From a vendor's perspective, Bournes provided an excellent service from start to finish.
Julian knows the villages around the Andover area inside out, and is aware of some the local peculiarities that other agents simply aren't, but should be, aware of.
I can't recommended Bournes highly enough.

I would recommend Bournes Estate Agents 100 per cent! We rented a house from them over the last 18 months using their fully managed service. From the day we viewed the property until handing back the keys they were brilliant! Pauline in particular really made us feel at home in the rented house and was really quick to sort out any maintenance issues we had. Julian and Luke were also great and Luke even took the trouble to drive over within 10 mins to let me in when I locked myself out. Throughout the tenancy they have been professional and really responsive. Thank you to the whole team!

First class experience! We have just completed the sale of our home; very pleased and would highly reccomend them. They were by far the most accurate and professional with their valuation, market knowledge and general manner. Fees were just a bit lower than most others quoted.
We were kept updated throughout , even about general enquiries for our house. Everyone in the office knew exactly where we were with viewings etc at all times and they filtered out time wasting viewers wanting to make silly offers.
The brochure was well construted and more informative than others we'd seen with things like rights of way, covenants etc. Excellent! and thank you all for your hard work. Rob

We had a terrible experience just trying to view a property listed on the website. The person simply didn't seem interested in helping us. When my wife left a one-star review, they replied with some astonishing tale about a rental client that had nothing to do with us! Dodgy attempt to deflect a bad review or genuine mistake? WHO KNOWS? I certainly wouldn't want to buy a house off them either way.
Please note, the Estate Agent replied with a wall of text and offered no apology for the poor service - we had been told the seller hadn't been contacted 'for months', so the reasoning given in the reply doesn't actually tally with our experience.

Having been let down on a rental property through a private landlord, I needed somewhere to rent really quickly. I went to a couple of agents but Bournes were the only ones who could do a quick turnaround. With tenants no longer paying fees, I was really impressed with the high level of service and friendliness of the staff. They managed to get everything I asked for including taking my cat. When I put my father's home - three bed bungalow, lovely condition and a village location - on the market Julian was one of the agents who visited the house. I chose another - big mistake. After months of stalemate with my first agent, Julian contacted me again, shocked it hadn't been sold and said he was sure he could sell it. Albeit a trifle sceptical of agents promises by this time, I moved to Bournes and am so pleased I did - a new approach and great local knowledge - in weeks I had an offer and we have now completed. Everyone in the office knew the property when you called and were welcoming and helpful and were genuinely sensitive given the circumstances of the sale. I should have gone with Bournes earlier .........or even in the first place!

Tried to buy a house through these guys. Julian told me that there was someone else bidding on the property but then wouldn't allow me to make a counter offer. I found out the final accepted offer was 20% below the list price and one I would have easily beaten. Very strange and if I was the seller I would be mightily annoyed to have missed out on this upside.
Just seen the response below. This is 100% what happened. Once I have bought a house in the area I am more than happy to publish my name and provide all emails from Julian regarding this incident.

Definitely recommend. Have used Bournes as my letting agent for 8 flats in old house since 2011, and just used them to sell the property. As letting agent, always seemed fair to both tenants and landlord, clear communications, and never any cockups, despite headache of old, quirky, property with communal areas. As selling agent, went above and beyond to navigate a complex sale (see buyer Bruce Phillips below for buyers review). Very reasonable prices.

Had a boiler failure in our rental property, bournes were very quick to get this rectified so that we could have hot water and heating. Had to wait a day for the part, but we were kept updated and nothing was too much trouble. Great service, thank you.

Bournes have just let 3 of my properties. I was recommended to use them by a friend and I wasnt disappointed. We have used Bournes since they have started in business.......both as an private landlord and as company landlords.
The service has always been above and beyond what we expect from a Letting and Sales Agent. We have used them for both our lettings and the sale of our properties. They give a very professional but at the same time friendly and welcoming service. Always keeping the customer informed at every step of the process, both for the sale and the lettings.
The knowledge and experience they have between them is invaluable.
