Dean Speer gave me good advice about what needed to be done to make the unit more marketable and Jonathan Colquhoun liaised with the new tenants and made the whole process run smoothly. Initially with property valuation from John, who was very honest with his advice and knowledge of the area and the sales process. John was fantastic through the whole sales process, finding me a genuine buyer and keeping me informed along the way. He helped keep the chain together with both the sale and my purchase of a new home, without John we wouldn't have met the demands and time lines given to us. Would never hesitate to use Austin Hawk again, Thanks again to John and the wider team.

Joe, Donna ,Courtney and Helen were amazing, professional and friendly throughout the entire process, even with delays caused along the chain and the stressful situation the process can be, they went above and beyond to assist, chase up solicitors, other estate agents and be available whenever we needed them. Highly recommend!

13th May 2025 (10 days ago)Please scroll down other reviews and see I am not the only persons stating this! Again the company states poor behaviour of which there was none. See below for similar posts about the companies behaviour and odd requests!! This was my original post and I still stand by it! In this day and age women do make choices…. Maybe not in Hillier and Wilson’s business or family but certainly in mine and many of my friends. There is a law against this kind of discrimination toward me today and cannot believe that it occurred. It all started with my request to view a property that they were advertising. I was called and they stated as I was a Mrs there must be a Mr and what’s his name!?!? I found that strange but passed on my husband’s details. I then was contacted by them for a sooner viewing however when I said I would be coming alone they said I couldn’t as I needed to view with my Husband! I immediately told them that the original booking, I would have attending alone aswell. They immediately said that they’d not allow that one either, as I needed to attend with my husband! I was passed on to the equally rude male owner who then said it was a matter of lack of staff and them not wanting to do a second viewing. I promptly told him if I liked the property and offered, we’d require a second viewing anyway and he scoffed at me. Clearly showing it was, in fact that I was a woman viewing alone that they found unacceptable. Finally what made me not pursue was the male owners statement that due to my call and disagreement he would make sure only he was at the viewing and not his staff, I found this both a bullying tactic, a male chauvinistic attitude and frankly both unacceptable and intimating to say the least. Hence I didn’t book the viewing.- 17th Dec 2021 (3 years ago)We recently purchased a property through Savills that should have been a smooth process based on a small chain however for various reasons outside our or the buyers control it was far from it. Hayley was an angel and acted to keep our sellers calm and ensured we finally reached a completion date. Would absolutely return to Savills if we are brave enough to move again in the future!

I received regular updates on the progress of the sale, and my specific requests were responded to professionally and promptly. I would recommend Bournes to anyone looking for an estate agent that offers that little bit extra.
30th Jan 2024 (1 year ago)One of the worst experiences I have had. Incompetence doesn’t cover it. As someone who demands reliability and integrity I would not use this company. They are poor at communicating and when direct emails are sent they are ignored. If you are a seller I would choose another company as they will more than likely lose you clients. As a buyer I would go direct to the owner of the property and make an off the cards offer and cut them out.

Their liaison with the letting agents looking after the property was excellent and they put me in touch with a very proactive and proficient conveyancing solicitor all this combined with sound advice on selling and securing a buyer in quick time for the current market.
