Very impressed with the professionalism and advice received from the lettings department in the rental of a our property, especially for Mrs Lynda Hays. Initial meeting with Lynda on a Saturday afternoon, later that day house was on the website, Monday prospective tenants viewed and moved in just over three weeks from Initial viewing. Throughly recommend this estate agent.
Great customer service. Due to someone being off sick it has taken over a month to get my deposit and rent back. I'm still waiting.
I had 3 quotes from estate agents and Pocock & Shaw were in the middle which I felt was reasonable. They were already handling the house I wanted to buy so decided to instruct them to sell mine too... Magnus gave simple recommendations for what would increase chances of a sale and was upfront about all costs. It took nearly 7 months from sale to completion but I must stress that none of that was the fault of Pocock & Shaw - I would go as far as to say that without their continued effort, the chain would have certainly failed. I did not feel at any point that they had lost interest in my sale/purchase or me as a customer as the time dragged on and can honestly say they did more than they were contracted throughout the process. This ranged from speaking to solicitors, estate agents and the clients across the whole chain to try and get the correct information and where possible - push things along (things the solicitors should have been doing but were not). As another reviewer mentioned - Magnus was not always directly contactable, however the benefit of him being part of a team - there was always someone to take the call in the office and pass on a message. I would even get the odd reply in an evening while Magnus was doing the weekly shop because he had not managed to reply during the day but knew I was expecting a call.
They really earned their money at the end when tensions were high and Solicitors were not proactively trying to do the exchange within the chain. It Was Magnus and Greg calling the solicitors and clients to co-ordinate and keep me updated on where the issues were. Even after the sale/purchase - Magnus has contacted me on 3 separate occasions as a courtesy call to make sure all is OK and that there was nothing further I needed help with.
I hope I don't need to move for a very long time - but if I ever find myself in that position again - Pocock & Shaw will definitely be my first port of call and I would recommend their services to anyone looking for a good estate agent that is focused on your needs and not just the financial gain from another sale.
Estate Agents living in the dark ages! Extremely rude staff giving bad advice. Not acting in their clients best interest. Have no idea about online marketing in 2017. Steer well clear of these if you have anything to sell.
Just bought a house, been very busy and they were great, nudged me tactfully when I needed to do something but didn't bombard me with communications I didn't need like some agents can do. From my viewpoint they understood my needs and got it just right. Thanks to all involved.
Staff looked down on mr as I was a little scruffy from working. But handled business well enough
From very first meeting always felt connected and in safe secure hands. Hense the choice of agent.
Constantly updated regarding viewings and followed up in full with responses from potential buyers.
Once sold again agent guided us with suggestions on solicitors etc.
If needed correspondence printing they were always helpful, even going the extra mile by delivering and popping through letterbox, as they new we were trying to help mum with her relocation needs.
Havnt completed on sale as yet but still
Excellent agents throughout, regardless of who we spoke with at the Chatteris branch. All have been exceptional in their willingness to help however they can.
5 stars all the way thus far......
Pat, David and Rebekah were all very friendly and approachable and answered all my questions. They also listened to my frustrations with how long the process was taking and spent hours of their valuable time chasing solicitors on my behalf. This has been my first experience of them and I will be sure to remember them in the future if I have need of an estate agent. Thank you for all that you did to help me get settled in my new home!
Very poor service!!!! After viewing and paying down £350.00 to hold a house to rent, the service was extremely Poor!!! The refranceing part was even more shocking when they did not understand the way my income was tax, after I had explained it to them going back and fort from the agent to the referencing company. They gave a decision that wrongfully reflexed my income. I then had to get my accountant to call them and explain the way my income and taxation works even duo I did this twice before. The office then stopped answering my phone calls, and when I did get hold of them I using 141 to block my number they answer my call right after i called showing my number. I was then given a runaround story by the staff and was told that i'll be called back within five min's once they talked to someone in the office; or they have to talk to the landlord; This went on and I was never called back by anyone till I called them the next day, I even left it for two day when I was told I was getting a call back stright away, and never did. From the day I paid my money to the day I HAD IT with all the Extremely POOR Service 17days had pass!! which was full of stress and upset for me as having to move house with 4 children is a stress in it self but having to put up with the incompetent staff at Abbotts letting, I called up to cancle everything I did not care if the landlord say yes or no to me renting the house all I wanted was my money back!! even this I now have to wait for as the only member of staff that can do refunds within the whold of Abbotts is on holiday till next Monday! I'm doing a live radio interview on BBC Cambridgeshir today and i'm going to get this story into it because people are held at ransom by letting agents cause the need somewhere to live so we put up with all The POOR Service, The Rude staff, The Lack of Empty at what is very stressful times. You had my money and still DO!! you also had an obligation to me as much as you have for the landlord to provide me with a Open,Honest and respectfull service. Which did not happen in this case!!! POOR POOR POOR POOR SERVICE "abbots" Never Again
Patrick Kavanagh and the team at Kavanagh Hayes worked tirelessly to secure the sale of our property. Patrick really went above and beyond for us & for that we are eternally grateful. I would 100% recommend - thanks again to Patrick & the team.
The worst agent ever! Do not employed Mr Patrick Kavanagh - terrible customer support and doesn’t manage properties
