21st Aug 2024 (1 year ago)The house we are selling was bought through Whitegates Cleckheaton and had found them very helpful , so when we put it up for sale we went back to the them. After 10 months and a variety of "problems" [being asked to conduct viewing ourselves, not getting constructive feedback etc] we reluctantly cancelled with them .

Every week until I received keys she would call and give updates chasing solicitors from both sides. I would say it was Tabby who managed to get me the keys a little earlier! Defo recommend them to anyone who is looking to buy as well as sell!

5th Apr 2026 (29 days ago)Our experience with William H Brown has been extremely distressing and, frankly, shocking in terms of professionalism and conduct. From the outset, communication was unacceptable. Emails and phone calls were repeatedly ignored, sometimes for long periods, leaving us completely in the dark and forced to chase basic information. This created unnecessary stress and gave the impression that once they had our interest, responding to customers was no longer a priority. What made matters far worse was the way my daughter — a first-time buyer with very limited knowledge of the property market — was treated. Instead of being supported and guided responsibly, she appeared to be subjected to pressure and tactics that felt opportunistic and unfair toward someone in a vulnerable position. There were statements made to her that later proved to be inconsistent or misleading, which raised serious concerns about honesty and transparency. We were particularly troubled by what felt like a persistent push toward using their in-house broker, with claims that it would be more affordable. When this turned out not to be the case, it left us feeling deceived and taken advantage of. For a young buyer entering the market for the first time, this kind of experience is both intimidating and damaging. Overall, the behaviour we encountered came across as evasive, unhelpful, and at times sly. Trust is essential in property transactions, yet our trust was repeatedly undermined by poor communication and questionable conduct. Based on our experience, we would strongly advise others — especially first-time buyers — to approach this company with extreme caution, keep detailed records of all interactions, and carefully verify any information provided. A deeply disappointing and troubling experience from start to finish.

Kerry, Dean and Olivia have been amazing from start to finish! As first time buyers with a fair few challenges (solicitors going into administration 3 weeks before completion)they were at the end of the phone for each and every breakdown I had along the way! I could write reasons all day why they have been so fantastic! customer support is second to none! nothing is too much trouble, they went above and beyond in every way possible! They deserve all the recognition in the world and we will be forever grateful! THANK YOU! ??

They went above and beyond to get the viewers in to look at the property and tried their best to advertise the house in the best way possible. Finally we have a buyer and its thanks to David and Freddie. Trust, honesty and straight talking is what you want and its what we got with them so thank you both again.

27th Mar 2026 (5 weeks ago)THE RUDEST ESTATE AGENT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS IN MY LIFE! Usually you would expect to be welcomed to to a property you are looking to buy, invited to park on the drive so you can see what it would be like to live there. Not Claudia Romano, who arrives 1 minute before the appointment, shouting out of her car door, "I'M THE ESTATE AGENT SO I GET TO PARK THERE!". And then, once we have driven around and finally found somewhere to park, has the cheek to tell us that we're late and we will not have a full appointment - when we were there first! Prospective sellers - avoid at all costs!!!
13th Apr 2026 (21 days ago)No response for 3 days with NO ELECTRICITY with children and working from home. The property management team do not answer the phone, nor email. I spoke to someone from lettings who said she will get the property management team to respond asap, still nothing. My food spoiled in my fridge and freezer, unable to work from home, unable to cook food. Disgusting agency. Wonder if they will respond when seeing this. Oh and when we moved in last year, similar issue with no hot water for over a week, but refused to give any kind of rent reduction or compensation. I will be taking legal action now.

26th Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)I’m not the kind of person to bother writing reviews, however, I feel that my experience with Home and Manor has been the best I’ve had to date and I’ve bought and sold quite a few houses over the years. From the very start of the process Kelly came out to value my property and I feel she got the valuation spot on but in addition to that she impressed me with her experience and drive. She convinced me that Home and Manor would provide a first class service. I managed to sell my property for asking price and throughout, I have been kept in the loop at every stage. From viewings to offers everything was kept stream lined with excellent communication from Alex, Amanda, Jack and Lexie. The sale progression has also been amazing with Laura Oldroyd, keeping me updated every week. Over all I think they are absolutely fantastic and would recommend to anyone.
