17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

The whole team have been fantastic from start to finish, making what can be a stressful process feel so much easier.<br><br>A special mention to Pete and Nick, who have both been absolutely brilliant. Always approachable, quick to respond and genuinely helpful whenever we've needed anything. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and we always felt like we were in good hands.<br><br>Communication has been excellent, and it's clear they really care about doing a great job for their clients.<br><br>A genuinely great team of people who I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking to sell their home. Minimal viewings Person showing the house (not the exp lead) arrived at the same time as the potential buyers so house wasn’t opened up or displayed to best advantage No communication from the estate agent I would not use exp again. Very disappointed.
