helped my elderly mother remain at ease and calm throughout the whole process. Highly recommend, and will definitely use in the future. Many thanks Lee

I've used this title as that is exactly what I am - undecided. I have rented before, but not with this agency, and I've not come across this dilema certainly whilst renting someone elses property. Long story short - major work needs doing to the property which necessitates my entire family moving out - for between 7 to 14 days, as the "guesstamite" goes. But at who's expense? Having waited over a year for the work to be done, is it now reasonable for me to be expected to take my family on holiday to coincide with the work? Maybe, if the dates work. But if it means my children missing school time? But I digress a bit. The point is, as a Letting Agency, whose side are they on. Should they not know the legal standpoint of this issue, let alone the moral one? For one, I cannot believe that they don't - yet I have been waiting over a year for advice on this issue (advice from them, bearing in mind the rent is paid to them - not direct to the landlord) The cynic in me tells me that effectively I pay them nothing - the monies they make come from the landlord, so best keep him happy. Maybe that's unfair, but hey life is isn't it? Put it this way - any properties I own myself will not be let by this agency. If I pay for a service, I expect to receive it - and in a timely fashion!
