JACK JACK JACK! SOLD my property during the begging of the pandemic, nearly a year ago- ive said id write this review sooner, but I haven't!! This was our first house and had never sold before, from the initial phone call to arrange the appointment the service was great.. From start to finish the service provided by Jack & his colleagues was fantastic- he was on hand through all hours of the day, replying to WhatsApp. He also knew exactly how to get the solicitors to respond promptly- Great service from the branch. Moving onto the in house solicitors recommenced on the first appointment, Countrywide Conveyancing, Damon was also brilliant- Thank you for selling our home and making it so EASY. If we need to sell again we would not hesitate to contact you guys. Thank you Jack and the team at Cannock!

Particular thank you to Emma, a very professional, knowledgeable estate agent who helped me get my purchase over the line. I'd be more than happy to use Bairstow again.

I have no hesitation in recommending Helen and the team at Connells. They were superb from start to finish in the sale of my parents house. Extremely professional, helpful and always very polite. Nothing was ever too much. This is the second time I have used Connells and given both of my experiences they will definitely be my go-to estate agents in the future. Their recommended solicitors PPL are also top notch and I highly recommend them as well - just an all round perfect team!

Looked at selling my house with them but found out the fees were very expensive so they said not to worry we will add 5k on the house to pay for our fees. Manger turned up to took photos on his mobile but one room he couldn't get a decent photo they uploaded ones that was used by another agent. I never got any feed back after viewings always felt like i was chasing them couldnt wait to get out of contract with them such a waste of time.
When i went with another agent who i may add sold my house i 1 day i came across a house that i wanted to buy via connells once again the customer Service was awfull.
I put offeres in on the house and was told someone would get back to me at least 4 times a called and still no phone call back the lack of customer respect is terrible this is someones life choices they are dealing with i think they are the worst estate agent ever

Not the best experience and communication was poor. We’re still waiting for a statement from both DB Roberts and their Legal Partners 8 weeks after completion after asking numerous times.
More worryingly their Legal company kept my fathers money for 14 days after completion and needed to be badgered to get the funds transferred.
Completely un-professional and verging on incompetence at best or sharp practice at worst, based on the fact they would have been sitting on cleared funds on the day of completion.
I wouldn’t use either again. Not recommended.

I recently decided to purchase a sandwich bar and started looking Monday Morning. I saw the perfect property and called Ernest Wilson, I viewed the property on Tuesday morning and everything had been completed by Saturday morning. Within a week I had the keys, signed the paperwork and was all ready to go !!! I honestly cannot recommend this company enough!! Chére, Jonathan and Stacey were all brilliant! So helpful, friendly and professional from start to finish. When and if I decide to sell I will 100% use Ernest Wilson and I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anybody looking to buy or selling a business. Thanks Chére you are the best !!

I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
DO NOT EVER SIGN ANY CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY WILL NEVER SELL YOUR BUSINESS AND WILL MAKE YOU PAY COMMISSION IN THE END.
WHEN THEY FIRST VISIT YOU THEY WILL SAY DIFFERENT THINGS, HOWEVER WRITTEN CONTRACT IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.
NOT WORTH AT ALL ADVERTISING BUSINESS WITH ERNEST WILSON. ABSOLUTELY CRAP AND WILL CHARGE YOU THOUSANDS OF POUNDS FOR DOING NOTHING.

Under no circumstances sell your business with Hilton Smythe. We made the unfortunate decision to sign a six month contract with them back in February this year to sell our shop. A valuer visited us and told us that if we paid so much upfront, they'd be no more fee's to pay and if the shop wasn't sold within six months we could simply pull it off the market or go with someone else. It was originally marketed and valued at £50,000.
Initially we had a lot of interest and a sale looked likely. Then lockdown happened three weeks into the shop being advertised and all went quiet until late July, early August. Barely anything from Hilton Smythe. This we had expected due to the circumstances. In the meantime, the shop has been open and trading extremely well. Then come early August, we start being messed around by the agent. Suddenly and without any warning another agent has taken over and is arranging viewings with people who are not properly vetted. We're let down at the last minute by people who don't show up. We then reduce the price of our business in an effort to sell quicker, even then the agents kept calling with offer's well below the new asking price and when we turned them all down, we were made to feel like we're the ones being unreasonable and as though we should just accept any offer.
Low and behold, we have decided to take our business off the market. Our contract ran out on August 2nd, therefore we are now out of contract. But... Hilton Smythe have stated that we have to give them six weeks notice for them to take our business off the market and in this time, we must accept viewings else we are liable for a fee of almost £3,000! We only received an actual copy of our contract, the day we gave Hilton Smythe our notice, which was two days ago. Yesterday, emails were flying back and forth between Myself and the agency over yet another no show.
Hilton Smythe have become bullies and will stoop to any depths. They're not on the sellers side, the very people paying them and they will send anyone, unvetted, to waste your time on the promise of a sale. No matter how hard you try to get out of it, they will use 'the contract' against you. Do expect a level of stress that will drive you to the brink of a nervous breakdown and if you have a decent business, expect it to be adversely affected by bogus buyers phoning them and then you being forced into showing such people around! I urge anyone thinking of selling a business, go elsewhere. I wish I had seen some of these reviews back in February.
