8th Mar 2025 (6 weeks ago)Daniel McAlister at the Bairstow Eves Edmonton branch was superb. We spoke to four different estate agents and decided to go with Daniel because he was very down to earth and understood exactly what we were going for, he was the only one we spoke to who we felt wasn't too pushy but was taking on board what we were saying. He also got the price spot on, which was a high price, the highest in the street at data of sale (£380k). Other estate agents were quoting far too low (£350k), or unachievably high (£410k). In addition to both of those points, he also managed a huge amount of viewings on single days, up to eight people on one day, with precision. So for us, he excelled in all three areas that we were looking for: he came across as a good, genuine person, he got the price exactly right, and he managed a huge amount of viewings with efficiency and with no issues whatsoever, whilst communicating all the time. Then, post accepting an offer, he was always easy to get on the phone, and everything was communicated perfectly during that lengthy process. I can't recommend Daniel at Bairstow Eves Edmonton enough. It was excellent from start to finish. Top notch work.

Lucy in particular was proactive in approaching me and marketing the house. She was considerate, honest and communicative and clearly did an excellent job in showing the house to the buyers. WellingtonWise have an impressive knowledge of the local housing market. Their drone photographs of my house helped greatly in showcasing the location and views surrounding the property. Highly recommended.

They helped get viewings booked in fast and we sold in under two weeks. Once sold they always responded promptly and helpfully with our inquiries about the chain and passing messages between us and the buyers.

They were also able to help negotiate the price of our onward purchase with a neighbouring estate agent. In all very happy. Fantastic communication and always a pleasure to speak to. Special shout out to James who dealt with the majority of back and forth. 5/5 would recommend.

3rd Apr 2025 (16 days ago)Initial engagement was strong - well prepared for the valuation having produced data on similar property sales to give me a steer on what price range to expect. The quality of the photographs was disappointing - no use of drone technology and the absence of video or virtual tour videos did not help with viewing numbers. I would expect a professional photographer to be taking the photographs in hindsight. Communication was very good once engaged - bi-weekly calls to update on progress. Regular amendments were made to the picture sets and social media advertising was used too. The market was difficult when trying to sell our property but I felt as if local area knowledge was limited to our primary contact and that viewings that did not involve the primary contact were less engaging for those viewing. Our primary contact was very good and did a good job.

12th Apr 2025 (7 days ago)I have had an extremely disappointing experience with Stonegates and would not recommend their services. Their communication was poor, with emails and calls frequently going unanswered. When I did manage to get in touch, responses were vague, unhelpful, and often contradicted previous information. This lack of clarity made the entire rental process unnecessarily stressful. When it came time to move out, the handling of my deposit was equally disappointing and any attempt to negotiate with them was met with slow, dismissive responses. The lack of professionalism in this area was particularly concerning. Overall, my experience with Stonegates has been one of poor communication, disregard for tenants, and a lack of accountability. I strongly advise others to be cautious before using their services.

Their professionalism, service, attentiveness, responsiveness and attention to detail is more than I ever thought I'd get from them as letting agents. They put in effort with viewings and found a great tenant for my house. I'd advise any landlord going with them. There is a reason why they have the best Google reviews of any lettings agent in Stevenage!
