24th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)After 4 years of no problems our landlord chose to switch to Darlows because they were offering “a better service for landlords”... not only did this turn out to be the exact opposite for our landlord but our family of 4 (2 adults + 2 children) had to suffer over and over before we eventually had enough and were forced to find another property to keep our family safe & warm. The staff were buck passers who never dealt with anything that involved effort, as a result our landlord paid thousands for a new boiler and repairs that were unnecessary and could have been avoided if action was taken as it should have been (boiler leaked for 3 days and brought a ceiling down - we could not stop the leak and no one knew where a stop tap was!!) this is just 1 example I can assure you there are many more just as bad, our landlord is taking further action and ultimately had to sell the property. We cannot emphasise enough that as a tenant or landlord you are taking a big risk by using Darlows! I am sure more will surface in time. You have been warned.

8th Jun 2021 (3 years ago)Atkons were very professional, helpful, giving good advice and friendly, they used gloves, masks and overshoes during the visits, also when showing potential purchasers around our property, when viewing other properties with other estate agents, we were allowed in with just masks on, walking on carpets without covers in outdoor shoes. We are very happy we sold our house through Aktons

We were always kept informed of appointments, active in sending the feedback and offers through , and there was always good communication between all members of the staff and ourselves. The staff went above and beyond to make the selling process as smooth as possible for us as the clients. I highly recommend them.
10th Feb 2023 (1 year ago)We’ve let a number of our properties, both locally (and throughout south Wales) via Matthew and his team at First 4 Rentals, for many years, and constantly received a professional, capable and friendly service. In over 25 years of dealing with various agents throughout Wales, First 4 Rentals is the only one I’ve ever been impressed with enough to write a public review. Their level of service, attention to detail, prompt communication and helpfulness is something that sets them apart from lesser agents. Over the years, Matthew has helped sort out everything that a remote landlord will encounter, and all with satisfactory outcomes, for both us, and the tenants. (We were always relived to know we had found a letting agent who supported and facilitated our goal of being a decent and fair landlord, always ensuring all aspects of the letting process were compliant, safe and secure for both parties) Additionally, their level of personal attention is exemplary. By way of example; we requested a swift turnaround on a vacant property in Cardiff city centre at then end of last week - today at 8am a comprehensive video inspection report arrived in my inbox! Having engaged and supported us with both sales and lettings, Matthew consistently delivers a first class service, and I have no hesitation in recommending his services to anyone needing a trusted partner in what, for many of us, can be a challenging arena.

I dealt mainly with Chloe and she was brilliant at communicating throughout the whole process, always returning calls or emails promptly and giving regularupdates. She actually saved me a big delay, due to my surveyors, by noticing they hadn't been in touch with the vendor after they told we they would be. Overall I would highly recommend.

31st Oct 2024 (12 weeks ago)I rang diamonds to enquire about a property to which I was sent an email of a questionnaire. I completed the questionnaire and sent it back & after a week I had no reply. I rang them to then be told that we won’t be getting a viewing due to not being selected. They could have at least notified us. I’ve had this experience multiple times when enquiring about a property with them. Will be staying clear of them in the future

23rd Oct 2024 (13 weeks ago)I’m absolutely devastated at the poor service I have received from the Caerphilly Peter Alan branch. I was accepted for a lovely home in Caerphilly and paid my holding deposit. Since I had sent the payment I tried contacting Peter Alan for documents and to collect the keys but had real difficulty getting any kind of response to move the process on. At this point I had given my notice in to my current landlord. They had called me today which is a week later to tell me that my offer had fallen through and that I will no longer be moving into the property. This Is an absolute disgrace as it’s left me without a place to live. I would strongly advise you not to use their terrible unprofessional services. I also imagine I’ll have difficulty in retrieving my deposit back. STAY CLEAR.

26th Sep 2024 (17 weeks ago)I rented a property from belvoir for 1 year. It was a nice house and our property manager Julia was lovely. We informed her about the tap & shower leak and the hole where the heater supposed to go but no repair has been done. We had taken house insurance as well. But we had a small burn on the vinyl flooring which was informed to belvoir on the day it happened. And they took 400 pound from our deposit. Fair enough, no complaints. But when my partner asked for their reference to move to a new house, belvoir showed their nasty behaviour and gave a bad reference so he didn’t get the house. It was clearly unprofessional and if it had costed more they could have taken more money off the deposit but after taking money and insurance this was very much uncalled for.

Once again Martin & Co live up to expectations in their area of expertise, managing to secure a sale in record time for my property where another agent wasn't able to. Henry and Astrid were both great to work with and got everything done with no fuss - and act as a great bridge between buyer and seller. Highly recommend.

Can't believe if you ask for a viewing after 5pm on a weekday or anytime at a weekend its virtually impossible! Not sarah - she did viewings 7 days a week. I'm sure she'd do viewings at 4am if I asked her! Really friendly and always kept in touch.

Wayne managed to get our property straight on the market and sold it first viewing, we are now in our forever home.
