I had an okay experience with this agency. The communication was great during the process, always kept informed by Reagan. There were a few times progress was stalled due to solicitors and Reagan stepped in to resolve straight away. The only thing I would offer as a suggestion is that, when I viewed my house for the first time, I thought I was making an appointment for a private viewing but it was an open house and this was overwhelming for me. Also, there was a need to go into the branch to speak to the mortgage advisor to make an offer and this was inconvenient for me (albeit this was waivered for me). To finish it off, Bridgfords gave me a little care package to say congratulations, which I think made a very stressful moving day a little easier. After moving in there were some communication issues, asking for the sign to be removed and also my house to be removed from RightMove. But other than that it was okay. Thank you Reagan! :)

Ciara and her team were professional and incredibly helpful. They were communicative and persistent with the vendor in order to get the sale over the line. Very bad estate agents, never answer phones, we leave countless voice messages to no reply back. Staff not helpful at all. They have promised us calls back but never do, massive let down and they have made our house move extremely stressful by providing no updates or information.

Very happy to recommend Bridgfords in Hazel Grove. We spoke to three Agencies on the phone before inviting two round to discuss further. We were really disappointed with the first, they were unprepared and quite pushy, but felt completely at ease when Ciara came round, she explained the process and how they could help, no pressure, it was an easy choice. The whole team have been great throughout, particulary Regan, Abby and Ellie who I've dealt with most. Very friendly and supportive, good advice and worked well together. They frequently chased down updates from the other people in the chain so that we new what was going on. Thanks Ciara, and the whole team!

We have just bought and sold a property where Bridgfords Hazel Grove were the agents on both transactions. We cannot recommend the team highly enough.
Ciara, Dale and Ellie went above and beyond for us in securing our desired property (which was not without complication) and selling our previous home (not only way above the price we had hoped for but, within a week of us signing the contract and before the professional photographs were taken).
The communication (including response times), enthusiasm, personality and professionalism was of the highest standard and demonstrated the importance of having the right team on your side.
We felt so confident with the service, we decided to use Katy (the branch’s in house mortgage adviser) as opposed to our regular mortgage broker and again we could not have been happier with the recommended product and Katy’s management of the process (we accepted a product that had never been recommended to us before and suits our circumstances perfectly).
We would recommend the whole team and Bridgfords without qualification and have already recommended them to others looking to buy or sell. Their service offered us great value for the fee.

A dire experience with the attempt to purchase our first home through Bridgfords Hazel Grove. What should have been a moment of joy and excitement has turned into one of anguish and extreme stress.
We made an offer to the house seller at the asking price, which was accepted. However, the bank set to finance our mortgage valued the property £25,000 below the agreed amount. When we returned to the estate agency to report this, the problems began.
The agency started pressuring us to come to their office and sign up for their mortgage service, insisting it was the only way to communicate the down valuation to the seller. They demanded the house valuation report, despite knowing that banks, during the mortgage application process, do not provide a detailed valuation report. The only document provided by the bank to our mortgage advisor, containing the down valuation, was sent to Bridgfords consultants, who refused to accept it or forward it to the homeowner. We endured weeks of stress, feeling compelled to visit the estate agency to sign up for Bridgfords' services, even though we already had a mortgage advisor and conveyancer.
Yesterday, we were informed that unless we provide a detailed valuation report of the house, it will be returned to the market, and we will be withdrawn from the negotiation. Our mortgage advisor explained repeatedly that banks do not provide such reports. It's astonishing that an agency the size of Bridgfords is unaware of the mortgage application process.
Throughout the past week, we were coerced and blackmailed by Bridgfords, who continuously insisted they would only pass on the undervaluation if we visited their office.
In addition to these distressing and humiliating weeks, we will suffer financial losses because our conveyancer had already initiated the process.

I can’t praise Bridgefords enough! They swooped in and essentially saved the day when our sale fell through with another estate agents. They had our property sold within 2 working days and we could still proceed with our purchase.
All the way through the process they were attentive and couldn’t have helped us more and answered all questions the same day no matter how big or small.

We bought our first house which was registered with Bridgfords and it was an incredibly upsetting and stressful experience. Reagan refused to put our offer to the vendor for four days because we wouldn’t attend a financial services appointment due to already having a mortgage advisor and solicitor. When my mortgage advisor called Reagan to address this she hung up on him. The only way I eventually got my offer to the vendor was by telling their internal mortgage advisor that I was being bullied into an appointment with him and he was then able to raise it internally and get my offer sent. Nobody bothered to tell me when my offer did go over, I was constantly calling for updates yet the phones are barely ever answered. What was supposed to be an exciting time for us buying our first house was overshadowed by the stress of dealing with Bridgfords. It’s now been a month since moving in and the sold sign is still outside the house waiting to be collected.

I had a really good experience with the team at Hazel Grove. Every time I went in or spoke on the phone they were friendly and helpful. They kept me up to date through the process without my having to chase them, and even did plenty of chasing of the other side on my behalf when completion dates went awry. Brook was the lady I spent most of my time with, but everyone there was amazing. As a little side-note, I really felt like they were excited for me when I went to collect the keys. You'd think they'd get bored of seeing it happen all the time, but they genuinely feel like lovely people.
I used their in-house mortgage advisor Andy and honestly he really made the process a thousand times easier and less stressful than past moves I've been through. He really went above and beyond to help me and I'm very happy with the mortgage deal he got me as well.
Can't think of a single negative to say about any of it. They were all amazing and I'm incredibly grateful that they made everything so stress-free for me.

Awful experience with Bridgfords when trying to purchase a property. I don't even know where to start - whether it was them insisting you use their mortgage advisor and solicitors before submitting your offer because in their words "the vendors are more likely to choose you as a buyer," them insisting you take in all your identification (driving licence, passports etc.) for photocopying previous to your offer being submitted to the vendor (I'm interested to know whether this was in line with their data protection policy?) because apparently "they're likely to go with your offer," or them hounding you to register your property for sale with them when your buyer pulled out. This is only scratching the surface, it was a really aggressive sales technique. When raising concerns to the manager Glen during the process, I was told that the vendors of the property are their customers. We got to the point where we stopped viewing Bridgfords properties because I couldn't take the bullying culture anymore. Really surprised to read any positive reviews as we've had at least two other friends who have had similar experiences.

Glen and the team have been really helpful since the beginning. They already had a couple of potential buyers lined up before the house even went on the market and have been very proactive with marketing and selling our house.
Glen was so helpful initially when taking photos of the property and really helped us to make the house look as lovely as possible. The photos he took were also very professional and everything was so quick and efficient!
We have been kept up to date about everything and we have felt cared for throughout the process.
Reagan and Seeta have also been great. They came to look at the house and asked lots of questions when it first went on the market which we felt was essential for them to understand the property they'd be selling. This was a great touch! Reagan in particular has been very involved in selling the property and did many of our viewings. She's lovely and very proactive when seeking feedback from viewings.

Whenever I contacted the branch to raise important inquiries, I received either an immediate answer, or the staff would swiftly contact the relevant channels to get whatever was required. This ultimately led to a short time-frame between having an offer accepted and contracts being exchanged.

An honest review ... I was doubtful at the beginning thinking estate agents were all the same just put your house on the internet and away you go .. We've recently both sold our old house and purchased our new with Bridgfords in Hazel Grove and I can't fault the service we received. Whenever I called for an update or to ask them to do something to push the transaction along, they were straight on the case to help/chase solicitors/give advice without hesitation.
Glen, Ciara and the team are brilliant - they know what they're doing and even with my frequent phone calls (I like to be kept up to date at every stage) they really do work hard for you. Thank you to the whole team!

Nothing but lies upon lies with the Hazel Grove branch. Such an awful experience!!! Still waiting to move, that's if the sellers of the house we're buying don't pull out as its taking so long. Glen Heaton is of no help whatsoever and just keeps stringing a load of lies to not just us but other buyers as well! Clearly no one has any idea on how to do their job properly and they definitely don't know how to keep you updated on how it's all going. We have had no reassurance from them and no time line on how long it's actually going to take! I would never recommend their services and would never buy or sell a house with them again, it's clear that all they're bothered about is taking your money but not actually selling your house!

Probably the rudest person I have ever dealt with today! I have been in the house market over 6 months now, I am selling a home and buying a home, I have been in a chain that unfortunately didn't go though, and my house has sold and im here again trying find our perfect home. Basically I have delt with many estate agents and ive never been so put of, from buying a house as i have today! The adviser was rude, pushy and only cared about making me come in to discuss mortages rather then letting me view the house, he lied about it being sold as well. Worst thing is i was actually dealing with Bridgfords Stockport in my last chain and didnt have any issues. But yeah me and my wife will not be using Hazel Grove branch, and we wont view or bid on any houses they sell. Oh and to top it all off he didn't believe i was serious buyer, that's why i was treated in such a bad way IMO.

My wife and I couldn’t recommend Glen and the team highly enough! They were absolutely incredible during our recent sale process, and we are both very grateful for all their hard work and patience.
We unfortunately found ourselves caught up in a horrible chain, which had the Highways agency purchasing the property at the bottom of the chain under a compulsory purchase order. This brought an increased element of uncertainty and difficulty, as exchange and completion had to happen on the same day! In consequence, we found ourselves facing and incredibly stressful, nerve racking and frustrating process! Couple that with some non-communicative solicitors and difficult buyers and the whole process turned out to be quite the nightmare... but thank goodness for Bridgfords!!!
When facing all this stress and uncertainty, we were just so glad to have Glen and the team in our corner - he really went above and beyond, liaising with all parties in the chain as required, and basically being the only person in the the whole process we could actually count upon!!
We’re massively relieved and delighted to be in our new home and to have the sale through, and I’m genuinely not sure we’d have got there without the Bridgford team’s hard work.
Professional and personable to the end, and with a real tenacity and passion to get the job done, we just can’t recommend them enough!

Everyone in the office was always friendly and always there to offer support and help. I did my morgage through bridgefords aswell and he was lovely not your typical pushy morgage advisor. They all made the process a lot easier for me as it got quite complex. There all very upbeat and even my daughter enjoyed popping in the office for a chat. Thanks guys x

I neither bought, nor sold through Bridgfords. The reason I am writing this review is in order to bring attention to a superstar named Amy. Over the course of a 3 month house hunt Amy was consistently in touch. She would call not only to bring to my attention any properties that she had on her books, but also to see where I was up to in general. This level of customer service was unrivaled by any of the dozen or so agents in my search. If Amy continues to work as hard, as she does smart , I have no doubt she can go very far. 10/10 - Well done Amy

I have just bought a house on sale with Bridgfords. It was slightly more stressful as the house had been repossessed so was being sold by a bank rather than an individual so even after our offer was accepted it stayed "for sale"! Amy was absolutely amazing, helping us to progress with the sale as fast as possible. She always went the extra mile and out of her way to chase things for us and get back to us with an answer straight away. Mel and Glen were also fab, never does the phone just ring out, theres always someone there to help that knows whats going on with your sale. It was a great experience and we managed to get from viewing to completion within a month! Thank so much guys, will be in touch when we decide to sell!!

Very unhappy with Glen Heaton branch manager. So I had a number of issues with them not showing for viewings I had booked. The first time I received a call from the agent saying her daughter had been taken into hospital and it was to rearrange the viewing the next day (which was fine as I was informed). Anyway the next day I waited and waited, nobody showed. Called up and told she was on her way. After 40 minutes past waiting with another customer who wanted to view I decided to leave. The agent hadn't made it into the work that day due to her daughter still being in hospital. Fully understand however the Hazel Grove office should have rung around all customer to cancel or move appointments (pretty standard for estate agents to do this). Anyway everyone makes mistakes so I booked more viewings with them. One of them was an open viewing 12:30 until 13:30 (received confirmation email). I got a call 11:30 asking where I was. He asked if I could get there and I couldn't until 12:30 but it was too late. If it was an open viewing from 11:30 for an hour they should still have been there at 12:30. Anyway we rearrange the appointment for another day and 25 minutes before the viewing I get a call to cancel. Anyway after saying how unhappy I was I asked that the branch manager called me. Straight away his tone wasn't very good. I mean mine wasn't great but I had just been messed around 3 times and getting pretty fed up with it. Being a cash investor too this is what they want. They state they had someone off sick yet wait till 13:35 to cancel the appointment which is at 2PM when they new they were ill at 9AM. Anyway the call didn't go well and basically ended up with Glen Heaton Bridgford Hazel Grove saying I am not going to be selling any other houses even if you had 10 million in the bank. Not sure what money has to do with it but in my books you don't do this. I am sure Bridgfords main office will have a different opinion on this and want to sell to anyone they can. He acted like he owned the Office rather than manage it. He also then made out that only good investments could be ever got through him anyway and that you never see them on the market. I'm a busy person and was heated about it but they had messed up and all they needed to say was sorry. Let's just say I will be making a complaint and following it up. Meanwhile Stockport office said they can let me view the properties. Seems to me like Glen is keeping the good houses for his own investors. He also said I think I am better than anyone else. No not at all Glen just don't like having my time wasted, repeatedly anyway. Think they need to find a new branch manager.

1st is Emma who come to value my house she is extremely smart professional in her manner yet friendly and someone who you could talk to, I have been a sales person most of my working life, and know someone who can close a sale, this young lady is one of the best assumptive closer I have ever met and a credit and asset to your company. When I agreed to go through your company Emma brought Mel round to look at the house to see what type of house they were trying to sell, how good is that no agent has ever done that?
2 Mel she is a bubbly lady and always ready to help in any way she can, very smart in her appearance at all times. Professional in her manner and is very good on the phone makes you feel you are phoning a friend, and knows when to be assertive without being rude and that is the sign of one very good sales person again she is an asset to your company
3 Sales manager Glen, he is friendly efficient and extremely professional, always ready to help and talk to you, always looks smart in his appearance, he is the driving force in a very competitive market and makes sure that his staff stay proactive and always has a friendly smile when you walk into the office an asset to your company,
If I were looking for sales staff then I would employ these people as they would be an asset to any company, there are lots of estate agents I have seen over the last few months and without exception none come close to Emma Mel @Glen Well done

Following a further accepted offer through another estate agent (which cannot and do not begin to compete with the service Bridgfords provide), this again fell through. We had a very unusual and large property with over 4 acres of parkland to sell. Bridgfords Hazel Grove persuaded us that they were the team to engage. Despite the property not being on the market for over 45 years, they researched the area and the property. We went on the market in May 2015 and had 4 serious parties wanting the property. Bridgfords team helped us qualify the buyers and then supported the sale to completion. There is no way that this could have been handled by an online agent.
Overall they were simply there for us and excellent throughout the whole process.
