No communication, no updates, they over value a property to get you on board and then you have to keep reducing the price because they cannot sell it. 2 years to sell a property during a time when all houses were flying off the shelves! Anything associated with Duckworths, I would stay well away unless you want to lose money. They don't care and it shows in their service.

I understand that they guy I was dealing with was away dealing with urgent family matters but the guy left in the office kept me wondering if a house sale was going through or not. The estate agent had a conflict of interest as he’s now the project manager of the house that I sold. Overall it was a stressful time and I am glad I do not want to move house.

What an absolute fantastic young man Max is , a delight . Welcomed us with a big smile and gave us a tour of the property with such pride . Very knowledgeable and answered every question thoroughly. Keenans should be very proud of Max, great future " asset " Well done Max ??????
5th Jan 2026 (17 weeks ago)As a potential buyer it is very difficult to get through to these estate agents. I have waited over a week for them to get back to me regarding a viewing for properties. They seem to be very adverse to picking up the phone or replying to email enquiries if you are looking to either buy or sell your property I would personally stay clear from this Estate Agent. In addition to this the re occurring theme of discriminatory behaviour is very off putting in the previous reviews as well.

19th Apr 2026 (16 days ago)I have known Lewis for a number of years as a family friend and always knew he was in the property market. My parents live abroad and were looking for a place back in the UK, so I gave Lewis a call to see what the options were locally. We were after a very specific type of property, so knew it may be a challenge. Within a week my parents had viewed 3 properties and put an offer in on one which is now going through. I can’t recommend the experience enough. Lewis has been incredible and kept me and my parents updated throughout the process. Highly recommended and if you are thinking of moving within the Ribble valley give Lewis at Stones Young a call.

As a landlord, things can get stressful, but Fatima made the whole journey feel easy from day one. I bought the property through her, and she didn’t just stop there, she helped manage the refurbishment, kept me updated throughout, and made sure everything was done properly. Once it was ready, she found a tenant quickly and handled all the letting side without any hassle on my end. What I really appreciated was how hands on and reliable she was. I felt like everything was genuinely taken care of, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a smooth, end-to-end service.

Honestly made a stressful time of selling our house (within 48 hours of going live may I add) as easy as she possibly could. All the staff give a personal touch and that cannot be matched. Definitely recommend for buying and selling.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Very proactive in marketing my property and no issue in relation to attending viewings when I was unable to be present. A great all round team!

27th Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)THE RUDEST ESTATE AGENT I HAVE EVER COME ACCROSS IN MY LIFE! Usually you would expect to be welcomed to to a property you are looking to buy, invited to park on the drive so you can see what it would be like to live there. Not Claudia Romano, who arrives 1 minute before the appointment, shouting out of her car door, "I'M THE ESTATE AGENT SO I GET TO PARK THERE!". And then, once we have driven around and finally found somewhere to park, has the cheek to tell us that we're late and we will not have a full appointment - when we were there first! Prospective sellers - avoid at all costs!!!

I was kept up to date promptly at all points of the process and it was a stress free experience. Would definitely use again and come highly recommended.
