I would strongly recommend. I cannot say enough good things about the team. Stewart, Pam and Simon are easy to talk to and it was a pleasure doing business with them over the sale of my bungalow. I would not go anywhere else.
Dont you just love all the hype. Well I rented a property off them and boy I tell you it was bad bad bad. No heating, very damp and cold, cooker never worked, no kind of ventilator, leaks under kitchen sink, the electrics didnt work properly in the whole place. When I complained complained complained they just fobbed me off with all sorts of reason but never did the repairs that they signed for in the letting contract might as well throw that away really. If you rent off them you really are in for a rude awakening about the private landlord business make money at the expense of the customer.
In our experience we purchased a property with Billingham and taylor and they were very helpful and professional in every way and were always at the end of the phone if we had any questions. We had bad experiences with other estate agents and have lost propertied due to their incompetence. Thanks again to Jamie and the team
Very terrible experience with this agency. No respect to potential tenant. During viewing I was asked to remove shoes, which I find logical since I am not walking around my own house with shoes on and I understand that landlord might not want dirt from outside in his/hers property. However property was just finished and floor was full of post construction dust. Lady from this letting agency was already provided with shoe covers, while my socks were collecting all this dust just to dirty my shoes inside. When I have decided to apply to a property, they have kept me disinformed whether or not I can move in, made qualifying tournament type situation treating this like some kind of free of charge reward to the chosen one lucky to live in such property. Later on nobody bothered to contact me on time that was given to me as time of decision whether I qualified or not. The lady that I was taken "care" of had some sort forced politeness and very negative body language. Next week from appointed time I was contacted by a gentleman who stated that I did not qualify providing no reason. The thing I wonder now is whether this situation with decision and attitude was because I am foreign. I would like to also point that I did not even qualify to referencing stage so I can't even tell what was wrong with me. Was it my name? Last name? Date of Birth? Nationality? It felt like I was too primitive foreigner to live in their "modern residence", and kept me as reserve in case nobody worthy would appear.
Mark at Halesowen Branch was brilliant. Well prepared for us to come in and get our property on the market. He was very informative and gave us an excellent service.
Hopeless, rubbish, nonsensical estate agents. I called to arrange a viewing and got my ears chewed off by the mortgage advisor (why is she answering the phones??) trying to sell me some product where they leaflet drop to houses asking for people to sell their properties!! WTF! Completely unrelated to my query! I wanted to arrange a viewing! That is all!
good communication Interested in sale Let me know what was happening every step of the way
Very Strange...send me a letter dated the day I made an offer but post marked some 8 days after I made an offer, (and had been told a property was sold), asking me to increase my offer. I call and they say, no sorry the property is sold? I question this and they say it is a standard letter..FGS, what a farce. Will not be viewing any more of their properties that is for sure...get your Act together.
The team at Dixon's were so helpful and friendly. After looking for rental properties they pointed me in the direction of Bal their financial advisor who helped me secure a mortgage so I could purchase. Bal was really helpful and kept me updated through the process which made the whole move alot easier than anticipated.
Dixons have lovely friendly staff who are happy to help. Throughout the sale of my home they have been professional and have kept me informed of any new developments regarding the sale. They are always looking to market properties in different ways rather than let them go stale on the market.
With an in house mortgage advisor too it makes buying/selling a property very easy.
Would definitely recommend giving them a call.
We were extremely pleased with the service we received from The Property Shop. From the outset everyone we interacted with was friendly and accommodating, and would always help us as much as they could.
Within hours of our house going on the market we had multiple viewings booked in, selling on the first viewing. At a later date the sale fell through and within 5 days of this we had sold the house for a second time, again on the first viewing.
We struggled to find a house that met our needs on the market, and Dan went out of his way to find us the perfect house that hadn’t yet come to market, which we agreed a sale on. We have now been looking on the market for around 6 months, and there still hasn’t been another property come up for sale that would have suited us better.
Throughout the whole process Dan was a helping hand and was available for advice at all stages, even when he didn’t need to be!! He put up with a lot of ear ache from me on the phone, asking him to chase solicitors etc., and he made sure it was always done.
We have recommended The Property Shop to friends, as having moved with other estate agents before, we feel the service The Property Shop provide is much more personable, a lot of other estate agents seem to me to be “Quantity over quality”. We felt that everyone genuinely cared how our move went and that we found the right house.
Anyone who is considering using The Property Shop in stourbridge steer well clear, they wont refund my £600 deposit, (I moved out in January) and still no trace of it in the post office? Will only refund me via "cheque" (that never has arrived in the post) even though I paid via bank transfer and are very rude and condescending. Steer well clear
