I recently rented and sold a flat with bridgfords Washington and unfortunately I’ve been left very disappointed with the service provided. Bridgfords were noticeably more expensive than competitors (I.e. 40% premium on other estate agents) and the service provided when selling the flat was poor overall.
When I’d call their offices I would either not be able to get through or would be promised a callback which wouldn’t materialise which was very frustrating. The sale of my flat took 10 months with no chain and it realistically shouldn’t have taken anywhere near this long. A lot of the delays were caused by unresponsiveness either by bridgfords or by their recommended solicitors (which were also unresponsive and expensive compared to competitors).
This poor service was disappointing and could have largely been avoided. Without emails/calls chasing there were weeks which would pass when nothing progressed. I was advised by bridgfords to end tenancy (2 months notice) as I was under the impression that completion was imminent, after tenants moved out the flat was empty for nearly 2 months which increased unnecessary costs of owning the vacant flat.
Unfortunately at this stage I wouldn’t recommend using bridgfords.

I'm extremely disappointed with Bridgeford's unprofessional and unethical behavior regarding my security deposit refund. After moving out of Grasmere Gardens 26 days ago, I've been met with complete silence and disregard.
Despite multiple emails and calls, no one has bothered to respond or provide any explanation for withholding my deposit. The lack of communication and transparency is appalling.
As a tenant, I fulfilled all obligations, including inspecting the apartment before vacating. Bridgeford's failure to refund my deposit is not only unfair but also damaging to my mental well-being.
I caution potential tenants against renting with Bridgeford due to their questionable business practices. Their disregard for customers' rights and concerns is alarming.

Worse estate agent office ever by a massive margin. I'm dealing with estate agents for 20 years never experienced such a terrible customer service. Both seller & buyer were frustrated to infinity & beyond.
You will be lucky if anyone even answered your phone calls. Massive fees too. Stear clear. Anyone else will do just fine. Bridgefords Washington not!

Enquired about a property with Bridgfords and had a couple phone calls with Georgia who worked hard to fit a viewing around our availability (which was a little difficult given the significant commute for us). We ended up going with a different property for proximity reasons but highly recommend Bridgfords' team, they're very helpful and accommodating!

I’m absolutely thrilled with the level of service I’ve experienced listing my property. We’ve been assisted and supported by James Mansfield at the branch, who has impressed us on every level.
Nothing is too much trouble for him, he clearly cares about his clients and James is extremely customer centric which has led me to write a review as such great service is quite rare I find. James’s market and industry knowledge has really helped us to make key decisions and there’s not been any aspect which has felt stressful.

Joanne price has been absolutely amazing during my whole process with repairing a boiler that blew and electrics being completly damaged.
Joanne went above and beyond her duties to make sure me and my young daughter were okay during the stressful situation I was in.
She made sure all repairs were carried out within 24hours and making sure I was updated every step of the way I couldn't thank her enough!

Connor was so lovely showing us our now rented house, so professional and helped us through the whole process why keeping us updated and we was very lucky enough to be accepted.
We moved from Manchester and saw a couple of houses but the house we are in now was far the best for the best money.
We moved in very quickly (within 2 weeks ) and set up our new home in South shields.

The support received through out has been excellent. CONNOR RAMSHAW was the letting agent dealing with my new house he made sure we understood everything we were doing, giving me timelines and explaining how each process worked and what we would need. Connor always called with updates and always made time if I had questions or concerns. Edit: having initially given an excellent review (which was solicited in any event as bonuses are linked to it) it later transpired that promises had been made to a tenant for improvements without authorisation by us, having lodged a complaint, it was dismissed out of hand in a rude and arrogant manner stating incorrect ‘legal advice’. After the complaint, the tenant was contacted directly by Bridgfords we assume in order to attempt to cause further issues between us, we can only guess that it was as retaliation for the complaint, luckily we have an excellent relationship with all our tenants and we were able to compromise on the minor matters raised, we would not use Bridgfords again.
I have removed the individuals name from the original review to avoid embarrassment.

Most of all if anybody is looking for someone to do there mortgage for them LIAM BUNKER is AMAZING !! I cant recommend him highly enough! His service, skills and manner are amazing and he was so helpful through out all of the process- we had more contact with Liam than our solicitor which was in fact much better. He went above and beyond for us which we were so grateful for especially in the last coming weeks of the move!
