We used Alexander Phillips to sell our house. Their business model tries to give you the best of the internet and the best of the local estate agent and in this they succeed pretty well. The fees are comparable to those online and with no hidden extras while the customer service, attention to detail and personal contact are as good or better than you’ll get from high street agents in this area. If you understand what estate agents can and can’t do for you (few estate agents are truly frank about this), you’ll find them excellent value for money. What’s more they’re nice people, very friendly with no big watches, flashy cars, shiny suits or pointy shoes.

I haven't got a huge amount to say about them, work got done when asked on the property, had a bit of trouble getting my deposit back from DPS and they were there to help me as much as they could to resolve it. The few negative I have I think we're from the landlord, considering the property was meant to be managed by them and the landlord was still super involved and would want to be there with any work done and would leave the property in a mess (including leaving screws on the floor) after work has been done. I would let from them again and would recommend. Especially since there are bigger estate agent companies that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole from how I have been treated in the past. Alexander Philips and Paige and Peter are lovely people and get the job done the best they can.

At the time of writing this review my company had received three 1 star reviews.

These reviews are totally unfair and unjust

Mr Petr Kucabe

We were very sympathetic to the tenants problem with the main drains backing up, however as soon as Mr Kucabe reported the problem we organised a contractor to resolve the issue within 12 hours. As for the other comments they are completely untrue, to the extent that Mr Kucabe vacated the property without giving notice and left the landlord out of pocket due to the mess and condition he left in the property. This was also confirmed by the Deposit Protection Service who awarded Mr Kucabe's full deposit in favour of the landlord.

Ruby Richards

Was a disgruntled tenant after the landlord tried to make a claim against her deposit when she vacated. Alexander Philips acted on behalf of the landlord and did advise him that his claim against a portion of the Ruby's deposit was unfair and he eventually agreed NOT to make any claim against her so her deposit was returned in full.
