Homes did not manage to sell our property. They did not vet potential buyers at all it appears. Vast majority of viewers had not sold their own property and in some cases were not even on the market themselves. Homes dropped the asking price twice and even then the only offer we received was more than 10% under the reduced asking price.

Brilliant personal service - left no stone unturned to help us find our new home, sell our current home, and in particular, helping get the chain through to exchange - which wasn't an easy task. Wouldn’t recommend if looking to rent we had a issue our end and sadly failed the checks
because of a unlawful ccj from 4years ago that was settled and the insurance never removed the ccj by accident and they wouldn’t even give a a week to resolve the issue after finding out what it was a day later we are now homless

Start to finish a 5 star experience. Justin took his time in listening to what I wanted and needed regarding my sale, communicated every detail to his team. My house had an offer within hours and Justin took time to talk all options through with me without any pressure or prejudice.

I do not normally leave reviews but in this instance I feel I must. The whole team at Homes Alton have been excellent. I mainly dealt with Abbie for the purchase of a property and although always acting nothing but professional she also struck that perfect balance of also being very friendly. She was always polite, very prompt for viewings and arrived with property knowledge having done her homework. As a local lawyer, it is always a pleasure to work with Homes Estate Agents, Alton. The team (Rob, Justin, Liana, Abbie, Gemma and Jake) are always on hand to ensure that the conveyancing process is as smooth as possible for all involved- myself included! Good communication is vital in conveyancing and Homes Estate Agents excel in this regard. This was my first time selling a property as it was time to move up the property ladder into my second home so the selling side was a whole new world to me. I could not have asked for a better team than the guys at Homes and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Some of the other estate agents I spoke to in the area were incredibly pushy and were clear it was all about their figures rather than what was best for the client but Homes never once pushed me or put pressure on me, always had my best interests at heart and let me make decisions in my own time.
From the moment Rob first came to value my property up until when I exchanged contracts the team have been a huge support and guided me through the process with their wealth of knowledge.
I knew I could call them at anytime to ask a question even if it was sometimes probably a silly question, the team would always go out their way to help me and help things make sense.
I lost my first buyer a week before exchanging contracts and it risked me losing my perfect second home but Liana, Gemma and the rest of the team went above and beyond to support me through the incredibly stressful situation and found me another buyer within a couple of weeks.
I have now exchanged contracts on my sale and am very happy in my new home and I certainly wouldn’t have got here without the team at Homes.
I am so grateful for all the team at Homes have done and I certainly wouldn’t use anyone else but them when I decide to brave the moving process again! Highly recommend them if you want an estate agent that has your best interests in mind as well as getting your property sold within a timely manner.

We sold and bought and property through Homes Estate Agents and I cannot praise them enough for the level of service and knowledge they showed us through the process.
Our house was sold within a few weeks, and they also managed to secure us our onward home soon after. They did this by listening to our needs and ensuring expectations were met.
Justin Robinson and Elysia Hawkes particularly should be mentioned as they're whom we had direct experience with and could not go above and beyond enough for us.

I used Homes Estate Agents, very helpful at first when they want your money but once you want to move out, they will do everything in their power to help the landlord hold onto your money regardless of any damage/how clean you left the property. From the outset, Homes were approachable and helpful with my search for a property to rent. Gemma and Rosie are the first agency people that I've engaged with in town who I've felt were on 'my side' as a tenant and they, without doubt, helped me secure our lovely new home. After 6 years in my property (sold to me by Homes), it was time for pasture new. Having bought my house form Homes Estate Agents, I thought it best for them to sell it.
With a competitive price, they were instructed to sell on our behalf. I am not going to lie, the process was long (9 months) this was not the fault of Homes, but the uncertainty in the market due to Brexit and 3 other properties with bigger gardens and different lay outs on the same road.
Through this time, Homes continued to get people people through the door, had new photos taken to refresh the look, which is always difficult when empty, a new approach for marketing and did not take their foot off the gas to get the property sold.
A special thanks to the whole team, who did what they do best to get my property sold, at the price i wanted and a good value.
i would highly recommend homes and the team, who are always there with a smile.

HI we have used homes to sell 2 houses in the last 2 years and they have made the process less stressful and smooth running than any other agent we have ever used, and we have moved six times since 1976 in Alton. The front office staff impress with there in depth local knowledge and professional approach, also the progression team working away in the background make every think happen and are on hand to make sense of the legal process and survey mortgage jargon. As we all now 2020 has been a difficult year to say the least yet Homes still delivered for us, special mention to Charles and Liana who were on the case for us. Best Wishes and keep safe

Homes have dealt with our sale and purchase very professionally, right from James and Charles in the sales team to Tina in the sales progression team. I felt like they were always honest and always doing what was best for us. 10 weeks from sale agreed to completion on a sale and purchase is pretty good going and I certainly feel a lot of this is down to the persistence of Tina and the team.
I would definitely recommend Homes and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Having just returned to the UK from living overseas, I contacted Homes Estate Agents to have them assist me in my rental property search in and around the Alton area. I was assisted by a lovely young woman named Rosie Wallace, who showed me several properties over a period of months, and I found her to be a very positive, knowledgeable and helpful individual. Whilst I have ultimately decided to "buy" a property on the Isle of Wight, I would like to applaud Rosie for her efforts and tenacity throughout the time I worked with her. I would most definitely refer people to her. She was one of the very few positive "shines" on an otherwise frustrating process.

With challenges along the way, Homes displayed experience and professionalism in keeping the entire chain together throughout an extended period and delivering a completion that satisfied all parties involved.

HOMES Estate Agents -THE LISTENING AGENT.
We were moving from Kent to Alton so every viewing meant a long journey. With some agents it was a wasted journey and when we saw the property, clear they hadn't listened to what we wanted.
Sally Sanders really listened to what we wanted in a property and only showed us relevant properties. We knew the journey was worth making.
Who, selling their property really wants dozens of people viewing their house when it isn't at all what the buyer wants and there is no chance they will buy it.
Far better to employ an agent who does only two or three viewings but all three want to buy it.
AN AGENT WHO LISTENS TO THE BUYER IS EXCELLENT NEWS FOR THE SELLER.
HOMES were very professional,totally committed to finding us the property we wanted and in future we will choose them for buying and selling.

I have been really impressed by HOMES. Every single person I have dealt with has been friendly and pleasant. Nothing has been too much trouble. I was always aware how hard everyone was working to sell my property... right down to helping build the chain. It feels wrong to single anyone out, but, having had a less good experience elsewhere, one of the first things I said to Ben was that I don't cope well with pushy people and he NEVER pushed. The team at Homes were AMAZING from start to finish and we can't recommend using them enough. Ben viewed our property and quickly got it on the market. Where another well known local agent failed to secure us viewings despite promising they had 'numerous' clients lined up waiting to buy our house - blaming the market constantly, Homes worked tirelessly and came through. Instead of sending non-buyers round to make up viewing numbers, they worked tirelessly to secure serious buyers. Sally worked with our buyer doing a second viewing at extremely short notice to seal the deal and we can't thank her enough. Homes also secured us the property we are now buying. Charles and Rob liaised with the home owner and made the process of buying as painless as it could be; providing regular updates by phone and reassuring emails. The team at Homes are brilliant, it is a hard market at the moment and they work honestly and hard to deliver the best service they possibly can. It is a difficult job and they do it brilliantly. I am only giving 1 star as you cant give 0. We had a terrible experience trying to purchase and sell a property through Homes. Bad timekeeping, giving inconsistent information to us as a buyer and the vendor, lack of communication. We found this estate agent to care more about the volume of houses they had for sale rather than the quality of the viewers sent through the door. it was very stressful while trying to sell with them so moved to an alternative estate agent who did a fantastic job. I would personally not be able to recommend Homes to anyone.

Over a period of eighteen months Homes Estate Agents helped me sell my house and buy another. Throughout the whole process all staff in both Petersfield and Alton offices were unfailingly helpful and supportive, and despite various setbacks worked tirelessly on my behalf. We've had some fairly horrific experiences with Estate Agents in Alton, Hampshire in the past, but Homes are by far the best I've come across over the years. They cover all bases when moving and take the stress away from the process. The specific Sales Progression team are pure genius and a make a real difference to ensuring the legal and mortgage process are followed through.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Homes to anyone.

Brilliant service and I would highly recommend them. The additional sales progression service (once our house was sold) was worth its weight in gold, handed all issues (even difficult ones) smoothly and without fuss which made the process very easy and stress free. I haven't seen this level of service with other estate agents. The actual sale was handled extremely professionally with some great creative ideas to achieve our target price and it sold quickly. Overall, the value was well worth the more than reasonable cost and I would definitely use Homes again.

I was lucky enough to sell and buy through Homes and can't recommend them highly enough. From the offset their positive 'can do' attitude was so helpful and supportive. I was in a very long chain which took quite a long time to bring to completion but the team worked tirelessly to get me there and kept me in the loop every step of the way.
Nothing was too much trouble, they were always at the end of the phone to deal with my questions and concerns no matter how small.
I would recommend Homes to anyone who would like as stress free move as possible.
Thank you so much to all the staff in the Petersfield and Alton branches who were so brilliant in helping me to get where I am today!

Terrible experience renting a property from start to finish- late to attend a viewing, bringing the wrong keys, loosing paperwork, not putting down the right deposit amounts (by a few hundred!), giving the wrong timescales for moving-in, not sending documents on time, not having tenancy agreements ready, loosing the keys again, giving us the wrong details for the property management company, and sending us vital information almost two weeks late. We now have the perfect home but I won't be going near Homes again.

Just finished the process of selling my Mother in Laws retirement flat through Homes – What a great company to do business with – The whole team were engaging responsive and aware of the situation. They kept me informed every step of the way and kept constant contact with the purchasers to understand any complexities. They regularly engaged with my solicitor and kept my involvement to an as needed basis.
Fees were very reasonable and I have had a stress free sale which is worth so much more.
Special mention to Sue who looked after the whole process.
If you want to use an Estate agent in Alton choose Homes.
