The service here at Connells is so refreshing as the estate agents do work on behalf of an owner and potential buyers, which is something I have rarely experienced from other estate agents.
I have been dealing with Helen directly for my property search and I can honestly say she is one of the best at what she does. The professionalism and commitment to our house search has been outstanding and is someone that deserves credit for all the help she has provided.

Update on 15.02.2024.
I can understand how and why the branch behaviour has changed . I really had a good communication in MA, but after this date everything is upside down.
A remortgage started in November is still nowhere with 2 week before due date.
Lots of emails sent and phones but no replay. Sent also to the branch manager still no replay.
Paid 600£ as a fee for nothing. They do not worth a penny.
One of the good experience became a nightmare.
Stay away. As long as they have something to win they will replay to you.

A month after having someone round for a valuation from the Cannock office - we have had nothing in writing. Two local estate agents who came the following day emailed us back within hours and the valuations from both were much more professional and thorough.
We have chased Connells via their website and phoned the local office and have heard nothing - no one seems to have any customer service skills.
If they can’t get the basics right - I certainly wouldn’t trust them to sell my house.

Incompetent, unprofessional lettings staff.
Do not call you back when they say they will. I had to make SIX follow up phone calls to them after they promised and failed to call me or return my phone calls. Gave me the run around for 3 weeks, constantly contradicting themselves in the next sentence, lie constantly, unable to explain the lettings and application process correctly even though it is the basics of their job. Lied about having put forward my application to the landlord and backtracked when I said that I haven't even made an application. Extremely unprofessional, disappointing conduct.

Having used Connells to let my property previously, I had no hesitation in asking them to undertake the same task again. Hannah was a consummate professional and handled the letting process in a calm, supportive and efficient manner with despite some very testing circumstances arising from a previous tenancy. From the first day, Hannah was pro-active in selecting prospective tenants and, within the space of only a few days, there were a number of viewings. A successful let was agreed within a relatively short space of time. I would highly recommend Connells and will definitely use them again in the future should the need arise.

I wouldn’t even give 1 star to this rogue agent! Do not use this agent to sell your house through! They will not aim to get the vendor the most money, only in the interest of Connells getting the most money!!!
The way they acted towards us when we offered on a property which the vendor accepted to us verbally, to then persuade the vendor to choose another buyer in a “better position” instead of acting in the vendors best interest and wishes has been appalling. The buyer which Connells clearly pushed the vendor into choosing, instead of allowing the vendor to make an informed decision, was based on the fact the buyer was using all of Connells services ie MA, conveyancing etc. whereas we had everything in place ourselves and were ready to go. Connells have pushed a FTB ahead of us because they were using their services, even though we were offering £5k more on the house (which transpires is £3k more than the current purchase price) I would never ever use this agent to buy or sell through. They act completely in their own interests and have no consideration for anyone other than themselves to earn money! They are the worst agent I have dealt with and would recommend anyone to stay clear of them!!

I don't even know where to begin. Over the last 2 years they have given me horrendous advice that resulted in me paying out a large sum of money which could easily have been avoided, regularly I have received rental payments late that I have chased up instead of them and then the contractor I instructed them to find to help solve a leak only went and created further damage in my property and then I got charged for this! When I raised the issue connells claimed the job was done and would not be refunding me. Think twice before using this estate agents. I've had nothing but problems with them and they do not care about their customers as long as money is going in to their pockets.

I first rang Connells to enquire about a property they had up for sale and spoke to Keiron who was really nice and helpful, I explained we were having a few issues with our mortgage but really loved the property. He suggested we speak to Danielle (in house mortgage broker) and booked us an appointment. Danielle was lovely and made both me and my partner feel very at ease discussing our options. All weekend been getting my place looking pristine then Monday came appointment booked in 3.30 but Laura rang me earlier saying no point coming to view it as we have come out before . I said well kitchen is different now how much is my property worth? Em well havent got paparwork files to check . She then asked are u planning to put it on the market? Yes Laura but I said forget it totally chessed off with her attitude . Must have been promoted to top dog as attitude and voice was dreadful. I said I'll pick another estate agents disgusting way to talk to a customer . Dont bother with them and there expensive too .
Think Laura needs to book herself into an awareness program on how to deal with the general public.

The thing I didn't appreciate was the property being left in a state by previous tenants and when complaining of this being told by the property management "everyone has a different standard of clean".
If I was renting with them I'd advise you ask what standard of clean they think is acceptable because what I moved into was disgusting.

After having a bad experience with other estates in the local area, I am pleased to say that Connells are the real deal. I listened to a lot of nonsense from these other agents but Connells are the only agent that actually did what they said they would do.
Yes the fee was slightly more than the other agents, however, Connells were committed and achieved a much higher sale price for my property than any other agents attempted to. Pleased don’t be fooled by other agents sale tactics and remember to pick an agent that will aim to get the best price for selling your property.

Disappointing from the very beginning. Promises they made and fulfilled none. Put an offer on a property which l had to chase up to see outcome and then once offer accepted and to the moment we picked up keys it was torture. Continuous phone calls and chasing up progress and answers. The sellers used the Conveyancing lawyers recommended by Connells-Premier Property Lawyers another disgusting service. Due to the Conveyancing solicitors responded to an enquiry over four weeks later regardless of the continuous communication from my solicitors we had to break chain, moved in to a family members home with four children and completed 6 weeks later-this had put huge pressure on us and our families. Would not recommend Connells or there Conveyancing solicitors to anyone. Not worth the headache. Please think very carefully before using either Connells or Premier Property Lawyers.

Very happy with the Connells team in Cannock and will continue to use them when letting my property in the future. The only shortfall on this occasion was payments received between tenants moving out and in, having to chase deposit money and instructing works to be carried out. Non the less Callum has been amazing as always and answered any of my questions in a matter of hours. Issues will always arise, it's how you deal with them that's worthy of 5 stars. From the first day, they were pro-active in selecting prospective tenants and, within the space of only a few days, the number of viewings more than doubled the number undertaken by another agent whom we had engaged some three months previously. Could not thank Jessica and Callum at the Cannock branch enough for being so helpful and patient with us. Decided to use Connells after we saw a property for sale with them. Ryan was helpful with helping with paperwork and trying to help us find our dream house.
Paige was fabulous from start to finish. When our first sale fell through she got more viewings arranged within a few days. Always excellent communication and customer service, keeping us updated throughout the whole system. Would definitely recommend.

Extremely pushy Salesman. I called them to book a viewing and instead of that being sorted the Agent was ‘interviewing’ me about my own property, trying to get the business of advertising my own property even though I already had an agent and was happy with the service.
Following that they kept calling me trying still to convince me to go with them.

I recently purchased my first house through Connells. Paige couldn't do enough to support and guide me through, from providing multiple visits to the property to keeping me up to date on the current status of the property.
Even if Paige wasn't available, the rest of the team were always happy to help.
I also used the services of Ed Walker (Mortgage Consultant) who was also fantastic in explaining everything to me. This was obviously my first property and having Ed's guidance through this whole completion was extremely reassuring.

Connells Cannock sold our property in good time, but lack of communication did mean that mistakes happened such as no agent doing the viewings when this had specifically been asked - out of 10 viewings connells did 1
We also paid for their marketing pack which included shinny brochures which we never received and door to door canvassing which didn’t happen

Looked at selling my house with them but found out the fees were very expensive so they said not to worry we will add 5k on the house to pay for our fees. Manger turned up to took photos on his mobile but one room he couldn't get a decent photo they uploaded ones that was used by another agent. I never got any feed back after viewings always felt like i was chasing them couldnt wait to get out of contract with them such a waste of time.
When i went with another agent who i may add sold my house i 1 day i came across a house that i wanted to buy via connells once again the customer Service was awfull.
I put offeres in on the house and was told someone would get back to me at least 4 times a called and still no phone call back the lack of customer respect is terrible this is someones life choices they are dealing with i think they are the worst estate agent ever
