He was incredibly responsive, even during holidays, and always took the time to answer all of my questions. He is kind, friendly, and very responsible, and he helped me throughout the entire process with the flat. I genuinely felt supported and couldn’t recommend him highly enough????
29th Jan 2019 (7 years ago)Throughout a very long and complex sale with lots of issues and potential deal breakers, Richard kept us updated and encouraged. He was always prompt to reply to messages by phone or email. He was always honest and upfront, managing our expectations and delivering difficult news appropriately. With a different estate agent we might not have had the energy to see the sale through. Robert played a similar role throughout the initial part of our sale while we kept having to re-adjust the price in a very tricky market. These guys are the real deal, the opposite of a dodgy estate agent cliché, they know their stuff and genuinely care about their clients.
29th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)FJL produced a very good brochure with nice photos but they suggested we reduce the asking price which they recommended in the beginning. They had the house on the market for 5 months but we never received an offer even when.price was reduced.

29th Apr 2026 (23 days ago)Very cautionary experience as a tenant. Failure to address persistent mould issue - learned only by chance from former tenant that they had raised this concern as well without resolution by Oliver Burn. Upon end of tenancy they have made outlandish financial claims for supposed "third party" fees and are now improperly withholding the entirety of our deposit including even the amount they say is undisputed. Have had to pursue this matter via TDS.

Lorig and Matt were super insightful and guided and helped with all my questions, needs related to the buying process till completion! I’d recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!
28th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)I’ve had a nightmare experience with john co since the very beginning. First, they were incredibly inefficient with the move-in process, delaying my tenancy start date by three weeks and leaving the property vacant for that entire time. What makes this even more ridiculous is that they failed to carry out mandatory safety inspections (EICR, Gas Safety, EPC) during those three weeks of vacancy. Instead, they have contacted me three times in just my first three weeks of living here, demanding access for various contractors. It feels as though they are using me as an unpaid property manager to coordinate their overdue maintenance. If you value your time, privacy, and mental peace, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Their management is a complete mess.

They readily put me at ease and fully explained how the process works, given i was embarassingly clueless on many issues. They gave much needed, clear and concise information about current legislation, requirements and timescales, and kept me updated on progress during the actual lettings process. Definitely an above and beyond approach. Its given me the confidence to continue as a landord. I especially appreciate the fixed fee for clearly listed services that other companies either didnt offer or were 'add on costs'.- 18th May 2026 (4 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Johns&Co at London City Island. From our very first conversation, we made it explicitly clear that parking was a requirement for us. We were initially shown a property with parking, shown the parking area itself, and then shown another property which we were told also included parking. Based on those representations, we proceeded and had our offer accepted. Only later did we discover — via a WhatsApp message from the agent Katie — that the property did not in fact include parking and that we would need to rent a space separately. This was clearly material information and something we had specifically stated was essential to our purchase decision. We would never have proceeded had the correct information been provided from the outset. What made the situation worse was the handling afterwards. We were initially told compensation would be offered, but after querying the amount, the local manager Elliot called to say we would receive nothing because the issue had been discovered “early in the process” and he did not believe anyone had done anything wrong. The overall attitude felt dismissive and lacking in accountability. We were left having wasted significant time and effort progressing a purchase based on inaccurate information, and ultimately had no choice but to withdraw. Buyers should be very careful to independently verify all “confirmed” information provided during the sales process.

He was very friendly, welcoming, and took the time to explain things clearly without making me feel pressured at all. He answered all my questions (even the basic ones!) and made the whole viewing feel relaxed and informative. As a first-time buyer, that made a big difference. Would definitely recommend if you’re new to the process and want someone approachable and helpful ??????

While they were representing the seller, they went above and beyond to help me as a buyer navigate what can often be a stressful and complex process. Communication throughout was timely and consistent — emails were answered promptly and viewings were always punctual. Whenever I had questions or needed clarification, they were quick to connect me with the right people to resolve any ambiguities, and they accommodated all of my information requests without hesitation. They were instrumental in helping me gather everything my lender required and in assisting my solicitor with their enquiries, which kept the process moving forward smoothly.
