I found this a difficult review to produce as I had 2 very different experiences whilst trying to sell my property. I have decided to rate on the basis of the later experience.
My initial experience was not very positive. I had a viewing that was to be conducted by an agent who had not visited the property, so we arranged for her to come round 20-30 mins early for me to give her a tour. She actually arrived 15 mins late for the actual viewing (which I obviously had to conduct - it was fortunate that I was there). On another occasion I had a phone call at work to tell me that some people had arrived for a viewing (having travelled some distance). I had not been informed of the viewing and there was no agent there to meet them.
I was about to give notice when Christian asked to meet me for an update meeting. Christian (who had been no problem) was not aware of the issues, but informed me that there was a new manager about to start and, while offering to cancel our contract immediately, asked that I met Gareth before making a decision. I agreed to do this, and am pleased that I did so. I was impressed with what Gareth had to say, so agreed to give them a chance. Gareth brought a new negotiator, Paul, with him to the Blandford office, and it was Paul that I dealt with from this point on. We soon had a fair bit of interest and viewings, followed by an asking price offer.
I would now be happy to recommend the Humberts Blandford office.
Paul in the Blandford office helped us with our purchase. The team always responded to us quickly and managed to make some complicated negotiations feel quite straightforward thanks to a good sense of humour!
This review is about my experience of selling my Mother's house in Hilton through the Blandford Office. It turned out to be a very tricky property to sell, but from the start we were impressed by the friendly and professional manner of the staff. Alex was our main point of contact and he was excellent in dealing with my very elderly mother with tact and compassion. After my mother had moved out Alex kept my brother and I informed of all viewings and became very familiar with the rather quirky property we had to sell. I also spoke frequently to Jo, Julie and Meredith and all staff were helpful and accessible. I would definitely recommend this company to anybody selling or buying in the area and was completely satisfied with the service given. I felt I knew Alex pretty well by the end and would commend his people skills .
The worst experience that I have ever had, they had the appraisal date incorrect by 100 years, and weren't flexible enough to come up with any other options. I am surprised in these austere times that when someone is offering you their £500,000 house to sell you are unwilling to do anything about it, after admitting it was their fault in the first place. My suggestion is to avoid and use one of the more reputable agents in the town.
I would like to thank Charlie for all her help in helping us buy our home
It can be very stressful but with you guiding us through the whole process it was stress free,
I would also like to thank Teresa for all the help in getting our mortgage I would recommend you to all my friends and family you were all very professional many thanks Kevin, Flo
An absolute shambles of an excuse of Estate Agents.
New laws need to be passed making this so called profession actually Professional.
No customer care whatsoever and a completely blasé attitude towards any sort of complaint.
