Strutt and Parker provided an excellent service in our recent purchase. They were honest when issues arose, and found solutions thanks to their positive, cooperative attitude and extensive knowledge. They could not have been more responsive and have been a pleasure to deal with.

I had an aberration;
I trusted Strutt and Parker and placed reliance on them to get their house selling details correct when I bought my home from them. Well, they are a high end Mayfair based agency; you could expect some sort of service that was more than comparable at least to other estate agents. But not only were the details incorrect but they compounded the situation by blaming everyone else and referring to their mistakes as my "continued dissatisfaction". They compounded this further by leaving out detail to the ombudsman making a mockery of that system. I ended up taking Strutt and Parker and their luxury developer vendor Stone Homes to court for negligent mis statement under duty of care; and negligent mis description under contract.
Although my losses were far greater I could only afford small claims court. Court is a daunting place; nobody goes there to experience the atmosphere, they go because they are aggrieved. Whilst I and the developer and his wife were representing ourselves as litigants in person, (LiP) Strutt and Parker had a QC advocate as they are obliged to do.
It may be common practice to vent all manner of tactics to an adversary, but to an older woman, as a consumer, who just wanted a habitable home?
The courage needed is unimaginable especially when you learn "Lord Malmsbury vs Strutt and Parker" for £100,000,000.00; in approximate summary the Judge aghast awarded £26 million to Lord Malmsbury, whereupon they both claimed a win.
I won my small action outright against this national company where their lack of acknowledgement or apology shows contempt for their house buying public.
To post I'm obliged to give one star.
Retties have been excellent. We sold our house with a month of it going on the market. The service they provide is professional and friendly. In particular I would like to mention our negotiator Susan. She made the whole transaction completely painless . She was cheerful, positive and very efficient. What could have been stressful wasn't thanks to her. Many thanks .
I have been dealing with the Rettie Berwick office during my recent property search. The service I have received has been excellent and has far exceeded any other agent in the area. I would have no hesitations in recommending them to friends and family.

When we decided to sell our house, we contacted a few estate agents, but were really impressed with the straightforward, friendly and professional approach from Rettie. They did a fantastic job of marketing our house (including fab photos) and both sold our home and found us a new one in record time. They are incredibly helpful, always available when you need them and steered us through to completion without a hitch. If we move again, we’ll definitely use Rettie and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others thinking of moving house.
Friendly efficient service, not the usual "pushy" estate agent style, they treat you as an individual, not a target!
