Excellent service from start to finish. Cannot fault anywhere along the journey of our sale and will be the first port of call upon our next adventure! C&R
These guys sold my parents house and I actually had them look around and give their price and advice. My parents decided to have them sell the house because of their reputation - which is kind of mixed but suggests they sell well (hard sell) and also because of their I guess relentless self publicity (which isn't a bad thing. They spent most of the appraisal criticizing other Estate Agencies and generally being arrogant. However they priced the property at £330,000 which was pretty much in line with other valuations. Once marketing commenced it seemed to all be about getting any offer and trying to make my parents accept it. The property sold for £300,000 a couple of weeks into the marketing due to the pressure put upon my parents by the Agents. Of course my parents weren't duty bound to accept their advice but they are of course very persuasive people. I just think another Agent would have tried harder for longer to get a more realistic sale price for the property - they just wanted the house off their books!
Dealt with our purchase in a top class way. Will use when it is time to sell. Better than any other agent around
Lewis Haughton Wills don’t even deserve the one star I’m required to give. I honestly can’t think of a single positive thing to say about them. Prospective tenants such as ourselves don’t have the luxury of choosing the lettings agents as we have to make choices based on the suitability of the properties over all else, which has resulted in us unfortunately having to deal with them twice over the past few months.
On both occasions they caused us an immense amount of inconvenience and stress through their appalling lack of communication. We always had to do the chasing up on the status of our applications and each one of our many phone calls were always met with excuses as to why they had no information for us (the person dealing with our application wasn’t in, they’d just got back from a holiday and didn’t know what was going on , etc.). Every time they made promises to chase up information and get back to us, and not once did we receive a phone call from them.
We put in an application for another property with another agent a few days after we put in one with LHW and the entire process was completed within two weeks (references, deposit, the lot) and we were kept up to date with the entire process. After a few more phone calls, I gave up trying to get information from LHW about the other property, and to this day we have received no update, despite being told initially we were the only applicants. Just to make that completely clear, we're still waiting to hear from them after 4 weeks of putting in our application. How can anyone think that's acceptable customer service? I understand that different companies use different processes, but that should not compromise the service provided to their clients.
I could list off many, many more problems we encountered with them but I will end by saying that if you are looking to rent or sell your property, I urge you to think twice before using LHW. They are incompetent, unprofessional, and you will lose out on reliable tenants or buyers.
As new landlords we weren't sure about the process of letting a property and when we spoke to the team at Heather & Lay they helped us out no end. With so many rules an regulations that surround letting a property we felt confident in the help and advice they provided. They found us a suitable tenant within just a few days of marketing our property, who we have since met and I am pleased to say are very happy, as are we.
Terrible customer service. There is never any customer service with the tenants or the landlord. They are only interested to take the money and run. Staff have no people skills. Beware of using them - it causes more stress than ever is needed.
Tom Wills and the team did a great job for us both valuing and selling our terraced house in Falmouth. The agency is extremely professional and were excellent at communicating with me throughout the entire process.Throughly recommended.
Rory and the team at Laskowski & Co were totally brilliant when I recently bought my new home in Falmouth - efficient, friendly and helpful. They helped make the whole experience an enjoyable rather than stressful one.
Steve and the team are the epitome of professional. A man of his word and a selling machine. We wouldn’t use another estate agent again. Cannot thank them enough for the friendly and professional service they provided us with. Would recommend to anyone.
I was a tenant with Kimberley's and found them to be very unprofessional. So much so that I didn't even look at their properties when I recently bought a house. Our rented house had a whole host of issues, most of which seem to have been deliberately covered up before we moved in. The house had been freshly painted, so looked great. A week later the paint was still wet and the extent of the damp trouble was revealed. Unfortunately we were then tied into a 12 month contract. This would be bad in itself, but the aggressive responses we received from Kimberley's and the total lack of understanding from their staff was unacceptable. The problem was never truly resolved, and now they're selling the house - no doubt after a lick of paint to cover up the problems again. My only advice - avoid Kimberley's.
Sold our house with Harding & Wakefield and found them highly professional and friendly. They got us out of a bit of a hole (won't be using an online estate agent again.....) and they made the whole thing a lot less stressful. There was plenty of communication from them throughout the whole process and I would highly recommend using them.
An estate agent with a difference, friendly, attentive and reasonable rates.
