Rented a property from these so called estate angents. End of tenancy comes, someone called Danny calls me to do an end of tenancy inspection . Danny came for this date and was in fact early. He was early as he arranged an open house! I was absolutely shocked as i was home with my daughter and all these people coming in and out terrified her. My wife arrived home and questioned Danny about it, which Danny offered to cancel halfway through a walk through. I was so disappointed that at no stage was I told about an open house.
Coming around to returning the deposit. We left our old address over a month ago, not a single soul has been in touch about our deposit which was a large sum of money that they are holding.
I have tried and tried to get answers from Natasha, who never replies to any emails of mine and is never there to answer the call. I think this is disgraceful of WHB. I would understand if I had any updates regarding the return of our deposit, but not once has Natasha got back to me.
I would suggest anyone to steer clear of these greedy people, it clearly shows that bonuses are more important that customer service.

In the last year I have purchased two properties through WHB and it has been far from a pleasant experience. Agents require constant chasing to progress the sale as they do very little in the way of checking the sale if not as there is no after sales team. When if came to move day we realised we had too much for one van load and I rang WHB to ask the vendors if we could drop some furniture off beforehand, and I was heavily patronised on the phone by a lady working there, when I asked her to speak to the vendors politely she told me to 'let her finish ' in a vary nasty tone. WHB lacks any compassion for how stressful the process is and needs to work on its customer service as I have felt very patronised several times . I have also had several queries unanswered by my agent and the branch manager. William H Brown also withheld the keys and it took my partner having to go in and demand they phone the solicitors to get our keys.

Staff are friendly and helpful but I have given three stars "OK" because communication could be better. I had to be quite proactive to get information, but admittedly it was a during a very busy period. They are still considerably better than the last letting agency my landlord used.

Whilst I was initially underwhelmed with the WHB platform only allowing limited pictures for advertising and not great photos either, (this is a criticism of the system rather than the people).
James was an excellent negotiator in a very long and tortuous sale. Communications were very good, proactive and excellent support throughout the process. So regards the online platform, prob 2 stars, inflexible, and well behind the curve of current marketing IT options. Regards James and the human interface, 5 stars however!

Only managed 1 viewing in 20 weeks. After giving them notice, there was another viewing and one booked but cancelled on same day, no feedback. Didn't feel they put any effort in and and after only 2 weeks with them, they were requesting I reduce the price, which THEY said was the valuation! After that, they requested a price drop on several occasions, despite other similar properties being priced the same or higher than mine!

Rental staff incompetent and lackadaisical. I would recommend you get all conversations with Alice confirmed in writing. Her errors have cost me over £1000 in additional rent. Also using their portal to report problems with the property were ignored with only a generated email response. Emailing the rental team rarely gets a reply which means you have to contact them by phone so you have no proof or record of what was said. This has resulted in us losing over £1000. Thanks for that! If you are a landlord or tenant I would not recommend William H Brown. The property we rented was neglected for many years despite numerous attempts to have repairs carried out.

Letting staff very rude and unhelpful - basically after renting property were told any issues with the place were down to the tenant and should be dealt with by tenant. Took then 5 months to sort out monthly payments after paying 6 weeks in advance to have rent taken on 1st of each month so always looked like in arrears. Basically very poor experience and very rude staff. would not recommend them to any one

I am not the sort to write reviews normally. But I feel on this occasion was definitely needed for anyone looking for a mortgage advisor! We were in contact with adam waring back at the beginning of the year it was a long process alot of ups and down and complications to our situation but adam was very responsive, always keeping in contact going above and beyond if there was anything he could do he would, any issues or confusion he would clear things up for us or contact the relevant people I don't know what more I can say we can't thank him enough he has been the best person we have had the pleasure of being involved with during our house move he been super friendly, very helpful, patient and responsive and fully recommend him to anyone.

We began the sales journey pre-lockdown – talking to the various estate agents in our area and planning towards the sale of a troubled property (a jaded 2 acres and a house with subsidence and planning permissions required) William H Brown stood out from the crowd. Unperturbed by the issues yet knowledgeable offering support, advice and information freely was key to the initial choice.
Having gained planning permission we eventually went to market at the beginning of lockdown one; the home review, descriptions, pictures and submissions to web sites and brochures where fantastic and for the bargain price of just a tad over £100 we also secured full professional photos, fly by drone pictures, a presentation with voice over to match any day time TV advertising and prime placing on the home sales web sites.
We where a repair or replace sale and WH Brown triaged, vetted, and assured we received viewers who fully understood the conditions of the home not wasting our or their time to view, yet intrigued to visit. Every weekend, from day one we had at least one visit.
The sale took time, as was to be expected with lockdown and house condition, not for the faint hearted yet we eventually sold, in the midst of a short lived price war to a couple we knew would cherish and return our beloved property to its prime.
I would whole heartedly recommend W. H. Brown; if they could sell our house, they can sell yours.

This agency doesn't represent good quality service. In the beginning they were very nice and helpful, they promise to solve all problems in next 3 months, but we were waiting 7 months till they changed broken door. They ignore our request for support and contact with landlord. Linda and Paige were cheating, didn't answer phones and never coming back to us with information. So communication was very poor. The house we rented was stinking with cats smell, and Linda created couple stories about it every week she had a different one. And even when we left it after 15 months it was still smells after washing it twice and used many other options to try solve it didn't work. The company didn't want to pass this information to the owner. So I don't recommend this company. Oh and the funny thing is when we saw website price was 630. When we spoke with Linda she gave us price 610, but when we left Whiliam h brown we saw on in the window it cost actually £600.

Hi there peoples! :) I want add my opinion about this Agency... as I had not really impressive experience with previous agency this one did me nice surprize! Lady who deal with property what I rented just today did act in very professional manner :) As I'm very busy and stressed in job what I'm doing I have no time to waste and service provided was just spot on! I did act a bit pessimistic but all is sorted... explained calmly, home rented. Keys passed to me same day as promised! What more can I say :D WELL DONE! Thank You very much. Leigh! Keep up good job :)

We have been using William H Brown for 6 odd years now. We’ve bought 3 properties through them and sold one. All of which went smoothly. We use Leigh and Lyn in the Lettings department to let our flat. They are professional, direct, provide excellent customer service and quick responses, and are reliable. They go the extra mile to help us with any problems we may have and don’t bat an eye if I ring with random/stupid questions. I recommend the March office and will continue to use them for as long as they are there. Thank you ladies.

I can honestly say having William h Brown selll my house has proved to be a costly mistake and I haven’t even paid their bill yet! I have never received such terrible service as I have from them and I’m disappointed I have to give them one star. Their service has been so bad that I have given up talking to them altogether and have been getting any imnformation I need from my buyers estate agents who have given me factual information and kept me informed immediately of any new information which is more than can be said for Annette who suplied me with inaccurate information which caused me no end of upset. You would think given that they ask you to use their solicitor they would liaise with them but Annette didn’t bother in my case. No doubt they’ll be quick enough to liaise with them when they want their money.
Selling or buying a house is a stressful enough time and I think that estate agents are meant to make the process easier not worse.
While not every sale goes smoothly you would think that when they are the ones causing the problems that an apology wouldn’t be too much to ask.
Ellis winters in Chatteris have been fantastic and I really can’t thank them enough for all the help and information given to me by them.

Not only did I find Lynda Hay always friendly, polite and far more important she is extremely efficient and helpful. She has a clear understanding of what is right for the client and advises accordingly with all aspects of looking after the property. In short I feel she has my interest at heart.

I couldn't thank the William H Brown team in March enough for all the work they have put into helping me sell my property and also find my new property.
Having been a first-time seller, I had never gone through selling a property before. However, Charlie (the branch valuer) talked me through every step of the way and gave me a price that exceeded my expectations.
I also have to thank Neave, Natalie and Nichola for arranging viewings for my property at a time that suited me, as well as being able to get my property sold for more than what I expected to sell at. From the time my property made it online, I already had three viewings booked, and the team were able to sell my property within TEN DAYS.
Adam (the mortgage manager) was excellent in keeping me informed about the mortgage application, and a mortgage offer was out in no time at all.
Chris (the branch manager) and Annette (the sales progressor) were there to contact at any point about the sale and purchase, and gave me accurate timelines in terms of what was happening with the sale and purchase. It was great to speak to them as I was always informed about what was happening.
I would recommend anyone looking to buy or sell a property to use William H Brown in March. Excellent service from start to finish!
