Scriven & Co - Quinton

Estate House, 821 Hagley Road West, Quinton, Birmingham

Professional, Efficient, Fair, wouldn't hesitate in renting with them again. Thanks to Charles and the Scriven and Co Team. Cheers, Jack

Leaving area new year so part of primal therapy shout let it all out. Decades dealing with this lot they just look after their customers the property owners. Gas fire not working, leak under kitchen sink and much much more ignored. Be a day late with rent we will charge interest on that. Good riddance you won't be missed by me.

Connells - Halesowen

10 Hagley Road, Halesowen

Very efficient, sold our house in 4 days. If you want a quick sale would definitely recommend them. They are a bit more expensive than the other estate agents so would be great if they could be a bit more competitively priced, but overall a great estate agent to deal with. Jordan handled everything for us, great to deal with.

Don't go near this place! I've been waiting 2 months for my deposit back. I've made complaints to their Head Office who never respond. I've raised a dispute through the Deposit company who were told this had been resolved. Their Accounts Department (Connells) say the money is being transferred into my account, so far its taken 2 weeks!! Who knew transferring money took so long!! They all lie and cover each other but don't actually get anything done. I've exhausted every option and now I'm taking legal action against them. Be aware if this happens to you its really hard to get any money back as no one is properly regulated! Oh and on a side note Data Protection means nothing as they gave the new tenant my contact details!

Hi, I was so pleased to meet such a good team (Kirsty...). Professionals with smile all the time. But the one I would like to thank especially is Baljit. I met a very good, dynamic and avalaible person who always did his best to meet our expectations. He helped us not only regarding a very good mortgage but also an excellent house insurance. And when unfortunately we needed the help of our insurance regarding our house, he is being there for us and took immediately care of us personally. He is a very liable person. So I would recommend Baljit at 200%. Thanks again to all of the Dixons Team. ???? Take care and see you later! Regards, Adjia

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU COMMIT May i first start by saying that Dixons have ruined my life and my family's life Back in August we started the process of a sale and purchase of our new home. Dixons were put in charge of the sale of my property what a mistake that was. In two and half months we only ever met any of the staff at Dixons once, and that was to witness the signing of the contract. When we first started the process we did all our own viewings and Dixons never attended once or even offered. All viewings were pushed to the evenings or weekends so they didn't have to attend. After multiple viewings the first offer for our property came in, and even though it was against my better judgement I was advised to accept the offer that was given to me. This was a person whom arrived to my property drunk and no credentials to have a mortgage as we found out. It was only after all the checks were done and after many phone calls by myself I had to go to a separate branch to get any information about what was going on. As i was told the person i needed to speak to in my own branch was not there and when they rang for him not knowing i was there he answered the phone. After this deal fell through which i knew it would do and me threatening to pull the plug, I was asked to give them another chance and reluctantly did, biggest mistake of our life. We started the process yet again and the same happened again and again, we continued to do our own viewings and i was constantly chasing them for information. Again after multiple viewings at the weekend an offer was accepted of what we believed to be a reputable person by Dixons. We had told Dixons not to send anybody to the property unless they were thoroughly checked out and could get a mortgage. The person who the offer was accepted with had his mortgage in place or so we were led to believe by Dixons and after chasing numerous phone calls and emails from myself I was assured that everything was 100% and in place and i kept checking this most days up until the day of the contract signing. My wife and I when we were weeks away from signing the contract and once again getting confirmation that everything was OK, gave up our job and business, and having to part with over a £1000 for searches, DBS, and fuel for interviews. We signed our contracts and they were witnessed by the branch manager of Dixons. We were told to hand them into the solicitor even though we were advised that his mortgage offer had fallen through and again was advised that they could still get him a mortgage 95% sure. After we returned home the same day we were informed that the mortgage offer on our property had fallen through due to something that they had found in their checks. We were gobsmacked that we have now found out that these checks were not done in the very beginning even though we had been promised they had. Dixons had tried to get him a better deal, he lost the lot. And now the purchase has come to the end. We are now sitting here with no way of paying our mortgage or bills, with no jobs, no new dream home and if we cant get jobs very quickly we could lose our present house. This whole experience has made us both very stressed and totally shocked of how we have been treated

Hicks Hadley

13 Hagley Road

Although i have dealt with couple of Real Estate agencies but Hicks Hadley was completely different starting from how friendly and understanding they were during viewing to professional delivery of the flat in the shortest period. Totally recommended to rent through them

Ali Rafeek

We lived in one of the houses let by Hicks Hadley for a year. When we moved out i spent three days cleaning the house and left it probably in better condition then before we moved in, except tiny mark on a carpet in conservatory and a broken curtain rail. They took a whopping £600 off deposit for it which I thought was absolutely outrages. Also during that year we had a bad experience with landlord who came every day for 5 days invading our privacy to do HIS garden up as the tenants before us left it outgrown and the estate agent did nothing to stop him.

MasonKnight Properties - Birmingham

201B Tiverton Road, Selly Oak

I was tenant with MasonKnight for 2 years and thoroughly recommend their services; they stand out from the crowd in Selly Oak because their properties are seemingly furnished and maintained to a higher quality than other letting agencies. The staff are approachable and helpful and they don't charge excessive fees. I would use them again.

Andrew Mullins

We had multiple issues with this agency ranging from lack of cooperation, to essential maintenance not being carried out, to the withholding of over £400 of our deposit. We eventually had to open up a litigation with the MyDeposit scheme, which we won - and 4 months later we were finally paid back the full amount.

Trinity Property

21 Wolverhampton Street, Dudley

When I moved from London to Dudley , trinity was really kick with the process, Kelly showed me the property and was always helpful and nice every time I had to contact the agency for any reason. Always responsive to emails and phone calls. The house was newly refurbished as well. I recommend.

Rita Castilho

Used Trinity in the past to sell a property and Eric and his team were good. However I recently arranged to view a rental property on their next available date in their diary and noticed the day before the viewing that the advert said the property was now let! I rang them as I was fuming and asked how this could be. They said they had a viewing slot available and someone had booked it. I asked why they couldn’t have rung me to view. Errrr! Don’t know. I bet you they wouldn’t have called me to cancel the viewing and I’d have just turned up when it’d already been let. Unfortunately it’s a sign of the times, no courtesy and no common sense from a bunch of ignorant, brain dead muppets!

A very good comparison website for checking local estate agencies. We used it to check who have sold the most in our area and the results were very useful to us.

It really helped my decision making

There are so many estate agents to choose from but they provided details with the numbers of houses each had sold in my area and which had achieved the asking price which I found most helpful
