Stewart acted as my surveyor to extend my lease and negotiate with the leaseholders solicitors. He has been extremely helpful, answering all of my questions promptly and keeping me up to date as things progressed. I would have no hesitation in recommending the services of Austin Gray. All of my interactions with Stewart and his team have given me confidence in their company and shown a high degree of integrity and transparency.

I would avoid Young Lee / Austin Grey like the plague. I rented a property from them a few years ago; the service and hidden charges were shocking. Young Lee is a shining example of why people dislike and don't trust estate agents.

I viewed a property that was advertised as having shower, which could be seen in the flat upon viewing. However, after signing the 6 month contract I arrived at the property to find the shower had been taken out. Young Lee stated it was something to raise with the landlord. The fact they didn't mention it to me before I signed the contract left me trapped in a 6 month contract I didn't want to be in. Had I known in advance I wouldn't have signed. This dishonest and underhand action suggests they either cannot be trusted or they are incompetent.

To add insult to injury, when the contract ended I put a deposit down on another property and needed a reference from Young Lee. Young Lee charged £25 for the reference and then wouldn't issue it because they hadn't done an inspection. On top of that they wouldn't come out to do an inspection, despite taking my money. This meant I was at risk of losing my deposit on the new property. Fortunately the landlady agreed to come and inspect, after some considerable persuasion, and completed the reference. Young Lee kept the £25.

Looking back, I should have taken Young Lee to a small claims court for not informing me that changes had been made to the property since the viewing and before the contract signing; this ultimately resulted in me having to pay all the associated charges with having to move again.

So please be aware of this info before having any dealings with Young Lee as a tenant. I wouldn't like them to cause anyone else the level of stress and anxiety they caused me.
