Helen was so professional from our first visit and stood out head and shoulders above the local competition.
We then largely dealt with Natalie who is brilliant at her job. She understood that our neurodivergent household needed some extra help and patience and she always did what she promised and went the extra mile.
We had a long process which was no fault of Bridgfords and Natalie made sure our buyers were kept in the loop.
Couldn’t recommend Bridgfords Yarm more highly.

Bridgfords Yarm provided a very professional service when my Mam purchased her new home through them in January 2024. The communication was regular and helpful and we felt the purchase was progressed smoothly without any unnecessary delays.They took on board any issues we had and acted very fairly between us and the vendors. We felt they tried their very best for both parties at all times. Our only complaint would be regarding Bridgford’s recommendation of which firm of Solicitors to use to handle the conveyancing; the Solicitors’ communication was below standard and the explanation of fees was unsatisfactory at best. Lastly, we would like to give special mention to Natalie at Bridgfords. She is professional, responsive and extremely capable but, more importantly, patient and reassuring which was so appreciated by my near 80 year-old Mum for whom this process was quite daunting. Thank you, Natalie from the whole family.

To say the sale of our house and the purchase of our new home was less than straightforward is a huge understatement, what is one of the most stressful events could have been even worse than awful if it wasn’t for Natalie and Helen at Bridgefords Yarm branc. Their tenacity and determination to try to speed up the process was excellent, we had constant updates and it was very reassuring to know that they were our link with solicitors, other estate agents and clients in the chain who would get things done - a huge thank you, we simply cannot fault the service we got for them.

Everytime I would try call Bridgefords Yarm, I would never get an answer. Leaving a message you then may or not get a response. If theyre selling your home for you and your unable to get in contact with them that presents a problem. Do potential buyers have the same issue?!
They are also 1% ex vat! It's not good value, and when I asked to terminate even when they didn't manage to get a single person through the door for a viewing they made me wait the term of termination. Speaking with other agents they said performing that poorly they were suprised they made me wait. Glad to move on.

Excellent service from Helen and her team in Yarm. I would recommend them without hesitation.
From the initial valuation meeting with Helen (valuation spot on with our thoughts), the familiarisation visit by the Yarm team to be knowledgeable with enquiries, the viewings that quickly came in, the offer that we accepted (over our asking price), the nudging of the solicitors when needed, and the excellent communication all round.
Thank you Helen, we very much appreciate all of your efforts to make our sale smooth and speedy.

When first putting my house on the market both Bridgfords and another agent gave prices.
I went with the other agent whose price was higher. (Greedy)
After a year with only two viewings and being assured my asking price was correct I returned to Bridgfords to reassess the situation.
Instructed Bridgfords at their original pricing and within a couple of weeks the viewings appeared. One of which produced an acceptable offer.
Efficient friendly professional and more to point displaying accurate assessments of the current housing market.
The Yarm team were a pleasure to deal with during the stresses of moving house.
Would highly recommend to all house hunters.

I cannot say this strongly enough DO NOT USE Countrywide Mortgage Services!
Countrywide Mortgage Services who use the back office of Bridgfords in Yarm High St, their advisor is very unorganised and disrespectful. The setup is not private and you will not get a fair comparison or deal from them.
The office used is open to the public in the shop and a thoroughfare to the staff amenities in the back so your conversations regarding your finances and personal situation are not private or secure.
The advisor provided me with no paper work and in conversations told me incorrect details of my mortgage illustrations. His poor organisation meant that I was chasing him for details constantly and it took weeks to get a response. He signed documents to say that he had given me copies when he had not.
He promised several options of mortgages but I was only offered 2 different terms with 1 lender not a variety of lenders and options. He also used my relatives details to arrange the mortgage with the lender breaching GDPR to which the lender apologised profoundly and swiftly corrected his mistake.
He lost my card and payment details for their services and when confronted with these concerns he aggressively dismissed us and accused us of the mistakes.
I raised all of my complaints (there are more to these mentioned) through there complaints procedure, it was passed off to a 3rd party who after months of chasing them to investigate dismissed my complaint saying "We cannot find anything wrong with the services provided"
Again I cannot say this strongly enough DO NOT USE Countrywide Mortgage Services!

I cannot praise the staff at Bridgfords, Yarm highly enough! We recently completed the purchase of a property in Yarm for which they were the selling agent and we have been treated as if we were their client. They have been a true friend to us in the buying process, constantly knitting everything together between all parties and always responding promptly and thoroughly to every question we’ve had. Without their diligent and professional management of the process, the completion would have dragged on and I’m sure, would still be outstanding. Their service to their vendor has therefore been impeccable too. Within 2 days of Alison contacting us regarding a house that we may have been interested in, she made it possible for us to view it the following day. It turned out to be the house of our dreams and subject to contract the sale was agreed by all parties that day!

I had originally appointed another estate agent to sell my property in September 2018. With the property being on the market with this agent for 3 months, Bridgfords approached me and outlined how they could sell it, if I chose to engage them. I was impressed as to how pro-active they were in noting that the property was still on the market with the other agent and how confident they were that they could find me a buyer, which is exactly what they did! Within 2 weeks, Bridgfords had identified 3 potential buyers, all of whom viewed the property with one of the parties making a very realistic offer which I accepted and the sale has now been completed. Bridgfords kept me informed at every stage of the process and I was very impressed with their professional level of service. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them if you are thinking of selling your home. They know what they are doing!

My wife and I found Bridgfords in Yarm to be excellent agents, for the following reasons.
Firstly the team were enthusiastic from the outset, indeed it was because a promotional card had been left at our property (28 Old Market) that made us consider the company.
The initial meeting echoed this enthusiasm, and we felt they were on our side and genuinely keen to sell the property.
We were then very impressed with the package offered and equally, the excellent communications that continued throughout the entire sale process.
They were courteous, professional, and efficient.
They kept us up to date at every stage, and when our legal representatives were dragging their feet, the Bridgfords team did their best to speed up the process, in other words they went the extra mile on our behalf, and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to other potential customers.

During a recent house move, I sought advice from Philip Harrison, the branch’s Senior Mortgage Consultant. I wanted to deal face-to-face as my existing mortgage provided offered a very poor service by telephone only, which was potentially delaying my house move.
