14th Sep 2026 (14 days ago)? 1/5<br>Very disappointing experience.<br>A few years ago, I was due to rent a property in Ely through William H Brown. Everything had been arranged and I had already given notice on my previous home. On the very day I was supposed to collect the keys, I was told that the landlord had changed their mind.<br><br>I had organised everything around the move and was left in an extremely difficult situation, with the real possibility of having nowhere to live. I still remember the stress this caused me and my family.<br><br>I understand that landlords can change their minds, but I expected the agency to make sure everything was secure before allowing me to give notice and prepare to move. Years later, I still remember how badly this was handled. Based on my experience, I would not use them again.
11th Sep 2026 (17 days ago)I recently moved into a property via Tucker Gardner and had a very difficult start. On arrival, the garden fence was badly broken and both front and back gardens were not cleaned. I was told this would be fixed within one week and that I should deal with the property management team.<br>I was also given keys that did not work for the back door. It took two days before the back lock was replaced and I finally had working keys.<br>Worst of all, the gas connection was delayed because the previous tenant had an outstanding bill. I had to wait nearly 10 days before gas and hot water were available in the property. I have two young children, and during that time we had no hot water or gas.<br>I believed their word because Tucker Gardner is a reputed company, but in future I would not trust verbal promises until everything is actually done. If you are moving with this company, please make sure the property is in a liveable condition from your first day. Don’t rely on what they say will be fixed “soon” – get it done before you move in, or at least get clear written deadlines and compensation.<br>This is not a hate comment; it is my real experience. I don’t want any other family, especially with children, to go through the same crisis.<br>Landlords and agents should not let a property until it is clean, safe, and ready to live in from day one. Tenants pay security deposits and advance rent on time; it is the agent’s responsibility to provide a good standard of service so people can move in without hesitation or hardship.
22nd Mar 2026 (6 mo. ago)We have bought and sold numerous properties and never have we not had a single viewing ! It was on the market for 24 weeks without a single viewing. They didn’t communicate well and didn’t make any suggestions as to how we could get viewings. Sadly we have removed it from this agent now. The staff were lovely couldn’t fault them but unfortunately we wouldn’t use again, sorry.

We were lucky to be shown around by a lady who showed interest in our needs and was very knowledgeable. We really appreciated this as we were new to the area. We would recommend this agency to anyone considering a purchase in the near future.
