Awful. Leaders does not follow up on anything. Buying a house was a total pain. I had to call and email on every aspect as they simply did not follow up with my requests or just got things wrong. The joint venture with life legal for money laundering was a shambles who then signed me up without consent for a legal plan. I told them so many times that I did not want any additional services.... Great service! I had almost lost any hope to find a rental property in Worthing but then I phoned Leaders and my bad luck turned around pretty quickly! Jade picked up my call, organized a viewing with less than 40 min notice and I ended up paying a holding deposit shortly after! I have to admit that Jade went above and beyond to arrange that viewing and in the weeks prior my moving, she has always reached out to me for any updates or to make sure I knew at which point paperwork/referencing was. All my queries were promptly answered and I received a very detailed report few days before moving in. Jade and her colleagues are very attentive and will make sure all the paperwork is completed on time. I was also welcome with a gift pack on the day of the key handover! Leaders were good up until the moving out process. My personal phone number was shared with a surveying company without my knowledge or consent. I would be curious to hear how Leaders explain this within the context of GDPR? This was to arrange a viewing as requested by our landlord's buyer - I was just a tenant renting and should not have had any external contact/involvement with a surveyor at all. When we moved out, Leaders didn't contact our landlords to discuss the return of our deposit until we called a week later to inquire about it. We found that nothing had been done at all. We had to work with our landlords to get to the next stage of the process, three of us emailing and calling several agents to move forward. It took a total of 4 weeks to get our deposit back, despite contacting Leaders regularly to get them to fulfil every stage. Leaders were extremely difficult and offered no kind of assurance, sympathy or acknowledgement of our situation. They kept blaming the slow process on our landlords, saying they couldn't see emails that were sent and sitting in their inbox for days, and then suddenly finding them when we called multiple times. Messages that should've been passed on were not - communication and customer service here is practically non-existent. Our property manager was also never available for whatever reason, and nobody was assigned to take over. This meant that we had to phone a total of 17 times across the space of 3 weeks to actually get somewhere. At the final stage of the process we received an email saying they had to speak to our landlords AGAIN to get confirmation of the deposit release in writing - which was sent three times 2 weeks prior to this, AND had been approved by an agent! We've had an awful experience with Leaders during a time which is stressful as it is. Not once did we receive an apology for the trouble they put us through, or for their incompetence. We are baffled with their poor customer service and lack of professionalism and will never be using Leaders again.... Read more

If you are a tenant, avoid this agents if you want to keep your deposit after your tenancy. My tenancy checkout was managed by J D who is not acting in good will from our perspective. The checkout vs inventory reports was hilarious, in the inventory only general and no close up photos were taken while in the checkout report they photos were 30cm away from the object to give the impresion that minimal wear is damage. Originally we were offered the use of a platform call depositary were the landlord ask the deductions and tenants give the opportunity to accept or contraoffer. The landlord were asking to deduct from the deposit the redecoration of the flat, we provided evidences that we are not liable for this as the paint work in the flat was poor when we moved in and we did not make it any worse. After a couple of interactions we received the notification from the depositary app that the landlord had agreed our contraoffer and that the refund will be processed. After a couple of days I noted that the status had changed again and the agent had archived our case in the app without any refund to be sent!! I called J D a number of times over the phone with no response! I managed to get a response by email suggesting me to use the TDS dispute. I asked how is it possible that he didn't refund the deposit straightway after the landlord accepted my contraoffer and allowed two days for the landlord to change his mind. Also after this, instead of keeping the checkout in the depositary app, he archived the case here without reason as noted above! My surprise didn't end here, today I have received an email, asking for an additional £300 for items noted in the checkout that were not requested as deductions originally in the depositary app and the landlord had noted that he was OK with it in previous correspondence! As we have enough evidences we are confident that we should be receiving it back via TDS dispute, but it is a nightmare for a working family with a 14months baby, we needed the deposit back soon we are still waiting since 27/02. We did not deserve this as we always acted in good will with landlord and agents.... Read more

I have been trying to find a rental property for months but, in a busy market, it's very competitive and properties go quickly. I was thrilled yesterday when I called and managed to book a viewing on a property. I was offered 3 different slots, chose one, and was told the viewing was booked and that I would be sent a virtual tour by email. I was instructed to watch the virtual tour and then respond re-confirming I was happy to view the property in person. The process seemed very professional. Compared to other agents I've experienced. The trouble is, when I sent my email confirmation, I was then sent an email back saying all of the slots were taken and I can no longer view the property. When they were managing the renting of a house I purchased neighbours say they were useless. Strong winds blew the gate off and was reported by both sides yet they never came to repair. Now looking at the electrics it looks like they may have left them, with tenants in, in a dangerous state. A plug under the sink, hanging. How did any electrician sign that off? It blew the other day from burning & water and it wasn't even in use. The "forms" given have an electrician signature on them. What electrician would sign that off in its danagerous state?
