We had an awful experience renting our house for 10 years with Strakers when we lived abroad. Our home turned from a beautiful place with a “wow factor” into a filthy mess with tens of thousands of pounds worth of damage under Strakers watch. After 5 years they replaced a competent manager with someone with zero experience and no common sense who told us that the place was in very good condition. We returned to find a huge mess. Complete disaster. Ruined my first time buyer experience. Messages were inappropriate asking to go out for drinks to celebrate and give me my keys. He got funny and defensive and told me I was ungrateful when I questioned why my property wasn't ready by the date he said it would be and that resulted in me being homeless for two weeks. Then I got the wrong keys two weeks later and it was late so I had to find somewhere else to sleep which also meant I had to delay my moving van because I had to arrange collection of correct keys in morning. I actually got my friend to get the keys because I felt too uncomfortable. It should have been exciting my first experience and Nest associates ruined that.... Read more
