JUST NO!!!
Absolutely shocking organisation. They failed to give a permit parking to a resident and refused to explain why this was not issued when every other resident was recent issued one.
On confirmation and questions I asked Neil, one of the owners, claimed to not know anything. Or the procedures.
Questions were asked to confirm when refunds/ payments would be made but he avoided questions and instead accused me of being problematic.
This is a tiny example of how this company fails to be compliant, supportive out of numerous incidences that have taken place over the years.
They have no accountability, complete avoidance of responsibility.
Do not come here, as they are hugely prejudicial and terrible at their jobs.

Anthony is a dishonest man. His team, including Lucy Neil, have been awful to deal with. They scam tenants and never fix any issues or escalate them to the landlord. Very dishonest bunch who should be avoided.

I usually do not bother myself to review things, unless I am asked or things are just too bad. This agency should be banned from a letting business. They are literally operating by providing illegal certificates, fake information and letting flats, that do not have a very basic living standards! Please, take my word and avoid these people as much as you can, because this review will be too long to describe in detail, what are they putting their tenants through.Once they got your money, you will be ignored for ever. Terrible people, including their rude, racist and "don't care" attitude staff lady called Gisem, who was half an hour late to the viewing without even excusing, and made awful judging comments. AVOID!!!

Totally a scam company that they wash hands and they take off their shoulders the responsibilities and duties as an estate agency and they doesn’t care about any of your rights as a tenant even when you pay always your rent on time as a direct debit . They gave me and my wife eviction notice just 9 days before end of contract just because we asked landlord to fix the house which we were promised to be fixed before we moved in.
Guys if you want to pay for more headache , stress and depression they’re the right people to get involved with .

AVOID THIS AGENCY, IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LIFE, FAMILY AND MENTAL HEALTH!
Me and my pregnant wife were evicted from the flat for asking agency owner Anthony Brennan to confirm in writing, that before we going to sign the contract for another year with massive rent increase, we would like our shower finally to be repaired, as landlord delayed it for all 12 months of us living there, let alone the fact, our first moving in was delayed by couple of weeks, with fake promises about "works to be done in the shower". No fault section 21 evction notice was probably the quickest and fastest thing they ever done! All other emails about the massive problems in the flat of 2k rent, or negotiations about the contract, would be picked up and responded not earlier than in 2-3 weeks!!!!
But listen to this- now they charging us the whole deposit over two thousand pounds, for the items, that were agreed to be removed from the flat prior our moving in. It is written by them black on white and its shocking how they lie into your face trying to steal your money and dragging the time! We are going to court to prove it, but for your own sanity- AVOID THIS AGENCY!

1 star is too much for this establishment, the worst estate agent known to man, I would not trust them at all, kept over 50% of out deposit for a small stain on the carpet, and charged us for a professional cleaning service at the end of the tenancy, when it was never cleaned when we first moved in, I got the entire flat pained before moving out but charges as for marks on the wall. They will invade your privacy with unannounced property visits and use the set of key they hold to gain entry.
Very very bad communication. I would head for the hills if I came across them again

We moved to a nice flat. The whole moving part was seamless and the agent (Gizem) helped us along the way. The only negative thing I experience was the amount of documents you need to fill yourself without the help of Anthony Charles. Other than that it was great.

Our rental agency Anthony Charles took care of and guided us carefully throughout the entire rental process. Ms. Gizem Ciftci took care of us at every stage during the viewing and rental process of the property and successfully managed the process between us and the landlord. During the documentation process, the management team shared the relevant documents for the house with us and took our feedback into account while preparing important documents such as inventory check. Awful!!! We are having the worst times renting through them. Once we signed the contract, Anthony Charles was gone. They keep ignoring us and treating us with biggest disrespect ever. They knew the landlord for years and they knew what was happening in the flat, that they letting to us. Unfortunately, they washed their hands off and we are left with an experience, that I wouldn't wish to an enemy...Avoid this agency, if you can.

Had a bad experience during a viewing with
the lettings agent, Gizem. She was so cold, unfriendly, nonchalant, just unprofessional. She even didn't bother showing me the flat. I had to view it by myself as she was on the phone and then in the hallway. I tried to engage the conversation but my questions seemed bothering her and seemed fed up to be there. Even not a "good bye" when I left. I would had made an offer if she was friendlier, but no way I would be able to collaborate with someone like her!

I have received a call from one lady about flat to rent and I can say that they are not polite agents and not even let you ask any questions ( they just hung up the phone without listening you… happen 2 times to me last 1 month. I would love to talk to the owner of the company probably doesn’t know about this.

I and my partner have been looking for a property in London and we have interracted with a lot of different agent/agencies but Anthony Charles, especially estate agent Gizem is the BEST. I'm not sure whose fault this was but my viewing was rescheduled at the last hour due to which I had to rearrange the plans. And on travelling for an hour, there was noone at the address - no agent and no tenant. I waited for 20 minutes and tried reaching out tot hem but noone picked the call.
Extremely unprofessional services in the only experience I've had with them.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Neil at Anthony Charles for a number of years both as a landlord and to sell properties.
He stands out for his honesty and ability to rise to whatever curved balls may arise.
All of the staff are courteous and responsive and I would never conduct a property deal without Anthony Charles.
No false promises or over inflated estimates. Just the truth and very nice people to deal with!

Shop around. Better companies out there. Be very wary with this place. instigate rent hikes with the landlord and then play victim about it and generally hide behind their terminology. way over priced (compared to Other renters in the same apartments) and a classic example of why London’s rent extortion is so bad with companies like this about

I contacted them for a flat advertisement in Zoopla, the agent that called me was extremely rude. She was asking questions like an interrogation like if we are kids or something, Implying that I couldn't afford it.
Meanwhile my current salary exceeds the requirements by far, my current rent is higher than the specific flat, I could even pay in advance months and having excellent references. All this before I even see the flat.
My suggestion avoid this agency for the rudeness they have.

Really bad experience a couple of weeks back trying to view property through this company. We called to book a viewing and received a call back from the agent Rebecca asking us to meet her outside the property a few days later. When we did, we waited for 20 minutes and she never showed up. After multiple attempts of calling Anthony Charles, I finally got through and was greeted by a rude and condescending man who sarcastically said to me “have you tried knocking on the door?” To which I said to him we were asked to wait outside. He said he’d contact the agent; and we agreed to knock on the door. Turns out the tenant hadn’t even been told that people were coming to view the property that day!! Anthony Charles had failed to mention it to him that anyone was coming over, which is a huge red flag, especially if they are managing the property! We then emailed Rebecca, tried calling back, to no avail. To this day, not even a reply or a call back saying sorry. Avoid this company!!

I am tenant of one of their property for almost 3 years and always care about my flat and neighbours and always make it on time for payment. Recently i was looking for another flat from this agency for my brother unfortunatley they don't respect to customers at all and after viewing flat and accept the deals they said to us somebody put deposite after a week. How could be possible we were first viewer?! And we had deals about it. They wasting our time more than a week and even they didn't phone us to let us know about it. I just phoned them and asked them about it, so that's not fair! They are so slow to respond and this is annoying. We totaly disappointed!!!

During my 15 years renting in London this has been the worst state agent I've ever had. They failed to mention the property I rented has asbestos and now we have to live with it or move again. Also, as other reviews mentioned they are incredibly slow to respond to any query. I told them we have leaks in the garage roof months ago and still hasn't been fixed. Given my experience and after reading all the reviews it totally feels like most of the positive reviews are fake so be aware.

I don't know where to start, I didn't know incompetence could be run this high!
We are tenants through Charles Anthony. There are some issues, but C. Anthony just don't bother to respond to those issues.
They explain to me that as a tenant i'm not their customer only the Landlord is. From my point of view as a tenant you should try to avoid these people but in special avoid any collaboration with Rebeca. She will promise you everything but give you nothing and is very slow to respond. My next step is to get in contact with the Landlord and then making a serious complaint.

Personally experienced all the negative moments described in other reviews, which makes me feel that positive reviews are fake! Made an offer for rental property (asking price!) day after it appeared to be that offer was not even sent to landlord. After, I was offered to pay non-returnable deposit immediately - without seeing the agreement. NONE of the changes are impossible to made to the agreement so be careful, agreement of course covers to the fullest the agency and landlord. Wasted over a week of my time for such "negotiations" with Rebecca, who first seemed to be very friendly. None of the alternatives offered, agency never showed themselves caring about customers (no calling back, make you wait without any explanations for few days for the reply, your agent is away from the office for few days - no one covers her, now imagine if this your managing agency and you waiting for plumber, they don't have even the deadline how long the could deal with any issue). Horrible waste of time.

Cancelled my move after informing me that I can move in when I return from my holiday. Customer service very poor as well. Did not even try to offer alternatives. I now have no where to go when I return.
As a prospective customer I felt that my business was not valued. Disappointing.

As a tenant, I have dealt with many estate agents over the years and my experience at Anthony Charles was one of the best I've had. They combine professionalism, making sure that everything is done properly, and great personal touch. Rebecca Gerondaes, who helped me with my flat, put no pressure on me when I wasn't sure whether to take the flat or not to begin with, and then did everything possible to move forward my move-in date to suit me when I finally did decide to take it! I really felt like she cared about me as a person and that I find my ideal home. Really great service and highly recommended.
