Excellent service from day one. All the staff are very professional, friendly and kept us informed at all times. Special thanks to George Scriven who worked tirelessly through all the ups and downs we had.
Nothing was too much trouble. He went above and beyond expectations and got the final result our property SOLD. Can highly recommend this Estate Agents. 10/10.
Scrivens and co and there landlord team are just another prime example of discrimination to cause stereotypes.
I am not going to look all guns blazing and play in with there tactics however I am appalled at how I have been treated by them.
Me and my partner who are both in good jobs and who both earn over the threshold to not need a guarantor, applied for a property to be told we will hear back within 3 days. 3 days came and 3 days passed. In fact 3 weeks passed! I called and was told I would be called back numerous times and never was.
I then noticed that they had updated new photos on the website for the property and took off the phrase "ready middle of october" stating it was ready now.
In the end I was getting sick of waiting so I arranged for my mother to call and good job she did as they were more than happy to speak to her! Guess what it all to boiled down to... the fact that I am 19 and my partner is 21! Guess they wouldn't mind speaking to my mother as she's older!!!!
I'm not being funny but they obviously put it down to stereotype of younger people. Now I want to know how do you expect to not get these stereotypes when no one is giving us opportunity. Everyone, and by the looks of it people at scrivens think oh young people live in high rise flats, council houses don't pay bills etc. Why don't you let your landlords meet us and give us a chance??
I would have been happier if you'd have at least kept me in the loop instead of excuse after excuse when it was all because of my age.
Thanks for nothing apart from a confidence knock scrivens!
From my initial visit through to property sale (& purchase of new home via Lex Allan too!) I couldn't have gotten a better service. I can not fault their services & hard work, professionalism & friendly approach. They have given me regular feedback, updates & made our house sale & purchase (almost) stressless. Five stars all round *****
Take heed and remain aware of the hidden charges and with lack of communication you can loose out and then say the description is incorrect
A quick and stress free action to put up my house for sale.. Feeling confident
Hopeless, rubbish, nonsensical estate agents. I called to arrange a viewing and got my ears chewed off by the mortgage advisor (why is she answering the phones??) trying to sell me some product where they leaflet drop to houses asking for people to sell their properties!! WTF! Completely unrelated to my query! I wanted to arrange a viewing! That is all!
Very Strange...send me a letter dated the day I made an offer but post marked some 8 days after I made an offer, (and had been told a property was sold), asking me to increase my offer. I call and they say, no sorry the property is sold? I question this and they say it is a standard letter..FGS, what a farce. Will not be viewing any more of their properties that is for sure...get your Act together.
Highly recommend Bal (Baljit Bajway) for mortgage advice. Guided us through the process of buying a house from start to finish. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Also, on a rare occasion when he wasn't certain of an answer to a question, he phoned Nat West there and then to ask them. Much better than a previous advisor we tried elsewhere who blagged an answer and got it wrong.
I had an appointment with Baljit in March 2018 to arrange a mortgage. After the meeting he said he would need a few days to look in to it as the computer system was down. I emailed 6 days later and he replied that the computer had been down longer and to give him few more days. 3 emails and 3 months later I have given up waiting for a reply or an update. Very unprofessional and unhelpful. Would not recommend.
