We were looking for a bungalow to rent.
Found one rang up on the morning spoke to a lovely woman called Annie. Shown round that afternoon. Annie was very polite and professional.
Decided to go for the bungalow, filled out application form and waited. When I contacted the office spoke to a young man called Jack. Again very polite and professional, both kept me informed of what was happening either by phone or email.
Met Jack on day of getting keys.

I had my late father's bungalow on the market with another agent for 6 months with little interest and few viewings , so changed agents to Bridgefords in Northallerton .
They held an open day created interest and sold at the asking price in first two weeks!
They were also very good at keeping things moving between ourselves , buyers and conveyancing solicitors.
Exchanged and completed in less than 2 months , should have used them from the start.

We have just completed on a house advertised by Bridgefords Northallertion and it was a catalogue of factual inaccuracies, breathtaking errors and a tone-deaf approach in dealing with us as buyers.
It started well with a viewing conducted by a delightful sales agent. However, her lack of knowledge about the property soon became apparent. She told us the self-contained annex in the garden plus container were included in the sale. Once our offer had been accepted we discovered neither were included. Even worse, the seller planned to re-locate them to a ransom strip at the bottom of the adjoining field we were buying.
The seller then gazumped us and Bridgefords invited us to increase our offer. We said our offer had already been accepted “who told you that?” they asked. “err – by you and in writing”. We said we would be keeping our appointment for a second viewing and discuss the matter with the sellers. Bridgefords asked “who agreed a second viewing” “mmmm well that would be you again - and again we have it in writing from you”.
Needless to say it didn’t get better. For whatever reason Bridgefords persuaded the sellers not to use their chosen solicitor and to use one of their own recommended online solicitors – XYZ Law. Neither Bridgefords, the seller or our solicitor ever got hold of them. Turns out the practice had already been shut down by the Solicitors Regulation Authority due to “reason to suspect dishonesty, failure to comply with the SRA principles, accounts rules, and the Code of Conduct”. Would you trust Bridgefords to safely and legally sell your home? After 3 months of flip flopping in trying to secure a solicitor the sellers eventually went back to the one they originally chose and the selling process could finally start.
Whenever we went into the office – usually because they wouldn’t return our calls or emails – staff were unhelpful and dismissive. Staggeringly the Office Manager Tony emailed us asking in his own words for a “cheeky request” to leave a 5* Google Review so they could win an inter-office competition. He followed that with a snotty, unprofessional email to all 3 solicitors involved in our sale that showed he clearly was not on top of progress.
We’ve dealt with many estate agents in our house search. Bridgefords was the worst by a country mile. Avoid at all costs.

We couldn't recommend Dwight (Countrywide Mortgage Services) enough. Dwight has been great throughout the whole process, as first time buyers, we had no idea what to expect but Dwight kept us informed of everything we needed to know which was very reassuring. Dwight always only a phone call away if we had any questions. He is very approachable, reassuring and friendly which definitely helped reduce stress when buying our house.

My son renting property from bridgfords mold and damp in the ceiling. Previously 2 more tenants before moved out because of same problem yet they send decorators in to cover the mould knowing fine it's not livable. They are due a new born in March still nothing done but sent builder around saying its condensation yea whatever. Saying to them which by the way are a young couple having there 1st born .they are now threatened they cant leave because in contract for 12 months absolutely disgraceful now have raw sewage coming in under sink under no circumstances use this firm
