Restored my faith in humanity and Estate Agents during the recent sale of my mothers flat. Despite our inept solicitors making the process as slow as possible EM went above and beyond to close the sale.
Without doubt the best I have used locally and would recommend them to anyone reading this.

My wife and I couldn’t recommend Glen and the team highly enough! They were absolutely incredible during our recent sale process, and we are both very grateful for all their hard work and patience.
We unfortunately found ourselves caught up in a horrible chain, which had the Highways agency purchasing the property at the bottom of the chain under a compulsory purchase order. This brought an increased element of uncertainty and difficulty, as exchange and completion had to happen on the same day! In consequence, we found ourselves facing and incredibly stressful, nerve racking and frustrating process! Couple that with some non-communicative solicitors and difficult buyers and the whole process turned out to be quite the nightmare... but thank goodness for Bridgfords!!!
When facing all this stress and uncertainty, we were just so glad to have Glen and the team in our corner - he really went above and beyond, liaising with all parties in the chain as required, and basically being the only person in the the whole process we could actually count upon!!
We’re massively relieved and delighted to be in our new home and to have the sale through, and I’m genuinely not sure we’d have got there without the Bridgford team’s hard work.
Professional and personable to the end, and with a real tenacity and passion to get the job done, we just can’t recommend them enough!

Very unhappy with Glen Heaton branch manager. So I had a number of issues with them not showing for viewings I had booked. The first time I received a call from the agent saying her daughter had been taken into hospital and it was to rearrange the viewing the next day (which was fine as I was informed). Anyway the next day I waited and waited, nobody showed. Called up and told she was on her way. After 40 minutes past waiting with another customer who wanted to view I decided to leave. The agent hadn't made it into the work that day due to her daughter still being in hospital. Fully understand however the Hazel Grove office should have rung around all customer to cancel or move appointments (pretty standard for estate agents to do this). Anyway everyone makes mistakes so I booked more viewings with them. One of them was an open viewing 12:30 until 13:30 (received confirmation email). I got a call 11:30 asking where I was. He asked if I could get there and I couldn't until 12:30 but it was too late. If it was an open viewing from 11:30 for an hour they should still have been there at 12:30. Anyway we rearrange the appointment for another day and 25 minutes before the viewing I get a call to cancel. Anyway after saying how unhappy I was I asked that the branch manager called me. Straight away his tone wasn't very good. I mean mine wasn't great but I had just been messed around 3 times and getting pretty fed up with it. Being a cash investor too this is what they want. They state they had someone off sick yet wait till 13:35 to cancel the appointment which is at 2PM when they new they were ill at 9AM. Anyway the call didn't go well and basically ended up with Glen Heaton Bridgford Hazel Grove saying I am not going to be selling any other houses even if you had 10 million in the bank. Not sure what money has to do with it but in my books you don't do this. I am sure Bridgfords main office will have a different opinion on this and want to sell to anyone they can. He acted like he owned the Office rather than manage it. He also then made out that only good investments could be ever got through him anyway and that you never see them on the market. I'm a busy person and was heated about it but they had messed up and all they needed to say was sorry. Let's just say I will be making a complaint and following it up. Meanwhile Stockport office said they can let me view the properties. Seems to me like Glen is keeping the good houses for his own investors. He also said I think I am better than anyone else. No not at all Glen just don't like having my time wasted, repeatedly anyway. Think they need to find a new branch manager.
We were at the top of a long chain involving five houses and were reliant on the five buyers below us before we could move out of our home. Being at the end of the chain was a constant worry as we felt at any time one of the chain links below us could have been broken down which would have taken us back to square one. Jeanette at Mosley Jarman provided what we could only describe as exceptional service. The level of communication and reassurance that Jeanette provided us with kept us sane during an extremely stressful time attempting to move with our young family. Jeanette is not your stereotypical estate agent she is friendly, calm, knowledgeable, she really cares and we felt she was with us every step of the way. I never had to chase for an update because Jeanette would ring us twice a week and not only updated us on the sale of our house but also updated me on the sale of the other four houses involved in the chain as well so we knew exactly where everything was up to at all times. Jeanette took control of the whole chain and effectively communicated from the bottom to the top of the chain so everyone involved in our move knew where everyone was up to. From the beginning Jeanette agreed a target exchange date with all parties and then spent the proceeding 6 weeks making sure that this date was not deviated from. Without Jeanette we do not believe that we would have sold our house and we really can’t thank her enough. Without her constant communications I believe it would have been inevitable that little or poor communication between the links in the chain would have led to the chain collapsing. The perception a lot of people have of estate agents is that once the buyer is found they don’t do a lot to earn their commission. Our perception is that our agent earned their commission and some. There are a lot of DIY estate agency options around now where you are on your own. Don’t do it! You will have no support, it will cost you money and stress. You need to leave it to the professionals and Jeanette and the team at MJ are 1st class professionals.
Found the staff who did the viewings very good the downside was the after acceptance of the sale that the negotiating skills needed a lot to be desired. In fact verging on bullying.
