Choosing an Estate Agent is always a gamble. But I was very pleasantly surprised how smoothly Gary and his excellent team handled our house sale. Professional, always quick to respond and great attention to detail. As an ex agent myself, it took a lot to instruct alternative agency, but it was a choice I was glad I made. Every one of the Beresfords team worked hard to get the sale to exchange. I can recommend them without reservation.

I and my partner have bought our first house through Beresfords. We saw quite a few houses before finding our dream house which was luckily listed by Beresfords.
We had numerous estate agents show us around different properties and Joe Pammen showed us around a couple of houses. Joe was professional, very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. One of the houses we viewed the estate agent was so pushy and trying to sell us the house it completely put us off. Both myself and my boyfriend was glad the house we purchased was through Beresfords as we trusted Joe and knew he wouldn’t try and push us into buying something we wasn’t happy with. Even down to putting the offer in and being updated was flawless.
Our chain became complicated near the very top due to us being at the bottom of the chain our solicitor struggled to get updates. Joe obtain whenever we called and it was never too much trouble he understood we just wanted to be kept updated. Gary also assisted with keeping us updated which we are thankful for.
We have now exchanged and will be moving soon. Buying a house is a very stressful time but we are very thankful to Joe, Gary and the team at Beresfords and when we need to use an estate agents again we will be using Beresfords

As a first time house buyer, we were made very comfortable with the professional service of the whole team at Beresfords Braintree. No question was considered insignificant or to much trouble, we had loads of questions being this was our first house buying experience. Lauren Payne and her colleagues were always a phone call or a email away. Whilst we were looking at houses, Lauren was really good at looking after us with offering other house options that meet our requirements that we hand not seen online. At the same time being mindful of the sellers needs. Lauren was upfront and transparent all the time making sure we understand everything. If you are looking to buy a house I would contact the Beresfords Braintree team. We have made our offer and this was accepted, Lauren has been so helpful thus far. We can not wait to move in to our new house and make it a home.

Debby really went out of her way to find me and my daughter a home. She was more than helpful, I’ve never had such a spectacular experience.
Not only did she find me a home but her kindness really kept me going with this journey. Her team members Christine and Chloe also deserve a 5 star rating too. Honestly, after this whole experience I will only ever rent with Berefords purely based on my experience.
Now my daughter and I are in a beautiful home. This was only achieved because Debby made it her priority to help me. Thank you once again :)

I have been renting through Beresfords for 3 years and they have been absolutely fantastic on every level, very professional, friendly helpful staff on every level.
When I found out that my landlord was selling the property we were renting I was very worried but the team at Beresfors eased my concerns and worrys every step of the way and I really felt at ease.
I have since found another property with Beresford and wouldn't want to use any other agency now.
The whole team have been amazing but I especially want to thank Debby Barnes at the Braintree branch who has really gone above and behond I feel to help me every step of the way.

Their level of professionalism and commitment to their clients is impressive. They went above and beyond to reassure both ourselves and the sellers that everything was being taken care of and we were promptly updated throughout the process.
Lauren has been there throughout to provide reassurance and answers to the thousands of questions thrown at her and has done so without a second thought. The entire team are friendly and helpful and always there to assist when necessary.
They have taken a lot of stress out of an already stressful experience and we will definitely be using them again in the future.

This is our first property to let and Beresfords helped us with everything in such a assistive manner. No aggressive sales, just genuine assistance.
They have been so helpful and walked us through everything and made the whole experience so much less stressful than expected.
Then, three years offers of the full asking rental on the first day of marketing.
You cannot want more than that.

We spent 9 weeks on the market with branocs, we would rate their service nothing more than mediocre. We had numorous emails they did not respond to, our second viewer was shown around by an employee of branocs who had never even seen our property so not sure he was the best to try and sell it. When we did get a buyer in the final day of our contract with branocs we felt they had her best interests rather than ours. No surprise to us the chain fell apart before it had time to even start. When we called to say we wanted to go with our new agent now our contract had run it's course my husband felt he was rudely spoken to.
No weekly update from them as promised, no info on what they were trying to do to get our property sold. We felt once we had signed up with them they just let us sit on rightmove and hoped for the phone to ring. There's more to being an estate agent than that branocs come on do your jobs!!

Beresfords were so quick to get me in to see a property that had just come up to let as well as follow up visits at the property and understood the timescale I was on and worked with it. Easy to communicate with and made the process of me moving from Kent to Essex very easy! The property management team were also very helpful and even followed up to make sure everything was sorted. Wasn't an easy decision to rent my first house out but felt they were really understanding of my worries and kept me updated at all times. Company did not send me a booking confirmation to see a house, then when we didn't turn up (because we didn't know where we were going) they called me, and quite rudely told me it was my fault and were adamant they sent me a booking confirmation. Unwilling to take responsibility for themselves. I would urge anyone selling there house or looking to buy, to stay away from these time wasters.

Would not recommend this company, unprofessional, rude, unhelpful and overall awful to deal with.
Almost harrassed us in the beginning of our purchase and then didnt bother to reply to emails once a sale was agreed.
Definitely made the whole process more stressful than necessary and unfortunately now would go elsewhere should we ever sell up!

Incompetent staff. The "letting agent" knew less about the house we were look I at than we did.
This was then followed by the director Gavin suddenly always being out of the office when we called to talk to him. Terrible service and rude approach to dealing with clients.
I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND.
Go to another estate or letting agent to avoid disappointment.

Sadly Beresfords aftercare for previous tenants is very poor. Failing to carry out promises, being told that they are “too busy”to redirect mail(there’s a post box right outside) it seems that the moment you stop being a client (I.e paying them money) they forget about customer service..
