I've had a disappointing experience with a below-standard estate agent who seems unwilling to accommodate meetings. They consistently fail to return calls, and trying to book appointments to see a property with a 5 days' notice feels too late, let alone arranging viewings for the next or same day, which invariably gets a 'no' without even checking with the vendor. The attitude seems presumptive, judging affordability based on my stated budget rather than my actual capacity to spend, leading to the refusal to arrange two viewings. This is frustrating as I am prepared to invest significantly more for the right property. Unlike their competitors, all staff members I interacted with at this agency were notably unhelpful. My engagements with other agencies in Whitstable have been overwhelmingly positive by comparison. A word of caution to sellers considering this route - based on my experience, if you're looking for an agency committed to doing their best to sell your house, Christopher Hodgson Whitstable will not do the right thing by you.

The whole team were great whenever we were in touch, but our particular gratitude goes to Joe Jezzard who accompanied us every step of the way as our allocated agent. He provided a very personalised service, combining outstanding professionalism with warmth, calm and kindness. We felt extremely supported in getting successfully through a process everyone finds stressful. Yesterday my partner and I viewed a property in Whitstable. We were shown around by Felicity and she was absolutely fantastic! Right from the offset she took control of the showing. As soon as we stepped into the property she gave us detailed information and really orientated us around the house. She was fully knowledgeable about every aspect of the property and was able to answer all our questions. We have viewed quite a lot of houses in the past year and she has been by far the best estate agent we have dealt with at a house showing. She came across as confident, knowledgeable and professional. Anyone selling their house through Christopher Hodgson and having her do the showings is in good hands.
