Can't speak highly enough of Adam and Ben at the Alton office. Superb service, and with a faultless professional approach. Well done !
We were well looked after by Hamptons (Ben was our agent). They showed us round as requested and were willing to let us have another couple of accompanied viewings, one with a tape measure after exchange.
We liked the details provided of the propertyl and on completion day all went smoothly.
I would defiinitely recommend them for buying or selling.
The only reason I haven't given 5* is that the vendor would ideally have moved soonerand asked for an earlier completion date after I though a date had been agreed but before exchange , but all understood that due to our purchasers request for a original agreed date and a recent bereavement meaning it was impossible to bring the completion date to sooner, so we did have a longer than usual time between exchange and completion and we were not pressed on this once we asserted we needed to hold to this completion date. Thanks a lot Hamptons
A friendly, helpful and professional team. Great communication throughout the process of becoming tenants locally, and always readily available. A special thanks to Ryan Parks who oversaw the letting process.
Horrendous. Currently renting from them and have nothing but problems. Any faults that occur on a Thursday or Friday always have to wait until mid week the following week to remedy (I say this lightly, as most faults won't be fixed).
Georgina is really helpful and tries her best. Deborah is difficult to approach, rarely returns an email or phone call and when she seems it necessary, is ill mannered and condescending.
Avoid if letting, or rent only brand new let's with excellent landlords that you can deal with whilst cutting out the time consuming and incompetent middle man.
If selling, I'm sure they are more than helpful, commission pending.
All talk and no trousers I'm afraid. We were encouraged to put our property on the market at one price which we were more than happy with, several weeks later we were encouraged to then drop it by £15k after no viewings. I have just had a phone call 5 months after initially putting it on the market from a very excited agent informing me he may be able to get us an offer from a recent viewing of £40k less than we had initially had it on the market for. Bearing in mind this is an apartment so not really a massive property where there this could be put down to an error of judgement. This would mean us selling the property for less than we bought it for when we have had a new kitchen, new ensuite and re-decorated it throughout to a very high standard. I could sell the property for that sort of price by myself without paying their £3k price tag! The agent then suggested I try and negotiate our forwarding property down to bridge the gap?!?!? Less than impressed, they might be dressed up as the business but they are nothing more than a bunch of cowboys and I would avoid at all costs!
HOMES Estate Agents -THE LISTENING AGENT.
We were moving from Kent to Alton so every viewing meant a long journey. With some agents it was a wasted journey and when we saw the property, clear they hadn't listened to what we wanted.
Sally Sanders really listened to what we wanted in a property and only showed us relevant properties. We knew the journey was worth making.
Who, selling their property really wants dozens of people viewing their house when it isn't at all what the buyer wants and there is no chance they will buy it.
Far better to employ an agent who does only two or three viewings but all three want to buy it.
AN AGENT WHO LISTENS TO THE BUYER IS EXCELLENT NEWS FOR THE SELLER.
HOMES were very professional, totally committed to finding us the property we wanted and in future we will choose them for buying and selling.
Terrible experience renting a property from start to finish- late to attend a viewing, bringing the wrong keys, loosing paperwork, not putting down the right deposit amounts (by a few hundred!), giving the wrong timescales for moving-in, not sending documents on time, not having tenancy agreements ready, loosing the keys again, giving us the wrong details for the property management company, and sending us vital information almost two weeks late. We now have the perfect home but I won't be going near Homes again.
From initially buying our flat through Bourne and now letting it out as landlords through their full management service, we've been very impressed with the team and in particular Jayne, who made everything super easy for us and was very patient with all of our questions! Would highly recommend.
Very helpful, very professional and overall a good service. I was very happy with the inventory clerk they hired and the overall service was friendly and lovely in every way. I feel I can contact them whenever and very easily and all our issues have been sorted very promptly. Would use again and would recommend.
