Professional agency with very high standards for letting. The staff where nice and friendly I just think a little more info would of been better
This business owes me £320 for work I completed in February at a property. They stated that they wasn't happy with the work. I was puzzled why as l have before and after photos proving the work had been done. I offers to complete the areas she was not happy with but was unable to perform miracles on old badly stained carpets.
However, despite previous reminders they are refusing to acknowledge me and are just looking for excuses not to pay. It is an absolutely disgusting way to treat a small local trader. This has caused devastation to the business.
Moreover, they are also in contravention of the Data Protection Act 1998 as they gave my details to Advertising scammers. The scammers interviewed me on the premises of Bronte and told me they were in partnership to advertise my business on the the sale packs of Bronte brochures and also on an interactive board.
I agreed to sign up on this basis only to find the board was constantly freezing and there was no brochure pack. It was all a lie and therefore, I am a further £350 out of pocket.
This is a disgusting way to treat a local trader and cause them financial hardship. If you are thinking of selling or renting your home, then think of how they have treated a small trader like me.
I have given one star because there in no option of a zero.
NOTE...In response to Bronte reply that I refused to go back in, I confirm this simply in not true. I was awaiting their instruction as there was a delay with a builder going in. They were to contact me but didn't. To date they have provided zero evidence that the landlord was unhappy. I have gave Bronte a pre cleaning assessment of the state of the carpets and also a review of the results at the end with the invoice.
David, Alison & Sarah were brilliant throughout the whole process. Long process due to sellers solicitors but Hunters were professional through out. Really flexible which met with my needs with work etc.
Avoid like the plague. Lied on their sales particulars and were rude and unresponsive throughout our purchase. We made a formal complaint which they refused to accept. We then took the matter to the property ombudsman who found against them and awarded compensation because of their behavior. This all took nearly a year to sort out and even after being found guilty they failed to pay the money in the time frame they specified. Only consider using them if you have lots of spare time and enjoying writing complaints.
The move did not go 100% correct due to a problem outside of our control but they helped up through it and fought our corner well.
Very slow in dealing with any of your requests / enquires in the sale/purchase of your property, with somethings completely ignored, yet a constant pain when wanting something from you there are always phoning up.. should have gone to a more professional agent.
