He was extremely flexible with viewing times and was always happy to change appointments at short notice to suit our schedule. He had answers to all of our questions and, if he didn’t know something, made a point of getting back to us promptly. He listened carefully to our needs and only showed us apartments that genuinely matched what we were looking for. Terence was incredibly friendly and professional, and an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish.

He always goes out of his way to check in for updates on my mother's situation and makes sure I’m supported every step of the way, often offering further help without even being asked. It’s rare to come across someone who combines efficiency, reliability, and such a personable approach so effortlessly. A huge credit to the company, and yes, an added bonus that he’s very easy on the eye too. Outstanding service all round

2nd Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)On a Saturday afternoon my husband and I spotted an amazing property really eager to view immediately before we made an offer on another home. That’s where Robert Stubbs our agent with Hamptons came to our rescue finding us a slot stretching beyond his working hours. He allowed us to do a detailed view and did not rush us at all. It allowed us to imagine how our daily lives would flow in that home vs others we had seen. We appreciate his willingness to help and coming through at a short notice. He was lovely to interact with.
12th Feb 2026 (22 days ago)Update from previous review below: after so much hassle finally managed to complete our sale. I want to stress the fact that moat has been nothing but horrible. Anytime I wanted someone to chase their legal team I can never get anyone from moat to do this for me. Their response was 'Your solicitors need to do this' which obviously they have been however just never get any response or even get through the phone to them. Customer service is absolutely apauling and they have been nothing but difficult to get our sale sorted. Never go with moat or if you are dealing with these developers be prepared to be disappointed!<br><br>I been trying to get hold of the post sales team regarding our house sale and they have been nothing but a pain! Our solicitors haven't been able to get anywhere with them hence been trying to contact directly and Everytime you ring them, no one is available to take your call. You are told someone will get back to you in 5 days. It's an absolute joke!

Met with the manager Jay and detailed all of my requirements to him; he wrote everything down and assured me that Isabel would be in touch on Monday. Call and let a message for her as she never called on Monday; wrote her an email to explain the nature of my conversation with Jay, she did reply on Tuesday via email and said she would try to organize something else. She has not been in touch. Eight years on in 2025, they are still horrific. DO NOT USE THEM.
27th Jan 2026 (5 weeks ago)John Payne were great to work with throughout the process. They were proactive with communication and clearly put a lot of effort in behind the scenes. While there were a couple of moments where I had to follow up, overall they were responsive and helpful. For the price, I think they did a really good job and achieved the minimum price I was aiming for. They had excellent knowledge of the local area and presented the property well to potential buyers. I also appreciated their honesty and realistic approach, rather than over-promising and then revising expectations later on.
20th Feb 2026 (14 days ago)100+ Days of Disrepair and two weeks of Displacement – Incompetent Management<br><br>I am writing this as a warning to other tenants. We have been living with an active bathroom leak since it was first reported to Garrison Estates on November 11th, 2025. Despite 100+ days of notice, the property has been left in a state of disrepair that has now forced us out of our home.<br>We have been totally displaced for 12 days because the bathroom floor is saturated and unsanitary. After waiting weeks for a "planned" replacement, the management’s contractor failed the installation due to a basic "alignment issue"—resulting in the broken, leaking unit being reinstalled and us being told to wait even longer.<br>The lack of professional oversight, the use of incompetent contractors, and the disregard for statutory habitability (Landlord and Tenant Act 1985) is staggering for an agency with this rating. We are currently paying full rent (£2,350/month) for a property we cannot live in, while management offers excuses about "supplier timings" and "alignment."<br>Until this is resolved with a full repair and a fair rent rebate for our loss of amenity and displacement, we cannot recommend Garrison Estates. Prospective tenants: be wary of how your maintenance issues will be handled once you sign the contract.<br>From reading other reviews it seems this is not a one off.

Jean Vallesi was our agent, and he was superb in providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth move in. The experience with Jean and Chestertons was much smoother than any of the previous letting agencies I have dealt with, and would highly recommend them to assist anyone in finding their next home!
