I expected Bourne to be like any other agents we’ve dealt with, but they proved me wrong!
The whole team have been very warm and friendly; Gemma, Andrew & Ayisha. Each of them answered any questions and gave us guidance throughout the purchase.
Gemma recommended some Solicitors to us, along with an excellent Surveyor. Her advice has been really useful.
Overall the whole process has been fairly smooth and trouble-free thanks to the team at Bourne. Highly recommended.

The first property we went directly to the landlord for support and occasionally spoke with Bourne if needing guidance or advice. I would give this estate agent 0 stars. They have no understanding of how their actions and lack of transparency affects their customers. I felt bullied, disrespected and lied to for my 5 month ordeal in purchasing a home with them. And then to be told that they are putting the home back on the market. I have fed back to this estate agent as a whole and had no apology but instead was made to feel as if I was in the wrong for not using their recommended solicitor. Shame on them as they truly failed to understand how much this has affected me and my mental health. I don’t want to name and shame who this agent was , but she knows who she is. Bourne in my eyes is all about business and a lack of empathy. Disgraceful and be warned!

Roanna in bourne was genuinely fantastic. She was really friendly and helped me out with the portal my solicitor used when I got stuck. Several times! When my buyer pulled out, she pulled all the the stops out to get another buyer for me asap before I lost the house I’d absolutely set my heart on! Between her and Lou they secured me another buyer in a matter of days. She was helpful the whole way through but was also honest when everyone in my chain was pushing for an earlier date she gave me a more realistic time frame but still managed to secure an easier date! I would ???? use them again. Not that I plan to move again anytime soon!!!

Blown away by the level of hard work provided by Bourne (with special thanks to Phoebe) during our house sale. From the start they were absolutely brilliant, with lots of viewings booked in and getting helpful feedback after each. After accepting an offer we were kept well informed and given guidance where needed (our first time selling a property). Towards the end, when the transaction became quite stressful, the support to myself and the work put in by Phoebe was amazing. I’m sure that without her, it still wouldn’t have gone through. Andrew and his team enabled us to complete on the sale of my mother-in-law's bungalow in Alton. From the start, Andrew was very enthusiastic about the property and its location and this was a primary factor in appointing Bourne, as other estate agents were also very interested but maybe not quite as excited at the prospect. The professional advice that he offered surprised us but he turned out to be 100% right: the bungalow was sold to a family who fell in love with the plot rather than the developer we had imagined would buy it. This was an unexpected - but considerably better - outcome and we are grateful to Bourne for enabling it. Andrew, Gemma and team were very responsive to all of our calls and emails throughout the sale process and proved to be effective conduits between the buyers and ourselves, on the tiny matters as well as the huge. However once the purchase had been agreed, they went over an above what I'd expect from an Estate Agents, facilitating various requests and helping to moving things forward swiftly. So far Bourne Estate Agents have made numerous mistakes costing me time and money. Each time they have justified themselves rather than owning up to their mistakes. It's a real shame because some things they do well, like their inventory reports and finding tenants, but sadly it doesn't balance out the things that have gone wrong as a property owner.

Gemma at Bourne really stood out as very professional and well informed about the property I was viewing. Gemma provided lots of information about the property, the local area, and the neighbourhood, and she knew everything off the top of her head.
She pointed out things proactively and had answers before I needed to ask. She was very open about the status of the chain and the sellers, whereas sometimes this can be unnecessarily secretive.
I’ve had so many other viewings with other agents where they have no information about the property to hand, they can’t answer even simple questions, and don’t even bother to properly show you around.
So it was very refreshing to have such a great viewing.

She's been professionally, diligent and friendly the whole time, nothing was a bother and she has always been so helpful. It feels like talking to a friend rather than an agent. She has completely changed our view on estate agents and I couldn't recommend her or Bourne more from the experience we've had. We are still searching, but have no doubt the team will find our perfect home (again!).

I originally enquired about a property that had already been let, but instead of ignoring my request like most letting agents do, Roanna emailed me with 2 alternatives that were a similar location and spec which I had enquired about. Booked in a viewing for both, as they were both part of the same building. Jayne met me on the day and as the properties were so similar, it was so hard to choose between them, so I asked to view the first one again, and she happily obliged. Jayne was confident, knowledgable, friendly and attentive to what I required and that I needed to move very soon and reasurred me that she could make it happen.
I took one of the flats and all the paperwork went through without a hitch with both Roanna and Jayne keeping me up to date with everything as it progressed.
As I moved into a new build, there were a few teathing problems, but again, both of the ladies were fantastic in their responses to emails and phonecalls, with nothing being too much hassle for them.
I have rented many properties, and the team at Bourne have definitely been the easiest and most friendly agents to deal with, takes a whole lot of stress out of moving! Thanks ladies, its much appreciated!

This agent handled the sale of an unusual, but not straightforward period property and subsequent purchase of a new-build, retirement apartment for my father. Dad is 83 years old and at the time of the sale/purchase, was recently widowed. Gemma and Andrew at Bourne couldn't have treated him with more care, respect, sensitivity and kindness throughout and we couldn't fault their professionalism. They were truly superb with all our family; going way above and beyond what you would normally expect from an estate agent. Moving at any time of life is stressful, but we'd recently lost my mother. Mum and Dad had been married for 53 years, so the move was extremely emotional. The sale ended up as part of quite a long chain. Everyone in a chain has their own needs and agenda and this was no exception. Several times it came close to collapsing and a few of the people in our chain were excessively demanding, inflexible and unreasonable, bordering on neurotic, but I can honestly say if it weren't for Gemma and Andrew the chain would have collapsed. They were diligent, tenacious, courteous and hardworking. Their marketing of my father's property was spot on and they quickly grasped our needs. More importantly they got way in excess of what two other local agents had valued the house at. We felt other agents had undervalued the property for a quick sale, but Bourne were open and honest with us about what we could (and indeed did) achieve. We can't fault them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend their company.

I've moved many times in my life and have experienced some top estate agents (and some REALLY bad ones). Bourne estate agents Alton are 100% top of my list. I've never experienced such personal and professional service. Every phone call was responded to, even if Gemma Miller (my contact), was absent. You feel you can deal with the entire branch even though assigned to an individual. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience with the team at Bourne (Alton Branch). Throughout the whole process they were honest and kept us informed of the latest status of the Purchase/Sale chain. If there were any issues Gemma let us know and was always there to try and sort out the problem, or had already put the phone call in, above and beyond what they needed to. Thank you for making a very stressful process less stressful.
