I will not be able express how grateful I am for all the hard work, dedication and support these guys gave me! If you want a company to work hard for you and get your sale though, KFH is the only company to go with. Special mention to Laura Maikovaite who is absolutely the person you need to help with your house sale/purchase. She has been informative, helpful, diligent, supportive and just the right level of friendly, and ALWAYS professional and polite.
Many people are uncomfortable to leave a negative review with their names, however, our experience was so dreadful with this unprofessional agency that we would like to share it with others. The property we've recently bought was solely marketed by this agency so we didn't have a choice but to try and work with them. However, the whole office is unbelievably incompetent. First of all, your private details are handled carelessly resulting in us gaining regular access to their other clients' private data (both vendors and buyers) both via e-mail and postal letters. Think carelessly copied in e-mails from other clients, postal letters addressed to other clients attached to ours in the same envelope. Once could be a mistake but this happening numerous times via both methods raises serious concerns.
Second, as we already had our mortgage sorted and our chain was very short and all freehold we requested the exchange date to be within 9 weeks from acceptance of offer (this is a perfectly acceptable amount of time) so we could avoid paying another 2.5 months of rental fee unnecessarily. Vanessa claimed that our request is impossible and set up the exchange date 10 weeks after the offer got accepted. Ironically, about 10 days before their chosen exchange date they started to harass us to exchange asap as everyone in the chain was apparently ready to sign immediately. When we refused to bring the dates ahead due to them being ignorant about our needs earlier we've been put under incredible and completely unnecessary pressure with their constant calls, e-mails (even to our solicitor to convince us!!) pushy attitude and agressive tactics. To the point, that I had to switch phone numbers for a week to avoid repeating ourselves the 10th time about our refusal of a last minute change of the date that they forced on us in the first place. And to the point that we got very close to pulling out of the whole purchase just to get rid of this horrible agency. No doubt, had we found another suitable property at that point we would have pulled out without thinking twice.
Thirdly, despite all the stress they caused to try and bring the exchange date earlier last minute "due to everyone was ready", guess what.. on the named exchange day the exchange had to be cancelled due to the rest of the chain not even being ready with their paperwork. It's a wonder that the purchase actually happened in the end.
Having used many estate agents in the past I can honestly say Capital is the very best. The staff at the Bromley office are extremely professional and know the business inside and out. I have very high standards and nothing was too much trouble, i valued there advice and they not only sold my property quickly without a reduction but found me my dream house. Everything went smoothly and i was kept up to date with the progress at all times!
What more can i say but a massive thank you.
Had some concerns at first however after raising the issues with rob the manager he was happy to help and adress any issues and has since given me his personal contact should i have any further issues. Greatly appreciated his input.
Very good service provided. Initial marketing advice and predicted property value was accurate. Lisa kept us updated on progress with the sale and ensured all parties were regularly informed.
We were going through a property purchase and sale with Alan de Maid in Beckenham. The day before we were due to exchange, the agent notified us that the purchase of the property we were buying would not proceed. It transpires that they withheld information from us and did not act in our best interests. As a result, we've lost time and money not to mention the undue stress this has caused us as a family.
Given the circumstances, we asked the branch manager to waive the 28 day termination period (a small ask in our opinion) but he refused so we've now raised a formal complaint.
They failed to treat us fairly, do the right thing and act with integrity. Needless to say we would not use this agent to purchase or sell a property again.
Very good and friendly attitude with obvious effort to help with my specific queries. One woman in the office made the difference to me, pointing to the right direction and communication on 100% just as it should be everywhere .
Confidently can recommend !
This has been a joke! I moved into a managed property 2 years ago and since then we have at least 3 different property managers. I would email with an issue only to get a response a month later that the person was not working there anymore and no one would ever follow it up!! When moving out of the property on the day of the check-out, I sent a formal request for the return of the deposit and still to this day A MONTH later, we haven't received anything. I have been calling and emailing and I've been ignored and lied to. I'm very disappointed in the service as Doug was really nice when he showed us the house 2 years ago.
Great team at Langford Russell. Had prompt, expert service, especially from Bradley Gilchrist. He made my move possible and was there for me every step of the way.
Worst letting agency in Bromley, Staff are rude, they assume that everyone is poor but i am way richer than all these poor people prentending to be rich at this letting agency. Horrible service do not use them ! they are fakers !
A special "thank you" to Oliver Pettman who acted professionally and politely at all times. He is a credit to your company and deserves to go far! I wish you every success for the future.
Sorry for the nice people working there, but what a disaster of a company!
We found the flat we wanted through L&R, but looking run down. Offered the landlord to repaint it providing he does his share of works, like replacing a broken glass window overhanging the door way, removing the black mould impregnated all over the worktop, etc. We were promissed it would be done. The day we were given the keys, we realized that absolutely nothing had been done, that the unfurnished flat was left with old broken furniture and belongings, a gas canister abandoned outside hidden behind the shed, flush not working, boiler leaking, no inventory was ever made, nobody visited the flat after the previous tenant left.
We found another flat since, but we will never go close to Langford & Russell ever again.
