We had a viewing arranged this evening at Grosvenor Crescent with Cara Haston. We received a text this morning confirming that the viewing was going ahead at 6pm, so were very surprised when nobody from Savills turned up at the property. We had both made the trip into Edinburgh specifically for the viewing and had each paid separately for parking nearby, only to be left waiting with no communication. We tried calling the Edinburgh office, only to find that it was closed. Our call was redirected to the London office, where we were told they would try to find out what had happened and get back to us. Unfortunately, we never received a return call or any explanation. It was a frustrating waste of both our time and money, particularly given that the appointment had been confirmed only that morning. It also doesn’t reflect particularly well on the service being provided to the seller, whose property was effectively left without a scheduled viewing taking place. Overall, a very disappointing and unprofessional experience. We had expected a much higher standard of communication and organisation from Savills, given its reputation as one of the more established estate agents.... Read more
