27th Sep 2023 (9 mo. ago)Cannot recommend Joel and his team in Wells high enough. First class service and customer care. Regular updates on viewings with sound feedback. Once a potential buyer was secured, the team of four monitored the progress of the conveyancing law firms of both the buyer and ourselves, and what a bonus that was when ‘lethargy’ appeared to have ‘rooted’ itself in the process on several occasions. The commission was sensible and they deserved every penny. ????
4th Jul 2024 (23 days ago)Tor Estates dealt with the sale of our parents’ house following their demise, so it was a rather sad time for us. However, Neil and Holly handled the situation with empathy and helped to ease the process. The sale didn’t go as smoothly as was expected due to issues at the bottom of the chain but Holly was “on the case” every day liaising with solicitors etc and keeping us updated. In our opinion they are a very efficient, professional company and we would highly recommend them.
16th Dec 2023 (7 mo. ago)Having been model tenants and rented a property for 16 years I found they never pushed the landlord for repairs and when our roof leaked the served us a two months notice and did nothing to help us find alternative accomodation. When we visited them my disabled daughter could not get in through their office's stepped door in her wheelchair and non of the staff moved from their chairs to help.

We met Harry and Tracyann at our property who guided us through evaluation and viewings, they were both exactly what we had hoped for, open and informative. From that point on I mostly spoke with Bridget. She is amazing. Always there to speak to and send messages to, a huge asset to the team. I really can’t thank Bridget enough for all she did for us and the way she worked tirelessly on our behalf. Not only was she so friendly she also made me feel genuinely supported throughout the sale of our property. She was happy to relay back and forth to multiple parts of our chain. Worth her weight in gold!

5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)I'd give 0 stars if possible. I've never dealt with a more dishonest company. They valued my home years ago, at a low value which was fine. A lot of work had been done since then. When I actually went to them to list it, Ash came out to give an estimate. We agreed 375k with a view to get 350k. I went back and forth with Ian about getting pictures done. We arranged a time and they were a no show. With the level of work getting it prepared, what a disaster. I said you never showed up, and Ian was very apologetic and wanted to reschedule. He said we didn't have an appointment which I had confirmation in an email. I ignored that, we were done with them, and we went on with the company we were with. Fast forward 2 months, we're trying to get a deal done, and someone called them saying they were an investor looking at our property, and Stonebridge said they'd value it at 260k! Less then they had done years ago, and certainly less than the value Ash gave me when he visited our house recently. I can't even understand why they would give that information to a 3rd party, and certainly done out of spite as we did not give them the listing. They ruined the deal we had based on lies. Avoid at all cost!

Their conduct was exemplary in terms of communicating, empathy, reassuring and reality – an estate agency which genuinely understands the emotions and needs of people as well as the practical aspects of selling homes. They are second to none – ‘Knights to be trusted' - professional decent agents who can effectively secure a sale with the least amount of stress. Communicating and engaging throughout the whole conveyance - always there. Keeping us informed. Knight Frank Exeter has a brilliant business ethos balancing, with integrity, the buyers and sellers’ emotions and needs to their own business purpose. To them customers really do come first. We even received a hamper from them on exchange - it is us who should be giving them a hamper! Highly recommended – I just hope we can now buy from them! In all a complete waste of 6 months- 25th Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)Greenslade Taylor Hunt have provided us with a very professional service from start to finish. The staff are always available to answer any questions in a friendly professional manner. The brochure that they produced showed our property in a fantastic light and marketed our property fantastically. Would highly recommend using their services.

When we found our dream home we had absolutely exceptional support from Jayne with the Cheddar team (James and Leanne) providing additional assistance; nothing was too much trouble. Everyone was proactive in helping us get to completion. Absolutely no complaints and would definitely recommend L&W when searching for your next property. Thank you all we are very grateful.

17th Oct 2021 (2 years ago)Very clever, come across all nicey nicey but two face springs to mind. We spent 2.5 years in one of there properties, we paid on dot every month and the house was kept in top condition by us. After 2 lots of cancer I suffer with anxiety and depression, well what we where put through only to find out was lies. We were told that the owner was moving back and the stress of finding somewhere was a nightmare, more added pressure. I've now gone part time due to the stress and my immune system has taken a hammering... Lies lies and yep more lies.back to Italy very soon.. Plenty other agents out there I've just seen this so adding it, we wee paying £725 in September it's now £895 shocking....
18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Michael was very professional at all stages, always replying to any queries quickly, giving excellent advice and always available. We were really pleased with the photos and marketing, and viewings and achieved a quick sale. We were also very happy with the aftercare too, making sure the sale went through smoothly. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Charles Barnard again.

She has been at the end of the phone and email when needed and answered my many many questions very promptly. Steff was very approachable and nothing was too much trouble.
